I never believed in love at first sight…Until the ATM ate my debit card,And Jackson Boudreaux stepped in to save the day.All business, in his nine to five banker suit–I couldn’t help but wonder of what he was hiding under that perfect form.I was leather and handcuffs. He was ties and cuff-links, But it didn’t matter that we were from two different worlds. Once we collided there was no going … worlds.
Once we collided there was no going back.
Neither of us were ready for love…
He came with baggage and drama not to mention a young son.
I avoided drama like the plague and avoided little kids even more.

4.5 Star review of Kat, Night Watch Badges (Iron Orchids #11) by Danielle Norman
I love this series about strong feisty women who are not afraid to put themselves out there. Kat and Jackson, could not be more different and yet somehow these two are well suited to one another.
Kat is a strong, sassy and feisty motorcycle deputy who avoids commitment, whilst Jackson is a single father to the oh so cute 4 year old Julien. He is also a bank manager, the total opposite to the leather wearing Kat.
I loved Kat and Jackson both individually but especially as a couple. I also fell hard and fast for little Julien and it was fun to watch Kat fall under his spell; who doesn’t like a storyline with a cute child? In fact I loved the relationship that developed between them
The chemistry between Kat and Jackson is intense as the attraction between them builds. Although the last thing Kat wants is to become involved with a single dad. There is also humour, heat, drama, suspense and was at times an emotional read as Ms. Norman delivers another well written and strong story.
Kat is your everyday girl living the single life, she is the middle sister of 5. She has no desire to fall in love, contrary to her mom always trying to play matchmaker and marry off all her girls.
Kat is minding her business until she happens to run into the Jackson, Sexiest Bank Manager on the planet. Little does she know, a one night stand which is her usually way to go, may not be enough with this one.
Kat is an officer of the law and can’t stand Drama, but she learns there is a heap of drama that comes along with Jackson. Problem is Jackson has no clue this drama is about to come his way or how it will escalate faster than any of them can imagine. Can they protect each other throughout this new relationship?
Read along with Kat and Jackson and see where their drama, one night stand and potential romance leads.
If you are looking for drama, sex, and action then this is a read for you.
This series, and these characters just get funnier, and more lively with each book. It’s hard not to like a group of badass women in a man’s world, but when you throw in cute as hell kids and batshit crazy exes, its hands down one of the best reads this year.
Having kept up with the Iron Orchards series (which includes the Iron Badges) I just knew Kat’s story was going to be a great one and Ms. Norman did not disappoint me. These ladies are something else. They are a force to be reckoned with on the job and a hoot off it. The books in this series are all so well written that I feel like I know these ladies and I’m just a part of the group.
Kat is a motorcycle police officer that takes her job as seriously as she does her single lifestyle. She has 4 sisters that keep her on her toes and of course her girl gang that keep her sane and often in trouble. She is very independent and despite her mother’s constant interference, he has no desire for a husband or kids. But when she meets her new neighbor, Jackson, she starts to maybe rethink things, well that is until she learns he is a single dad with a looney ex.
Kat, Knight Watch has suspense, romance and lots of laughs. Julien, Jackson’s precocious 4 year old son stole my heart while the storyline kept me in tears of laughter and tense with suspense. I can’t recommend this book enough. It’s a total must read in my humble opinion, as are all the books in the Iron Orchids/Iron Badges series.
2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars.
This book was brilliant. I absolutely devoured it. I laughed, I was on the edge of my seat wanting to know what happened next. There was a fair few twists and turns throughout the story but it was so amazingly written. I just couldn’t get enough. It was absolutely fantastic and I loved it so much.
I loved this one so much. Heck I love the whole Iron Orchids books and all the lovely ladies. But this is Kat’s book. She is fierce as a motorcycle cop. She is loyal to her ladies and her family. She is so strong and who would of though a single father would bring her to her knees. Jackson is a single father who is trying everything he can to protect his son from his ex wife. You will love the chemistry between Jackson and Kat. Even with the added drama he brings into her life you still will love them together. Even watching Kat change as she spends more time with Julien will just melt your heart. All the heart squeezes in this one. I love what Danielle Norman brings with all her books. I seriously can’t get enough and I love the little nod to her new books under the Stella Lang books. Go pick those up too. You will not be disappointed in anything that Danielle Norman brings to the table.
Like all of Danielle Norman’s books I absolutely loved this one. Her heroines are sexy, sassy, tough, and hilarious. As always this book, while it kept me laughing, was hot and steamy as well. The Iron Orchids series is a must read along with the Iron Badge series and Iron Horse series.
I have fallen completely in love with the cast of characters in the Iron Orchids series. Their sharp wit and humor, as well ad their banter back and forth makes them more real and relatable to me. I found myself laughing out loud more than once.
In true Danielle Norman fashion, this book has many layers. Aside from comedy, there’s drama from an ex, hot steamy goodness, and a touch of suspense. I couldn’t help falling for Julien either, just like Kat.
