My job as a SEAL has always been to go in and save the day.But even heroes fall. Even heroes make mistakes. My only saving grace was Gin Sullivan. My knock out best friend who wasn’t afraid to tell me the truth even when it hurt. She’d pick me up when I was wallowing in my own stupidity. It wasn’t hard for me to fall for her.Any man would. She was beautiful. She was smart. She was everything I’d ever … beautiful.
She was smart.
She was everything I’d ever wanted.
I had plans to tell her that, squash the pinning we’d both done for two years.
But a bullet to the gut silenced me and Gin got tired of waiting.
Now I have a new mission, one that I can’t fail:
Do whatever it takes to make Gin mine forever.
Other books in the standalone Nailed Down Series:
Nailed Down – Book 1
Tied Down – Book 2
Kneel Down – Book 3

Rating: 4.5 Stars
Gin Sullivan knows how to handle herself and she knows what she wants. Dale Hunter looks for the answer to his trouble on the inside of a bottle. I know that this was listed as a standalone but you may find yourself wondering about some of the secondary characters that you meet. And especially after you find out about their current profession. The good news there are only two previous books if you need to catch up.
I know she doesn’t mean to but Gin seems to know just the right thing to poke the beast. Then our authors created another beast poker. After all, the beast needed a little incentive. That just may be your page-turner moment. Mine came it little bit before that especially because Dale seems to be totally oblivious to what is staring at him in the face.
I continue to love how these authors write together. You cannot tell, or at least I can’t, which author writes what. This makes everything run smoothly. It also makes it hard to take my eyes off the page. They also stayed true to the characters because they created the perfect ending for our couple. Then I did a happy dance because we’ve got a book four coming – can’t wait.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Kneel Down is an entertaining read with wonderful characters and a great storyline. I will admit that I have not read the previous two books in this series, but I had absolutely no trouble following along. In fact, I loved the secondary characters (Kiel, Kit, Cara, Kane) so much that I downloaded the other 2 books so that I could have their stories!
What is not to love about Dale as he is a sexy Navy SEAL, loyal, loving, and protective of those he loves. He was burned pretty bad by his horrible ex-wife and his best friend, Gin, was there to support him and pick up the pieces. Gin is a caring friend but she wants more. The two of them have great chemistry, but they really needed to pull their heads out of their behinds! I wanted to shake both of them at times – basically lock them in a room together and tell them to stop being so stubborn. Gin and Dale start off as best friends and I do love a good friends-to-lovers books, but Kneel Down is also about second chances. I love that this book illustrates how lack of communication or misconstrued conversations can greatly affect a relationship. It also shows that actions can be louder than words, but sometimes those words do need to be spoken. Overall, I enjoyed Kneel Down as it had a great storyline that moved at a good pace as well as likable and well-developed characters. I am definitely looking forward to the next book in the series. I received this book for free.
If you are looking for a book that will keep you on the edge of your seat, raise your temperature and make you swoon, you have found it. The story will pull you in and the characters are easy to connect with. I loved Dale and Gin. I thought that they had amazing chemistry and that their attraction was intense. Of course there was drama and angst as these two struggled to move from friends to lovers. Plenty of emotional turmoil ensues in the process as does some steamy scenes. A simply wonderful read.
Kneel Down is book three in the Nailed Down series and to date it’s my favorite book so far. I’ve been anxiously waiting on Dale and Gin’s story and it exceeded my expectations. These friends to lovers have been dancing around each other for a while, they certainly didn’t make it easy on one another and they really put me through an emotional wringer. Dale and Gin are great characters who are so easy to love with their on point chemistry and excellent character development.
This book has the perfect combination of angst, romance and scorching sexy times with an entertaining and well written storyline. Although Kneel Down can be read as a stand-alone, I recommend reading Nailed Down and Tied Down as they are just as good and definitely worth it. I can’t wait to read Johnny’s book!!
Nailed down series
So, first up I need to say I haven’t read the first two books in this series, but after starting this series I quickly went and purchased them so I could know more about the other characters! Suffice to say I still got a really good feel for what was going on with a small bit of confusion in the beginning but I twigged on quickly. That said, I would recommend starting from the beginning but I ran out of time to read those two before my review was due….
That said I really liked this story as it was all about second chances and communicating when in a relationship and how things can be misconstrued when this doesn’t happen. Gin and Dale certainly have their work cut out for them. As most things in life that are worth it, are worth fighting for
Just a quick thank you to Chelle for my advanced copy for which I leave my honest reviewI look forward to the next book in their series…no hints as to who it is
Dale and Gin story is one for the ages. She has always been there for him and he has put others before her. They get together and he can’t remember and now Dale has to fight for what he wants. Gin has decided that second best is not good enough for her. The chemistry between these to is smoking, Great addition to series.
Kneel Down is the third book in the series and it’s Dale and Gin’s story. I really liked it. I loved Dale and Gin. They had scorching chemistry! Can’t wait to read Johnny’s book!
4.5 Stars for Kneel Down book 3 in The Nailed Down Series and once again another great read from the talented duo of Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler.
This is a very emotional read right from the first chapter through to the final page, it’s a story about a couple who are truly meant to be together and if they can not accept that life would be a whole lot easier for Dale Hunter and Gn Sullivan.
