It’s been so fun reading through this series!
I’m not gonna lie, this book basically solidified all of my fears if ever meeting or getting to know my teen heartthrob. Yuck.
Now I need to next book to remove the ugly taste this character left behind.
Kitty Valentine Dates a Rockstar (Kitty Valentine, #3) was a great read by Jillian Dodd. After Kitty’s relationship with the doctor ended, she knows that she must date someone else to help her write her next book. With her best friends help, she must find a rockstar to date. She meets Dustin, a musician from the band, ‘Crazy 4U’. Things get rocky a few dates in but they both keep trying. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more by Jillian Dodd.
Kitty does it again! This time she lives every girl’s dream come true! And comes out with her heart intact & better for the experience! Hello hot teenage celeb crush! But through it all, Kitty stayed true to herself. I’m really enjoying learning more of the dynamic between Kitty and her Grandmom. And the hot neighbor keeps life spicy!! Through it all, she can always depend on her best friend! I can’t wait to see what’s up next for Kitty’s adventures!
I keep loving this series more and more. Although this was not my favorite hero, so far, I still enjoyed this as much as the rest. It was so much fun and I am dying to see who she is with next and how everything ends for Kitty. Jillian definitely has me hooked with this series.
I am loving this series so much! Kitty and all her escapades keep me laughing. I love her neighbor Matt and really hope he’s who she ends up with. In this story Kitty dates a rock star who also happens to be her childhood crush. I was not a fan of him at all. I kept thinking he would some how redeem himself but he didn’t. Kitty can do so much better but her time with Dustin will help with her book.
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I’ve really been enjoying this new series by Jillian Dodd! It’s a great summer read. I could not put this one down. Unlike the last book, I just could not figure out this boy and I needed to know how it would shake out! I love that we get a little more of Matt and Kitty’s growing friendship with each book. We’re also getting to see Kitty come into her own more and more with each book. I’m obsessed with her grandma, she reminds me a little bit of my own. The rock star was infuriating but dating a rock star is still such a fantasy. I can’t wait for the next book!
I absolutely love Kitty’s adventures. Who doesn’t want to date a rockstar. Intriguing and loved every second. Can’t wait to read the next adventure.
I think we have all dreamed of what it would be like to date our favorite boy band member. Kitty gives us the opportunity to see what it would be like and it does not disappoint. I love that this book shows that sometimes the fantasy is better then reality and does not make everything end up perfect. I can’t wait to read Kitty’s new adventure.
What would you do if you could meet your middle or high school idol? Well, you get to see what Kitty does when she meets hers. What could go wrong? I mean this IS Kitty we are talking about here. By now everyone should know everything doesn’t go as planned for her. What would be the fun in that? That one scene with Matt made the book. Matt is my latest book boyfriend.
Such a good book! I absolutely love this series and all of the different “trope” stories. This book was definitely different than all of the others and it really made me appreciate Kitty’s strong personality and how she can stick up for herself. It’s a fun read, but it will definitely still put at your heart strings. I love this series and I do not want it to end, but I cannot wait for Kitty to *hopefully* get the love she has been waiting for.
Stephannie’s 5 Star Review:
Kitty Valentine is at it again. The wheel is spinned and now she must find and date a rock star for her next book. The rock star she ends up dating is her boy band crush Dustin Grant. He is trying to make a comeback. Will her crush live up to reality? I really love this fun loving story and enjoy Kitty’s adventure into discovering herself. With each spin of the wheel, we see Kitty grow as a person and really find out what she doesn’t want in a man. Each guy she goes in knowing it’s supposed to be casual but she always puts her heart out there. It is what I love about her and I truly want her to find the guy for her and be confident enough that she doesn’t need to spin a wheel to write a bestseller anymore. I’m excited to read her next adventure in dating a firefighter. I mean how hot is that! But if I am quite honest, I want more of her building friendship with her neighbor Matt.
Jillian Dodd is an amazing author and can write so many types of books that you fall in love with. She is a must read author for me! If she writes a book, I am dying to read it and every single time, I am in love with the characters and the story. One click this one today! But if you haven’t checked out a Jillian Dodd book, Don’t wait, get reading..

