It’s time for brother Gavin to lose his bachelorhood or is it?
Well into his life walks Fiona a human reporter who is trying to track down the paranormal being that attacked and killed her friend when they were younger. She has no idea about Gavin or his brothers but it’s all going to unwind…
Normally I wouldn’t read books out of order in a series and I have read only a few of these and I must say the story flows regardless so you could read and enjoy it as a stand alone. I love Gargoyle shifters and this author always gives a great story.
Holy hot rocking Gargoyles! I loved this fan-freaking-tastic must read so hard! “Knights of Stone: GAVIN” is the latest smoking hot, rocker, shifter with magic, and a fresh new romantic suspense storyline that grabbed me from the start! … With great descriptions & awesome relatable characters and witty dialogue, this page-turner will hook readers, too! … I highly recommend this to adult 18+ fans of fiction & I can’t wait for more- but I will!
Gavin the last brother holding out on claiming a mate because he wants to make sure that he experiences all the women everywhere the band plays at least that is what he thought until he was in the dumps about a woman that he spent several nights with the last time they played in Iverness. They are playing in the same club again and he is hoping that Fiona the beautiful journalist he wants to spend time with so that he can get her out of his system and move on. You cannot feel sorry for Gavin in any way because he is such a hot sexy female charmer Gargoyle shifter. He and his brothers attract a lot of women anytime they play and now that they are all mated except Gavin he felt it was his duty to charm as many women as he could find. Fiona has seemed to have changed him since he saw her six weeks ago because he is not as happy because he cannot get the woman off his mind but when he catches Fiona way in the back of the club. He can hardly wait to be with her but then he remembers what the club owner told him that someone had been asking questions about the band something didn’t sound right about what he was asking, Gavin informed his brothers and they addressed the rumors about their antics on stage. Gavin has Fiona on the brain he is not satisfied as he thought he would be and ended up spending all his time with Fiona and she was just as thrilled with this hot man but she also checked his entire body and she could not find anything wrong to indicate that he was not human, Fiona remembers her childhood friend and she meets a man Mark at the club who heard what she heard the first night she came in and he creeps her out because he has a scar and attitude that is just as ugly. And he seems to be after the band for something he believes they did to him. Great Storyline. Adult content. Some great action. I was given a copy as a gift from the author without obligation. I have provided an honest review.
This is the seventh book in the series and is a wonderful addition to the series. This is Gavin and Fiona’s book I really liked these two but they come with some baggage, I liked this book and was nice to see Gavin find his one even if he did not know that he needed her. We start the book with him determined to stay single but once he meets Fiona he just cannot forget her. A super read I really love this series
Just an amazing read, Rick stars, really hot men, who are hard everywhere when they turn to stone. Finding a mate and the secret they all live with. Exciting, hot and really tempting. Not to mention the HEA that just puts the cherry on top.