Gin has been Dale’s best friend for what feels like forever, he has always been off limits because he was married so being his best friend was the best Gin could hope for until his wife left him and Gin was left to help Dale pick up the pieces……
This book has all the feels you expect in a great read, it’s also impossible to tell which author wrote what so that in itself is a tribute to great writing. This is a love story with plenty of twists and turns, trust and communication issues don’t help when it comes to Dale and Gin’s relationship but when it comes to the crunch Dale steps up and does what is needed to win back the woman he really loves.
Characters with depth and sizzling chemistry help to make this a book you won’t be able to put down. Looking forward to what’s next from this duo.
As a fan of the first two books in this series I enjoyed reading the story about Dale and Gin. Love how they met and since Dale is married Gin will not act on her feeling for him they develope a friendship. The story line drew me to find out what is going on between the two and wanting to find out what happens and I love how it ends! I recommend this book!!!!!
Chelle and Eden did it again! I absolutely loved Dale and Gin. I couldn’t put “Kneel Down” down. Hurry up and read the 1st 2 books in this series bc book 3 AMAZING
Really Good Story. Really Great Series.
Dale and Gin! Geez, their romance is as tough as they are. Best Friends to Lovers to estranged friends to enemies to acquaintances to sweethearts to TRUE LOVE. The emotional uncertainty this story delivers had me glued to my kindle.
I never knew what was coming next, I know Dale and Gin have feelings for one another but a lot of obstacles keep getting in their way. One minute I was like “YESS Finally” then it quickly became “NOOoooooo”. Kneel Down was angsty but it was also funny heartwarming and swoon-worthy.
Love the pace of the story. Love the unique setting. Love the continuous background stories that leave me so intrigued by the other characters that I am left dying for their book.
Love Chelle Bliss and Eden Butler’s collaboration.
Kneel Down is another perfect friends to lovers romance story!
I loved both Dale and Gin and desperately wanted them to finally find their happily ever after, but boy they just frustrated me so much as they danced around the attraction they felt for each other. They both wanted more and stepping over that line was risky, but admitting how they really felt and committing to those feelings was even a greater risk. Gin wanted Dale to utter those three words that he just couldn’t say. She needed to take his actions more into consideration because he was saying those words by how he cared for her.
I have been patiently waiting for Dale and Gin’s story since I saw things happening between them in Nailed Down and Tied Down. Kneel Down is a friends to lovers story. Dale and Gin are two strong and stubborn people, who hit a few roadblocks, but find their love is strong and get their happy ending. The chemistry between these two lead to some hot sex scenes that caused me to blush in public. These two also put me through the emotional wringer and I was happy to see them finally get their HEA. For me, this book was an enjoyable read. I like coming back to this world of characters.
Now, I want Johnny’s story.
Another amazing read by these two great authors. Soooo many misunderstandings, so many words left unsaid, if only Dale and Gin would of listened to the actions words didn’t need. Best friends but they both want more, both have been there for each other thru good times and bad, until they weren’t anymore. I loved these two, but holy at times I wanted to scream at them, and that there is when u know u are reading a good book.
Chelle and Eden have another best seller. I love Dale! I love this series and the storyline! Dales loyalty to family and friends is admirable. His and Gins relationship is fun and intense.
Could have been better, not what I expected for this type of book.
These two drove me crazy, Dale and Gin were best friends and knew each better than anyone else. But when it came to them having a relationship they didn’t communicate and each had a hard time trusting and opening up about their feelings. The attraction between them was so hot you could feel the heat coming off the pages. I did enjoy this story and loved watching them overcome their hang ups.
Gin & Dale have chemistry from the start but things just keep getting in the way., being best friends, the other is married but thru it all they stand beside each other. Plenty of angst to where I had to stop put the kindle and promise myself no throwing, they will work this out. These two authors know how to bring just the right amount of emotions off the page to pull the reader in. Can’t wait to see what is next in this series
Really enjoyed Dale and Gin’s book. While there were times I wanted to jump into the book and knock some sense into both of them, I knew they would finally work everything out.
There were times I was frustrated that Gin moved away like she did without completely hearing Dale out, I could totally understand why she left. She needed words from Dale and he was just too messed up from how he was treated by his ex to be able to vocalize how he was feeling. Which also frustrated me but was understandable as well.
And it is always fun to see the characters from the previous books in the series make an appearance. Dale and Gin definitely had to work hard for their happily ever after.
This is the 3rd book in the series. You can read each as a stand alone. I have read the other 2 in the series. Yes, the characters are explained, who’s who. However, this book, goes into the characters, Gin & Dale. Gin & Dale started off as friends, then best friends. Dale was married, and Gin knew he was off limits.
Dale, was a USMC SEAL, he is now a handyman on a production show. Dale tries to protect those he cares about. Dale has one sister and one brother. His brother is a druggy who can’t seem to get rid of his addiction. Dale is done with him, and has said that so many times. But will he finally kick him to the curb, or will he be able to finally get his brother some help and get him clean?
Gin, she works along side Dale on the production set. They have had a great relationship being friends and getting to know one another.
Things started heating up between Gin & Dale. But, as soon as it starts they stop. Dale was getting phone text messages from his ex, Trudy, and Gin though they still might be together. However, she never gave Dale the chance to explain t messages or what was actually going on. Gin can’t not trusting Dale. She doesn’t seem to know who to trust.
Gin gets involved with Johnny, only professionally, and he is actually involved with the Mafia MOB. Johnny has a TV crew starting up a new show in NYC. Gin thinks moving across country to get Dale out of her system is what she wants. Dale knows that Johnny is bad news and tries to rescue Gin, but, he knows better. Gin can handle herself, Dale just wants to step in and be the Alpha male.
I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest review.
