This talking cat has a murder to solve… But will his new human agree to play Watson to his Sherlock? I was just your normal twenty-something with seven associate degrees and no idea what I wanted to do with my life. That is, until I died… Well, almost. As if a near-death experience at the hands of an old coffeemaker wasn’t embarrassing enough, I woke up to find I could talk to animals. Or rather … to find I could talk to animals. Or rather one animal in particular.
His full name is Octavius Maxwell Ricardo Edmund Frederick Fulton, but since that’s way too long for anyone to remember, I’ve taken to calling him Octo-Cat. He talks so fast he can be difficult to understand, but seems to be telling me that his late owner didn’t die of natural causes like everyone believes.
Well, now it looks like I no longer have a choice, apparently my life calling is to serve as Blueberry Bay’s first ever pet whisperer P.I while maintaining my façade as a paralegal at the offices of Fulton, Thompson & Associates.
I just have one question: How did Dr. Doolittle make this gig look so easy?

What a great afternoon read! Absolutely loved it!
I received an ARC leaving my honest review of the book. I had a hard time getting into the story at first. But once I finally did, I’m glad I stuck with it. I knew who “done it” before they were revealed, However, I was wrong in what the relationship was between Mr. Fulton and Angie’s co-worker. (can’t be right all the time). I was also happy about how things turned out between Angie and Bethany, especially after all the “diva” drama and accusations. There are a few questions in my brain…did Brad get what he deserved and what happened to Ethel and Octo-Cat’s amazing house, who inherited it?
I absolutely love this book! Kitty Confidential had me laughing with its fun characters, especially Octo-Cat. The mystery was fun to try and figure out. Just when you think you have it figured out something happens to change your mind. I love the relationship between the Cat and Angie, this relationship is what made me fall in love with this book. Author Molly Fitz does a wonderful job pulling you in from the first page and keeps you wanting more. This is one author your going to want to follow.
Was given a complimentary copy. All opinions are my own,
A mystery to solve for Angie and Octo Cat. she wasn’t a cat whisperer but close. Loved Angie and her grandmother was awesome. I had to warm up to Octo Cat. There were a couple of mysteries in this book. Looking forward to the next in this series.
Kitty Confidential by Molly Fitz is an adorable funny cozy mystery story. I loved how Angi Russo can understand the cat (Octo-Cat)of his dead owner. It is laugh out loud funny mystery with all the situations that happens to Angie and with the Oct-Cat. Well worth your time to read it is an endearing funny mystery story with a talking cat. I received this book as an ARC for an honest review of it.
Angie and Octo-Cat are a huge success with me and has me loving cozy mysteries even more than before. What fun it would be to talk to and understand what animals are saying to us. This was so full of quirkiness, suspense, laughable moments and love for felines. I cant wait for the next book in this series and you should grab your copy today and start reading. Congrats and job well done Molly Fitz!!!!!

I enjoyed this cozy mystery. It has me wondering what I could do if I could talk with my cats. There were several twists I didn’t expect.
Super awesome cozy mystery that uses humor and an interesting concept to not only present a murder but help solve the murder. Great interaction between the main character and a cat (love his attitude) who become partners in solving the mystery and this develop a bond. Looking forward to future stories in this series especially if this 1st book in the series is an indicator of what is to come.
A great start to a new series. Molly and her new partner Octo-cat make a great team. The story is a lot of fun and also very entertaining. Highly recommend
Oh, my whiskers. This was. So. Much. Fun!!!
I am a big fan of cozy mysteries, especially quirky ones with pets. And this one was a gooood one!
It immediately starts out fun: (quote) “The first thing you should know about me is that I hate lawyers. The second is that I work for them.”
Seven associate degrees and still: a job she doesn’t really like. A freak accident leads to her being able to talk to animals. Octo-Cat says he knows that his previous owner was murdered. But he didn’t see whodunit as all humans look the same! LOL. Make no mistake: he is the boss, not Angie. He leads the investigation, not Angie.
I loved this book! I doted on Octo-Cat! I adored Angie! The book has a very light-hearted tone that I loved. Angie is not averse to self-mockery. Octo-Cat is one crabby tabby! A cat with attitude.
I did know whodunit long before I was supposed too. There were only really a few suspects, and the case was quite simple to solve. But it was still super exciting! I loveloveloved it! This story hit the right spot. I was bummed when it ended; I wanted it to continue!
I loved Kitty Confidential (even though I am a dog person. I think we get a dog in book two!). After being shocked by an old coffeemaker, Angie finds that she can talk to a sarcastic cat with too many names. Octo-Cat is much better! The cat tells Angie her mistress was murdered and wants help solving the case. I have no problem buying into talking animals so I was delighted with their constant snipping at each other as they worked to unravel the case. There were plenty of suspects before the case was closed. I am eagerly waiting book two in the series. I highly recommend this book.
I loved this book. As a person owned by a cat Octavius’s attitude is familiar to me. I’m always telling my owner that I understand but it would be so much better if I really did or would it. Loved the humor and the mystery put into this book. I look forward to reading more by Molly Fitz.
I defy anyone to be able to resist this book’s blurb and premise; how much more interesting would our lives not be if we could understand the cats around us. Octo-Cat is a lovely character, and so is Angie Russo who, after an electrical accident, can understand him. There are twists and turns (as there would be in in a “Pet Whisperer PI” story), but the ending is satisfactory and this is a lovely new string to Melissa Storm’s writing bow, as Molly Fitz.
This was a fun cozy mystery to read. I have to say I haven’t read many but I enjoyed this one! Who doesn’t love a talking cat telling you that his owner was murdered??!! This all happens during the reading of the will and the person “hearing this” just had a life altering experience with a zapped coffee maker (yes, you heard that right!) so she can’t believe what is happening! Go along for the ride with Octo-Cat and the rest of the crazy characters as a murder is solved! The murderer may surprise you, as it did me!
Joy to read this story!!! Funny and couldnt put the book down. Loved it. So far it’s my favorite one.
I love mysteries. This is also entertaining with a cat that talks & the crazy situations that occur while trying to figure WHO DONE IT? I definately didn’t figure out who the murder was. Really fast, fun book to read. Highly recommend.
I received an ARC copy. This is my honest, voluntary review.
This is an amusing story. Angie’s life is just fine until the near death experience that allows her to understand and talk to animals. Octo-cat is a typical feline who thinks humans are lesser creatures and together these two manage to find a murderer. There is lots of humour, interesting characters and a few unexpected twists in this story. The ending was unexpected.
Kitty Confidential by Molly Fitz (Melissa Storm) is such a great story. It had me smiling the whole time! Angie Russo is working as a paralegal and, after getting an electric shock from an old coffee machine, is able to talk to a cat. Octo-Cat’s owner, Ethel, the aunt of one of the lawyers, has just died and the cat is telling Angie that Ethel was murdered! Yes, it gets even more interesting as the plot unravels. I loved this story. It was a great cozy mystery. Everything about it was such a fun read. The mystery part will keep you guessing until the end. This is a well written story. I highly recommend it. I received this book as an advanced reader copy and I always review every book that I read.
I could not put it down! You will love this book.
