Sometimes the most beautiful souls are the most broken.Protect.From the minute I met her, I wanted to offer my protection.Desire.I wanted her to be mine, but didn’t have anything of value to offer. Just my jaded heart, broken soul, and undying love.Sacrifice.I gave up my pride, my hostility, and my heart to make her happy. I would’ve given up anything, even my life, to keep her safe.Everyone … tried to warn me that he was dead inside.I didn’t listen.Everyone said he was bad, violent, and would drag me down. They were wrong. I LOVE LOVE L-O-V-E!!!!! ALL of the LOKI books. Autumn has a way of really making you feel like you know these characters. (And her since apparently I’m on a first name basis) I love that these guys are tough but have such big hearts. A great series to escape to!
I loved this book.
New kid in school, she befriends him, they have both had misery in their lives
and now find happiness with each other
Hope we get to learn more about Roman and Juliet In future releases
This is a wonderful story of young love that finally does go right. Autumn brings two people that are in need of love together and they find it together.
Roman has grown up in foster care and has never been given anything help make a better life. When he meets Juliet he finally finds his kindred spirit.
Juliet has not had an easy life either. Her parents are gone and she lives with her aunt and uncle, neither really want her. So she does well in school and hopes to go to college. But when Roman enters the picture he is just something that brightens her day.
These two deserve love and in the end, they find it together. Great story and a must read!
4 Cranky Stars
Roman and Juliet are both tortured souls with a lot of baggage. Luck doesn’t come easily to them, until they happen to meet each other at school. They develop an instant chemistry, and the story is about the constant obstacles they face to be with each other. Throughout the story, you see both Roman and Juliet grow as individuals, and as a couple. It is beautiful, although sometimes difficult, to read.
I loved how persistent and resilient both Roman and Juliet were. They were very inspiring, and I think the author did a great job of showing how people can do better for themselves despite their circumstances.
This story is a standalone, but it’s connected to the Lost Kings MC series by this author. I don’t really feel like I missed out on anything by not having read the Lost Kings MC series before this. However, there were a few names of characters that I am sure were in that series that were just mentioned in Knight of Swords, and that made me intrigued. Looks like I have a new series to read!!
This story is heartbreakingly tragic. Where do I begin- Roman is growing up in the foster care system having been shuffled through homes finally landing in a group home that is zoned for Juliet’s school district. Juliet has her own set of problems being raised by her aunt and uncle after the death of her mother. Roman is a product of his upbringing, he doesn’t form attachments to people but that’s not the case with Juliet and to a certain extent PIP. He wants to protect them both PIP because he is his roommate at the group home and constantly gets picked on and Juliet because it is love at first sight for Roman. The chemistry between Roman and Juliet is intense. This book is filled with drama, angst, heartbreak and eventually the life altering love that this author is known for. I can’t wait for the next installment of Lost Kings MC because this is a prequel to that series.
Oh I loved Roman and Juliet’s story! We got a peek at them in After Burn and they had me intrigued. Getting to read about how they came to be together and friends with the Club was both thrilling and heartbreaking. They had such hard lives but were able to find each other in the midst of it all. They were both such good people who got dealt a crappy hand in life but were able to retain their kind and loving souls and move forward positively in life. This was such a beautiful and emotional story and I hope we see more of them in the future.
