Spin the wheel. Date the guy. Write the story. Fall in love? Six years ago, Kitty Valentine took the book world by storm when her sweet debut romance hit number one on the Best Sellers List, which was followed by a string of successful releases. Her latest novel, however, totally bombs, causing her editor to suggest she write much sexier books. To Kitty, writing smut is the literary equivalent of … writing smut is the literary equivalent of stripping.
But with no advance coming in and her royalties dipping to an all-time low, Kitty has no choice.
Armed with a hot-guy spinning prize wheel, made by her best friend, listing all the different types of men she will date and then write about, Kitty will be spinning—not stripping—her way back onto the best-sellers list.
And in the process, she just might write her own happily ever after.

Book 4 in Kitty’s dating adventure we get to see her date a fireman. Who hasn’t seen a hot fireman and wished they could date him. This book will have you laughing at what Kitty gets herself into. Can’t wait to read her next dating experience.
Kitty dates a fireman…oh heck yes! Such an entertaining story with a little angst, some humor and a couple of light twists. Honestly I fell in love with Bryce…I’m not going to lie. Kitty always seems to find worthy romantic heroes (well, mostly) and i would like to keep a few around. Or just move Matt in for some hate sex…I think some hands on lessons might be a necessity. Definitely found this installment enjoyable, funny, swoonworthy and bittersweet. Kept me pulled in from page one until the end.
This firefighters identity is shocking to Kitty – can she let herself date this man to progress her career?
I LOVE this series!
Going through this journey with Kitty, is amazing and eye-opening.
Love this book! Love this series!
What a fantastic addition to this series!
I never fail to laugh out loud with these books. Each one delivers something different — this one was laced with a little heartache. I L O V E D Bryce. The history written between him and Kitty was great and he was a complete cinnamon roll.
I highly recommend the Kitty Valentine series! I find her character so relatable.
Spin the wheel and now date a fireman!
Now not only is Kitty going on a date with a fireman, but her grandmother is involved in the choosing process of which fireman that she will date! Oh my my…
Kitty’s grandmother is involved in an auction to support the local animal shelters and what better way to raise money than having firefighters auctioned off? The only problem… the firefighter that Kitty’s grandmother chose for her is none other than Bryce, her high school nemesis and tormentor. Kitty doesn’t want anything to do with him and Bryce wants to prove that he is a changed man.
I enjoyed the ups and downs of Kitty and Bryce. Also, I’ve mentioned this before, but I feel the need to point it out again — I love the act that these dates are not just research or Kitty and the Inspiration of her new book fall into bed no matter how attractive they are. Each relationship brings out some vulnerabilities in Kitty and she learns more about what she wants.
Another thing is that I’m majorly rooting for Matt and Kitty to get together. I just have a feeling that they might end up together after everything is said and done, but who knows, I could be wrong too. Lol!
This series is fun and as a whole, I’ve loved every single instalment and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Kitty.
4 Stars!
Kitty Valentine Dates a Fireman (Kitty Valentine #4) was another great read by Jillian Dodd. Kitty is looking for her next book boyfriend to write. She takes to her best friends wheel of book heroes, and it lands on a fireman. Her grandmother just so happens to be attending a bachelor auction that will be starring all firemen. She starts her book research at the auction. Her grandmother winds up picking Bryce, a fireman who tormented Kitty as a child. I enjoyed reading Kitty and Bryce’s adventures and Kitty realizing that Bryce is more than the boy she remembers. I can’t wait to read more of Kitty’s adventures by Jillian Dodd.
Another fabulous book. Really enjoyed reading every second. I absolutely love love Kitty Valentine. Five stars. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This book was a great short read that had all of the best of Kitty Valentine’s personality and Jillian Dodd’s amazing writing. Kitty had the right amount of spunk and drama that any girl should have when dating a hot fireman.
The Kitty Valentine series is getting better and better with each book and definitely looking forward to more and more of them.
I received this book as an ARC and I am in love with the Kitty Valentine series! There are so many laugh-out-loud moments and it’s so hard to put the book down! I love how this series has a different spin on going for a guy and the ways she goes to meet these men! The fireman auction and surprises thrown her way in this book are great and I can’t wait to see who she ends up with!!
Stephannie’s 5 Star Review:
I’m really enjoying this series, but this one is by far my favorite. She spins the wheel and it lands on… a fireman. As luck would have it, Kitty’s grandmother is involved in a charity auction where Firefighters are auctioning off dates. Kitty grandmother is bidding on one hunky firefighter for her granddaughter. Who will Kitty grandmother pick for Kitty to date?
I enjoy reading any of Jillian Dodd’s books. This series is fun and enjoyable to read about Kitty and all her adventures in dating. I really can’t wait to see where this series goes and who Kitty ends up with in the end. #KittyNMatt These books are so much fun loving , easy to read and enjoy.
