Nefertiti has forced Naomi to flee Amarna with Malachi and the three children. But even under the protection of Naomi’s family in Thebes, Nefertiti still hunts her and Tut. Nefertiti sends assassins to kill them, and while Naomi fights to protect the children, Malachi fights to keep her safe. With three children in tow, one of which isn’t her own, she is labeled the harlot outcast wife of the … pharaoh and is shunned. She isn’t safe among her own people, and flees from being stoned to death. Although her family protects her, she must find a way to survive. While Naomi struggles to keep herself and Tut alive, old adversaries return as Smenkhkare takes advantage of Akhenaten’s ailing health. Naomi must rely on Horemheb’s promise to protect Tut’s birthright, but her feelings for Malachi could cause more problems with Horemheb than she expects.

cleverly written to give a personal slant to the rise and death of Tut. Enjoyed all 3 of the series
Excellent read. Makes you ponder what life was really like back then
Good insight into a time in history little explored in modern novels.
I thought this was a continuation of Kiya’s story from the same author. Although based in Egypt, it is not a continuation. I stopped reading upon learning that.
Very interesting. Made me want to learn more about that era.
Gives a little insite into Egypt/Pharoah and God’s people.
I enjoyed the book and it was informative of that time in history.
Author did her research about the time frame. it matched fairly well what i had learned in my classes on ancient civilizations
Excellent historical fiction taking reader into the lives of the Jewish people as they escape from Egypt. Demonstrates God’s power and love of His people, gentile and Jew.
If you read one book…. you’re going to have to read all three!
Just warning you!

Great combination of history and fiction. An enjoyable read.
Entertaining, imaginative view of life in ancient Egypt. Highlights how biases and discrimination present then are still present today.