It’s time for Kitty Valentine to spin the wheel again and this time she lands on rockstar. Who gets lucky enough to go out with the crush of the boy band rockstar that you used to have a crush on. However as amazing as this rockstar might be you can’t help but continue to see the chemistry between Kitty and her friendly hot neighbor Matt. Really want Kitty and Matt to be together. Ready for book four.
This series is such a fun read! I love getting to experience Kitty’s growth and see her stand up for herself and her principles. This was just how I imagine dating a rock star would be in real life. I can’t wait to see what new experiences and how far out of her comfort zone she gets into next!
I love how much Kitty has grown in this book. In the first book she was in a shell and very naive. After each book we have seen her come out of the shell a little bit more. But this book she finally has a back bone. She has her standards and doesn’t stray from them. She finally stands up for herself when she isn’t treated right. Some crazy things have happened to her and mostly she has just sweeper them under the rug. But not this book. I am liking her more and more. And I am secretly rooting for Matt
Kitty grew some claws and I.AM.HERE.FOR.IT.
This book had a bit of a different vibe but I really liked it. Kitty stood up for herself more and I was so proud of her!
I like the rockstar making a comeback idea because who didn’t dream about having a rockstar fall in love with them when they were younger? Kitty’s experience with her rockstar is quite the ride though. I was happy with how it turned out, I think it made Kitty a stronger person and I really am loving her growth throughout the books.
Can I say though, I am team Matt 100% and I hope there is a “Kitty Valentine Dates Her Hot Neighbor” and they just fall in love. Here’s to hoping.
“Kitty Valentine Dates a Rockstar” by Jillian Dodd was just as cute and laugh-out-loud funny as the previous installments of this series have been, and I loved it. Kitty is a wonderful lead character: sweet, endearingly quirky, and a little clumsy at times, but so much braver than she thinks she is. She puts herself out there time and time again even though it’s not easy for her to do, and she knows she might get hurt because casual relationships really aren’t her thing. She seemed to do a bit better in terms of forming an emotional attachment to the subject of her dating research this time around, but unfortunately, she still managed to get hurt for different reasons.
Kitty’s best friend, the snarky yet supportive Hayley, was just as much fun as usual, and I love that she’s as much a sister to Kitty as a friend. I enjoyed seeing Hayley get a little flustered while meeting Kitty’s romantic interest, former boy band member Dustin Grant. Hayley is normally so cool and collected, especially when compared to Kitty, but meeting Dustin turned her into a gushing, giggling fan girl, which made me laugh. It’s nice to know that Hayley isn’t quite as perfect as she sometimes seems! I find her to be a bit more human and relatable now, and I like her character even more than I did before.
Kitty’s neighbor and frenemy Matt was also back in this installment, and I have to comment again on how much I love his and Kitty’s banter. I really hope that the two of them end up together in the end. Watching them dance around each other through all of these books while Kitty dates other men for “research” is kind of like the ultimate slow burn relationship building, and I am here for it!
Overall, “Kitty Valentine Dates a Rockstar” was a tremendous amount of fun and I am very much looking forward to Kitty’s next adventure. I highly recommend this series for all fans of chick lit and romantic comedy.

Spinning the wheels of dates should be fun. It has been fun. When Kitty lands on a Rock Star, she gets to meet her high school crush. Kitty Valentine Dates a Rock Star is different from the rest of the series. We see a different side of Kitty, for the good. Sometimes we need to remember it’s not all sunshine and roses while dating. This book definitely proves that!

Y’all, im not lying when I tell y’all this is one of my favorite series. Jillian Dodd has done such an amazing job creating the Kitty Valentine world and each book gets better! She has the perfect balance of comedy mixed with romance and Kitty Valentine is such a spunky, no-nonsense heroine!
Definitely a 5 read for me!
Who doesn’t want to date a Rock Star, right? Another fun installment in the Kitty Valentine series. Kitty’s witty and fun and is really getting into these different tropes. I can’t wait to see what’s next for Kitty!
This one was fun even if the rock star ended up being a pretty despicable character. But it brought out a new Kitty that I loved seeing. Kitty with a backbone was really fun to read. And I really loved that she was nicer to Matt this time around. And Kitty’s grandmother may just be my favorite out of all the characters in these books. She is a breath of fresh air with her no nonsense attitude. I can’t wait to see what adventure Jillian takes us on next!
