Maybe I should have read the blurb, but Kitty, It’s Cold Outside is a Rachelle Ayala Christmas book. This book was great fun to read and a real surprise since I did not read the blurb. The characters are fantastic and so well portrayed. This story is well written and moves along seamlessly. The attention to detail and the intriguing plot kept me reading far into the night. After all Christmas is a time to believe and miracles do happen. I thoroughly enjoyed this adventure in Christmas Creek.
Now this is really a happily ever after book!! This is the second book in this series I have read–not in order as usual–but it really does not matter. This can be thoroughly enjoyed as a stand alone!
Katherine Gills has a curse on her–she is forced to relive Christmas after Christmas until the terms of the contract she made are fulfilled. Mick Jolly is a mailman who takes his job very seriously. Then came the day he delivered a box to the old deserted mill house and a kitten was inside! He comes back to feed the kitty and instead finds a beautiful woman. They get transported somehow or another to her century and then back again.
Meanwhile they begin to fall in love–but she keeps disappearing!
Do not worry–the ending is so nice that it will surely get you into the Holiday spirit!!
Delivering a package led to a mysterious woman that he needed to help. Even if it broke his heart.
This is a story that kept me thinking about it a long time after I finished reading, the characters so compelling that I couldn’t quite let them go, which is unusual for me. I completely loved it! I haven’t read a ton of time travel, but this one fits nicely with the rest of the magical Christmas Creek series, just going one step further. The dialogue had me laughing tons and the chemistry between Mick and Katherine was perfect. Everything flowed seamlessly between present and past, and kept me eagerly flipping my tablet’s screen from start to finish. I highly recommend this book. So much fun and a great addition to the series!