I have absolutely adored Danielle’s writing since her very first book was released. With each release her stories and her characters get better and better, and Kat and Jackson are no different
Kat is a feisty, independent, kickass motorcycle deputy, with a dislike of kids and commitment. Single Dad, Bank Manager Jackson seems to be her ultimate opposite. The sparks fly from the first moment they meet and when their paths cross again, they decide to head home together for a bit of fun, only the morning after brings trouble for Kat which seems like it could lead back to Jackson. When Kat meets Julien, Jackson’s adorable 4 year old son, it isn’t love at first site, however, as Kat refers to him, like a goitre, he grows on her, until she she falls so in love with him, she puts her own life on the line to protect him.
I loved the development of the relationship between these two, Kat’s reluctance, Jackson’s gentle persuasion and Julien’s little kid sweetness, reeling her in. As always, a great read, I can’t wait for the next one.
Kat and Jackson’s story is a good one, Kat is the County deputy that didn’t like kids, while Jackson is a single dad so you know you are in on an amazing story at this point, but let me assure you will never see all the twists and turns in this story coming until you are there. The characters are deep and amazing.
Another great book from Danielle. I loved the Badges and the Iron Ladies together in this book. Kat was a no nonsense cop and didn’t want anything to do with kids. But Julien slipped into her heart. When his crazy mother comes back all hell breaks loose. There’s lots of action, secrets and deception. There are alot of funny times as well. HEA.
Danielle Norman has again captivated with her characters and storylines. We know of Kat from the other “Badges” series but it if finally time for her Happily Ever After, but first Kat has to slay a few bad guys, win over a 4 year old and find the man of her dreams. Jackson is swoony and the perfect fit for Kat. So enjoyable.
Each book in this series is simply awesome. Each hero and heroine are fit for each other while being wonderfully imperfect (ya know … so you don’t hate them for being too perfect).
Danielle’s books have all the elements you want in a book … comedy, drama, smexy times, heartfelt emotion, the right amount of conflict, and of course the happy ending.
The heroines are strong women who don’t need saving or fixing and the heroes are alpha males who don’t need to be taken care of or their egos pampered. So what you get is two people who make their lives work together … they take care of each other, they save each other, and they help each other fix what they want to fix. So basically … relationship goals 🙂
I am, as always, eagerly awaiting the next book in this fabulous series. If you haven’t picked up any of these books do so … they do NOT have to be read in any particular order but I do recommend reading from the beginning for the fullest picture of all the characters.
Damsel in distress? No way! Norman continues to flip the switch and create a new type of heroine. Kat is bad to the bone with the heart to back it up. Kat finds herself thrown off her game when she meets her match in her total opposite. Jackson is business suits. She’s bad *** and leather. Will falling in love change the fighter she was always meant to be? Kat: Knight Watch is a fearless walk on the wild side. From sexy and sassy to emotionally, unpredictable. Kat and Ty bring the heat and the sweet.
Once I started I couldn’t put it down!
Highly recommend!!
As always with Danielle Norman’s books, this is a definite must read. I have read every book Danielle has written and I can tell you each time she makes it difficult to decide which one is my favorite. I absolutely loved Kat and Jackson’s story. So much action, love and humor into this one little story. Danielle Norman does not disappoint
Wow, wow, wow.
I really don’t understand how Danielle Norman can consistently write books with amazing characters who feel like real people.
Kat Lappis is on the motors squad with other members of the Iron Orchids. Kat is also a member of another large Greek family, this time with all-girl siblings, unlike our lovable Christakos family (Books 1-6).
Jackson Boudreaux is a smooth-talking, suit-wearing, born and bred Louisiana man. Jackson and his son, Julien, moved in two doors down from Kat’s sisters’ house.
Kat and Jackson first meet by chance at Jackson’s work. Lucky for them, they run into one another at Sixes Bar and Grill later that night. Kat and Jackson’s immediate attraction heats up and just doesn’t quit. Like all of the other Iron Orchids, Kat has to fight just as hard to get her happily ever after.
Another well written, entertaining, fast moving Iron Orchids Badges book. Kat is Greek, the middle sister of five and a motorcycle deputy. Jackson is Cajun, a bank manager, new to town and has lots of baggage. Kat decides she wants a one night stand with Jackson. She doesn’t do relationships or want children. Jackson doesn’t want a relationship either, but one night just isn’t enough.
Friends, family, Mothers, sisters, a precocious child and a crazy ex,this book has it all.
Another amazing book! Kat was having a bad day until she met Jackson the new bank manager after the ATM ate her card. She ran into him again when she went out with her friends and decided one night would be great. She finds out the next day that Jackson and his son Julien live just a couple houses down from her and her sisters. Weird things begin to happen to Kat and her family. She finds out the reason Jackson and Julien moved was because of not only a promotion but also Jackson’s crazy exwife. Kat hates drama and has to decide are Jackson and Julien worth the drama that is now unfolding in her life. You have to read this book to see the crazy things that seem to unfold.
