My job as a SEAL has always been to go in and save the day.But even heroes fall. Even heroes make mistakes. My only saving grace was Gin Sullivan. My knock out best friend who wasn’t afraid to tell me the truth even when it hurt. She’d pick me up when I was wallowing in my own stupidity. It wasn’t hard for me to fall for her.Any man would. She was beautiful. She was smart. She was everything I’d ever … beautiful.
She was smart.
She was everything I’d ever wanted.
I had plans to tell her that, squash the pinning we’d both done for two years.
But a bullet to the gut silenced me and Gin got tired of waiting.
Now I have a new mission, one that I can’t fail:
Do whatever it takes to make Gin mine forever.

This was a good read and the back and forth between Gin and Dale will have you loving and hating it all at the same time. I loved Gin and her attitude. And just the sexy bad boy of Dale. The misscommunication did get to be a bit much at times and frustrated me however the attraction between the two made for a good story. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series!
I have been waiting on Dale and Gin’s story and Keel Down did not disappoint!!!! They have been best friends that has smoking hot chemistry together. But alot of mistakes and misunderstandings almost cost them their happy ending!!! Can’t wait for more from the Nailed Down Series!!!
Holy hotness! I loved Dale and Gin’s story!!! It’s an emotional roller coaster ride from the the very first page!!! This is an intense, emotional, guilt ridden, lusty, drama filled story with plenty of misunderstandings, miscommunications, tons of snark and come to Jesus moments that captured my heart! You will want to smack them both at times, but the chemistry they have can’t be denied. It’s SOOO GOOOD!!!
Since I did read the others I was most anxious to get into this one. I also think this one is the best one so far for me. It shows how a man can come around and take it by the horns as they say and go whole hearted into something even knowing and admitting a screw up. Something hard for a man to take responsibility especially now a days but then Seals have a special core too. Dale will also steal our hearts even as his is given to Gin lol. The author can make the emotions and life come to the front and live in this one that you forget you are in the book. That is what I look for in a novel that escape but separateness. As part of the series name goes she did nail this one.
Wow, what a great book. Kneel Down is a smoking hot, suspenseful read which had me gripped from the first to the last chapter.
Kneel Down certainly wrung emotions out of me as I was reading and you could tell that Dale and Gin truly were meant to be together.
I fell for Dale right from the start, he was everything that I could imagine wanting and needing in my life and so much more. His protective alpha tendencies made him a swoon worthy hero. I loved the friendship that he and Gin had and it was gratifying to sees it develop in to so much more.
There is so much misunderstanding between Dale and Gin about their feelings for one another that it almost leapt of the pages. The chemistry between Dale and Gin is scorching and intense.
These two authors obviously work well together as I was unable to determine where one author ended and the other picked up; a sign of a great collaboration .
I loved Dale and Gin’s story so much. The chemistry between these two us off the charts and you can feel the tension between them whenever they are near. I’m excited for what’s next in this series.
4.5* Gin has been waiting forever for Dale to see her more than just a best friend. When he needs a friend more than ever, she’s there for him. When they finally get a chance, it’s not what she’s expecting it be.
This book made me want to smack an ex-wife, tell Dale what I was REALLY feeling and rooting for these two. I could feel the chemistry between these two. I was cheering for them. I loved the way the book flowed and Gin was no push over which I absolutely love!!!
Great book to the series!!!
I think Dale’s woman likes to purposely drive him mad at times, “…lay on his bed in nothing but my black lace bra and matching thong. “Oh, you’re effing killing me with this.” I liked this book, I loved Dale the man was fierce and protective
4 stars
Book three in the Nailed Down series and Chelle and Eden did not disappoint!
The story flowed and Dale and Gin were perfect. Once I started I couldn’t stop. I’ve absolutely loved this series and can’t wait for more. Chelle and Eden get writing, I speak for all when I say we need more!
These two talented authors know how to write an incredible series. They are both talented on their own but the two of them together are a complete power house. They writing flows together effortlessly and their characters have great depth and are easy to conntect with. I loved the plot of this story and the amount of angst was perfection. I also enjoyed seeing the other characters intertwined with each book in the series and how connected they are with eachother. I can’t wait for the next book to see where they plan to take us.
Dale and Gin are a passionate couple whose friendship turned into something more. Gin was always there for Dale when he needed her and she knew in her heart that he was the one for her. Gin has a hard time trusting anyone and I feel she never really gave Dale a chance to profess his feelings to her. She would rather runaway then sit quietly and listen to him. She seemed to only think of herself and not about how her behavior had affected Dale. When it comes to relationships love, trust and communication are what Gin needs to know that she is with the right person.
Dale is a former Navy Seal who is brave, serious and level headed but when it came to Gin, he had no idea what he was doing. I felt bad for him every time he tried to talk to her about his feelings because he just couldn’t do it, even though in his heart he knew how he felt. Dale trusts Gin with his life and their friendship means everything to him but he definitely needs to man up and find the words necessary to win her heart. He cannot be closed up and silent with Gin because if he waits too long, someone else could take his place and he will lose her forever. Dale will follow Gin anywhere to win her back because she is his life and his forever.
Kneel Down by Chelle Bliss & Eden Butler is book Three in the Nailed Down Series. This is the story of Dale Hunter and Gin Sullivan. I have not yet read the previous books, so for me this was a standalone book.