While Gavin cared about his sisters-in-law, he couldn’t understand why his brothers would want to limit themselves when as rock stars there were women galore. He sure didn’t plan to make that mistake.
Then he found this one at a performance. His usual one and done didn’t work this time. Why, he didn’t know. She wasn’t even a Paranormal. Human. No way could chance her finding out what they were. It was too dangerous. So how did he keep seeing her and keep his secret?
The final brother meets the one. This has been a wonderful series. There are few Gargoyle books out there and Ms. Carlisle does them the best. Fans of Rock Star Romance and those Gargoyle fans get double enjoyment. All fans who like a good romance will find it here. Enjoy. Now I just have to wait to see what else the author has in store.
I have been enjoying this series and this book is a wonderful addition to it. I feel that you could read this as a standalone read but I also think you would understand the bigger picture of the overall series and get hours of reading pleasure from reading the full series. I liked Gavin and Fiona so much. I thought they were both complex and complicated, with many levels to discover and baggage from their pasts to explore. The story itself was well written and held my interest well as I watched these two struggle with their attraction and emotions. There is plenty of turmoil as drama, secrets and lies cause obstacles in this highly entertaining read.
*WARNING* this book is for adult readers due to sexual content.
This is the 7th book in this series and the first one I have read. Even though I have only read this one, I don’t feel as though I’ve missed anything, so it can be read as a stand alone with no problem.
Gavin is the last available member of the band. Gavin as well as his brothers and bandmates are gargoyles. Gavin and his brothers your and play music, but they keep their true nature a secret. They even live on a hidden island.
Fiona is a reporter. Fiona watched her best friend did at the hands of something when she was a child. Since that event Fiona has investigated anything and everything supernatural to find out what killed her friend.
This is such a sweet story. There are lies and betrayal between Gavin and Fiona. There seems to be minimal trust do to past experiences. This story also has violence from anger and revenge.
This story shows both sides, it’s show the power of true love. It shows the the power of ignorance and anger.
Well written and edited. RECOMMENDED
KNIGHTS OF STONE: GAVIN is the seventh book in Lisa Carlisle’s Highland Gargoyles series, and features the playboy of the group. Everyone else has settled down with their mates, whilst Gavin still plays the field. That is until they play a gig in Inverness, and he meets Fiona. Even after three nights, he can’t get her out of his head.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series. I do so love a gargoyle, especially when you have witches and wolves in the mix too, not forgetting a pegasus!
For some reason, to me, this book felt a little bit flat compared to the others. I just didn’t connect with Gavin as much as I had hoped, and I have no idea why. It was just as brilliantly written, with a fast-paced and exciting story. I don’t know. I still have no hesitation in recommending this book and the series. I am sure this was a personal blip, rather than anything to do with the story.
If you enjoy gargoyles and rockstars, then I can highly recommend this book and the series.
Although his brothers have all fallen, Gavin still believes in the many. This is a good quick read with quite a bit of twist and turns. The author does provide world building and character development. There are quite a few books in this series but this can be read as a stand-alone. After reading this story I am looking forward to catching up on the previous books and hopefully looking forward to another one in the series.
I received a free copy of this book and submit my opinion for your review.
Gavin found his mate, but does not want to recognize the signs, but together with Fiona, a journalist and his mate, he tries to prevent the reality of the gargoyle band to come out, while a crazy scientist studying supernatural beings is on their tracks and tries to catch a gargoyle specimen.
Like all the others a nice blend of romance, mystery and adventure. Well-written and entertaining.

I love gargoyle romances and Ms. Carlisle never disappoints. Each of the books are part of a series but can easily be read out of order. Gavin is the bachelor of the band. His brothers have found their mates and he is not planning on finding his anytime soon. But fate always has a way of doing what she wants. Fiona is definitely a positive person and definitely can’t leave the unknown alone. Put the two together and some hotness will definitely occur.
There are five brothers that play in a rock band: Bryce, Lachlan, Mason, Gavin and Calum. They were all born on a small Scottish island in the Atlantic Ocean, the Isle of Stone. When they tour, they wear the traditional tartan kilts on stage. All of the brothers have found their mates except Gavin. He has no time for that. There are many lasses that need to be explored and much fun to be had being single.
However, one night in Inverness, Gavin found a lovely red-headed lass named Fiona. They had a wonderful three-day romance. Fiona asks many questions and is hiding something from him. She is human and Gavin knows he cannot trust humans with his secret. Fiona is a free-lance journalist. He should keep his distance.
After six weeks away, the Knights of Stone are back in Inverness. Gavin hopes he will see Fiona again. He has not seen or romanced another since the last time he saw her. Gavin is hiding a secret. He is a gargoyle shifter. Fiona has a secret too. She witnessed her best friend die at the hands of a supernatural. She wants to find out more and has been researching much of her life, as no one believed her story. With Fiona being a journalist, Gavin must be careful. He cannot stay away from Fiona, could she be his ‘one’?
There is a man that is pestering Fiona about the Knights of Stone. He wants information. Does he know something about them? Fiona could be in trouble. She may or may not be Gavin’s mate. How will Gavin protect her and her other little secret?
This book was a lot of fun. Great characters, full descriptions that bring you right into the story. Romance and a thrilling conclusion the Knights of Stone Books. I am sorry to see the stories end. Perhaps they can continue on in stories about the Isle of Stone? Read the series, these are great and interesting reads.
Why commit to one woman when so many lovely lassies come to their shows?
Gavin believes he doesn’t want love or a mate but he’s so wrong.

Book seven in the Highland Gargoyles series and this series just gets better with each new book. A well written story that grabbed my interest and did not let go until I was finished reading. I know when this series is finished I will be rereading all the books again. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Loved this story of Gavin, our Stone gargoyle and Fiona, a human Gavin can’t seem to get out of his mind. The characters are wonderful and I so want to read all the other stories in this series. This reads smoothly so you can get completely lost in the story. That is always the sign of a great author! You really don’t want to stop reading. I would definitely recommend to anyone who enjoys PNR!