One click this series and check out Kitty Valentine! Jillian Dodd
Another fun Kitty Valentine book! There’s noting like dating a HOT firefighter or even having your pick at an auction! Kitty’s Grandmother is hilarious! It’s obvious where Kitty gets her wit from.
Can’t wait to see what’s next for Kitty!
Jillian Dodd has yet to fail me. This is, yet again, an amazing, quick-witted story. Kitty has spun the wheel again, and this time she lands on a fireman. Much to my surprise, after her grandmother’s interference, her fireman happens to be a bully from her childhood. As she gets to know Bryce as an adult, she finds that people can change, and though I loved reading about the hot fireman in this story, I’m excited to see what is next. I missed reading about her neighbor, Matt, this book, so I’m curious to see what direction their relationship goes in future books. This series definitely keeps me coming back for more, and I certainly will be back for the next one!
I am really enjoying this series. It’s time for Kitty to date someone new and this time it’s a fireman. Her grandmother has the perfect way for her to meet one, an auction.
She never would have picked Bryce to date. She decides to give him one date. One date leads to more.
I really enjoyed Kitty Valentine Dates a Fireman. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
I am really enjoying this series. It keeps getting better the more time we have with all of the characters. Kitty spins the wheel and she gets a fireman in this book. She is with her grandmother when she spins and she just so happens to have organized a bachelor auction of fireman to support the animal clinic. I have to say that of all these stories that I have read so far, this one with Bryce seemed to have a much more emotional punch to it. It dealt with some more serious issues. I find that I am developing attachments to some of these guys but I am so curious to see what happens next.
Going on this journey with Kitty has been so amazing. I feel like we saw so much growth fro Kitty in this book. It’s easy to hold onto hate but Kitty showed that it’s just as easy to let go of that hate and see how much someone can change. I enjoyed seeing more of her Grandmother in this book and maybe we will get to see more of her love story as well. Bryce was a great guy for Kitty and I hope they can remain friends and she can continue to show him that he has people who do care about him. This story just keeps getting better and better and I can’t wait for more.
I absolutely loved this book. I am falling more and more in love with Kitty. I used to not like her Grandmother but now I think she is AWESOME I liked Bryce the firefighter in this book but I am honestly still rooting for Matt. Even if Bryce is a sexy Santa Can’t wait till the next book. Can’t wait to find out who she “dates” next. Fingers crossed she ends up with Matt and Phoebe
Kitty continues to make me giggle with her clumsiness which I always say this is one of Jillian’s characters I personally relate to. This series has been so fun to read for me personally because with college starting back up I know I am going to be reading a ton again and I know I am going to get burnt out on reading again. But I always count down the days until these books release and get so excited about them that I binge the heck out of them that day. The firefighter was not one I thought would become a top contender or like for me. But I ended up absolutely loving him and the book! I don’t wanna like all these guys, it’s making it hard for me to chose who I want her to end up with.
4.5 stars!! I just want to take this opportunity to brag on Jillian Dodd because her writing is great and she doesn’t leave us waiting long for another book. Seriously, however she does it I’m convinced she’s a superhero. Anyways, I love this series. Which is expected because as I said, Jillian can WRITE. I’m pretty sure these are my favorite characters she’s ever written. I love Kitty. And I can say that because I’ve read all of her books. So, read the series. And every other book she’s written. What are you waiting for?!
Kitty gets her chance at revenge in this book…but will she take it? This installment of Kitty’s dating wheel finds her with a not so nice blast from the past. But not all is as it seems, and Kitty learns a lesson on forgiveness and compassion. This book was more serious than Kitty’s other dating adventures, and be prepared for Grandmother to steal your heart a little.
In this next instalment in the Kitty Valentine series the arrow lands on ‘Fireman’ and Kitty’s grandmother has the perfect way for her to meet one. A charity auction where you can bid on a date with a gorgeous, single fireman.
Kitty and her grandmother don’t always see eye to eye and when Kitty discovers her date has already been pre-selected for her she decides to run with it. Until she sees him in the flesh. Sure, he is absolutely gorgeous, has the cutest dimples and eyes she could drown in – BUT, she already knows this guy and he is the last person she would ever go on a date with.
Sensing an opportunity to give this guy a piece of her mind, it’s something she has wanted to do for years, she relents and agrees on one date. Which turns into 2, then 3, then 4… Kitty realises that she actually enjoys Bryce’s company, the fact that he is so self aware of his past flaws and really quite thoughtful just adds to his appeal.
Dating a fireman does have its drawbacks though and Kitty doesn’t know if they are ones she could live with if things get really serious between them. One thing she does know is that wherever she is around Bryce, things get smoking hot! This was a fun frenemies story that left me wanting more… I loved Bryce the Fireman 🙂