Gin and Dale were best friends but Gin always had more feelings than that for Dale. But never crossed the line. When Dale’s wife left him, Gin stood by his side. Of course Dale is not wanting to jump into anything since he had a bad experience already. But the more time he is with Gin he is starting to feel more for her than friendship. But things of course don’t run smoothly for them.
I am a fan of Ms. Bliss’s writing so this was a great read for me. This is the first book I have read by Eden Butler, but will look for more books by her.
4 1/2 stars. When these two authors team up they make magic together. This is an awesome series and Kneel Down is such a great addition to it. I love a good friends to lovers story and Dale and Gin’s story is just so good. Of course they do not take the easy path to a HEA and my emotions were all over the place, but luckily they do finally get on the right path. These two have chemistry for days, but they also have some serious miscommunications that do not make things easy. I love Dale! He is such a complex man but the one thing he knows is that he does not want to lose his best friend Gin. He has much to do to make sure she knows how he really feels and how much she means to him. Gin is such a strong character, I really like her. She has no intentions of ever being with someone who cannot be honest with her and honest about his feelings.
Great characters, great story! Can’t wait for Johnny’s story next.
Dale and Gin have been friends forever. These two have been through so much together. Then one night changes everything between them. Dale regrets everything that happened and wont give up on Gin.But Gin doesn’t fall back into Dale so easily. I loved these two together. Right from the beginning you can easily see the chemistry between these two. I love Chelle books and this one is amazing with Eden involved. Highly recommend.
WOW!!! What a great read!!! This one had me all over the place. I could have swore these two were never going to get their crap together! Dale and Gin just couldn’t seem to find their happy place for the life of them!
I guess you could call this a best friends to not quite enemies to lovers and take it around again book. But I loved it!!! And I loved Dale’s commitment to the people that matter to him, no matter what they have put him through. He’s somewhat broken and gun shy but when push comes to shove he’ll be there when he’s needed the most. And Gin, tough as nails with a heart of gold! But oh my, she can be stubborn as all get out!
I’m so happy these two were finally able to pull their heads out of their respective behinds and listen to each other!!! Fantastic book!!!

I’ve read this series from the beginning, so I was not unfamiliar with our leads, Gin and Wade. Their chemistry was already shown to me in previous books, so for me, their actual journey needed to be *unique and spectacular* to keep my interest …. The book didn’t fail, but I wasn’t wow’d.
I’ve thought about this for a couple of days and at first I thought it was because of where *I* was emotionally in life (obviously I am not in the best place at the moment, which is why I mention it) and I honestly couldn’t tell you if it is or not, I just know that for me the story just *happened* …. It just didn’t nothing for me but at the same time, I recognize that these authors do good work. The previous books in this series tell me that. SO, maybe it’s me *shrug* no clue. The one thing I can say for sure about the plot is that, in my opinion, at least 50% of the back-n-forth/should I shouldn’t I/push-pull I could have done without. I’m not saying it wasn’t necessary for *this* story-line, but it read way too much like *young love* and it took up way too many pages.
Sweet baby Jesus!! Nothing prepared me for the whirlwind that is Dale and Gin! This book had my emotions thrown all over the place as Dale tried, unsuccessfully to put into words what Gin means to him….and as Gin battled with the rejection she felt from Dale. Jesus, I wanted to give them both a shake!! Throw in well meaning friends, a pain in the @$$ ex-wife and a hot mafia boss…….what a fantastic read!!!
Dale and Gin have been friends for quite a while even though Gin does have romantic feelings for Dale since she first met him. Dale has admire Gin since he first met her at a bar and watched while she beat up some drunk guys. Gin was there for Dale through his marriage, had to tell him his wife was cheating on him, and been there when he was going through his divorce and taken care of him during all his rough times.
While on a stake out trying to help protect their friends, something happened between the 2 of them and it seems like Dale was going to finally admit his feelings for Gin only to get shot and not remember anything that happened prior to getting shot after he got out of surgery! Gin was not aware that Dale had lost his memory so she thought Dale was backtracking on what happened before he got shot and she finally had enough so she left the state to get away from him and start a new life.
Dale couldn’t figure out why Gin was mad at him and why she left. There was a lot of second guessing and self doubt going on here and when Dale finally gets Gin, another drama happened that made Gin distrust him. It seems like these 2 just couldn’t communicate with each other and you just want to yell at both of them to just spit out what they have to say! It took a while but they finally track each other down and explain themselves. It’s a great friends to lover story even though so much could have been resolved and be a little less frustrating if they could actually verbalize what they want to each other sooner!
Knowing he would see Gin at the wedding party reception, he was surprised she looked so different and she wasn’t alone. Finally, able to see her by herself he knows what he did wrong, but it was the anaesthetic from the surgery and he needs to explain.
Gin wanted to hate Dale and agreed to meet him, he lets her know he missed her and everything is wrong without her there, then she grabs his phone that keeps ringing and she’s his ex-wife’s name and knows she’s still around and she’s done with Dale.
Dale knows that he’s time is running out and with their last conversation, him kissing her and her storming away, he knows he that if he doesn’t do something, she’ll end up with someone else. He didn’t fight for her before, but he didn’t get to explain he lost his memory and he lost her, but he’s going to fight for her now, but will she walk away again or give him a chance.
Kneel Down is everything bit the hot and suspense you can ever need in a book! Wow! These ladies had me so fixated in the story I just had to sit down and not stop till I was fully done with it. By that point, I was in love with Dale my heart just skipped a beat!
