An enjoyable well written insta love romance. This engaging storyline had me addicted from the beginning to the end. It includes, drama, angst, sexiness, twist, and could be intense and smoldering. The characters were interesting but completely different with sizzling hot chemistry. I voluntarily read and reviewed this fast paced, smooth flowing awesome romance

I really enjoyed Jackson and Cathy’s story. This has drama, thrills, twists and turns and some hot chemistry between the two. This book will give you some feels. I just wished the epilogue was a little further in the future and that Cathy remembered her first time. Otherwise, it was a really good read.
Cathy has had a very rough life. She nearly drowning as a teenager. But her best friend , Trisha, did and she can not remember what happened that night. So Cathy has lived with this emptiness in her life and she does not want to fill. But things change when she needs to go out and get a job so she doesn’t have to depend on her mom for the rest of life. So she interviews as an manager in training intern. But on her way there, she realize that it is too far for her to travel and is going to turn it down. But the owner of the restaurant starts interviewing her and realizes who she is. Will she take the job once she realizes that it’s her best friend’s big brother, Jackson, or will she still live in the past?
Jackson has never forgot about his sister, Trisha or her best friend, Cathy. Then Cathy walks into his new restaurant looking for a job and all of his old feeling for her resurfaces. Now he prove to her that it is destiny that they reconnect and that Trisha has something to do with it. But Jackson has his own personal issues to deal with too. He has a daughter who lost her mother and whose grandmother wants to take her. Will Jackson be able to be the best dad to his daughter and best pick for Cathy?
I loved this book. I could not put it down once I started reading it. I had to see what happened next. They had so many obstacles to get through to see if it was worth it. I can’t wait to read another book by this author. I recommend this book to others
Kitchen Boss was a great read. When I first saw it was an I slept with my best friend’s brother, I must admit I hesitated, but I’m so glad I didn’t. It’s not your traditional story. Cathy has a dark past and it’s creeping in slowly. It’s haunting her in moments of her life. She moving forward but not really living. Jackson was a skinny lanky nerd who turn into a hot inked up chef. He hasn’t laid eyes on Cathy in eleven years. So much has taken place they both need to catch up. Jackson has a little girl Maisie who is adorable. Well one thing leads to another and now Cathy is pregnant . Cathy and Jackson past keeps creeping up and they just don’t see a happily ever after. This book was really great. It’s not at all what I expected. I loved the author’s writing style, she is a fantastic story teller. I must admit I got a little teary eyed. This book has become one of my favorites. If you check out any best friend’s brother story this year please for the love of all books read this one. I promise you will not regret it.
Cathy was in an accident that nearly killed her but did her best friend Trisha. It took her awhile to be able to move on because she couldn’t remember what happened. Now years later she is trying to find a job and stumble across an ad for an intern position at a restaurant its further away than she likes but she needs a job. When she goes for the interview she runs into Jackson Trisha’s brother and its his place she’s be working at. Jackson is stunned when he sees Cathy and immediately wants her hired for the job. However its Ken that has the option of hiring her since Cathy will be working with her. Cathy takes the job but when they find her sleeping in the office Jackson offers to let her live with him and his daughter. Cathy agrees but only if he’ll let her help out with his daughter when he needs someone. Things heat up between them and soon Jackson can see more of a future with Cathy. Cathy starts remembering about the accident and worries that she somehow caused it. Will Cathy remember what really happened that day years ago? Will Jackson push her away to keep his daughter out of a custody battle with his mother-in-law?
This is an amazing story that has a surprising twist that even I didn’t see coming. The chemistry between them is blazing hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I can’t wait to read more by this author. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

Highly entertaining, sexy, fun and engaging adventure filled with secrets, witty banter, exciting twists and undeniable passion….. a great read from beginning to end. Really enjoyed this emotionally thrilling journey.
Kitchen Boss by Ashlee Price is a sweet contemporary romance. In this book, Cathy awakes in the hospital with amnesia after almost drowning. She discovers that her best friend Trisha died and that she was in a coma for several days. Years later as Cathy searches for a job she applies for an internship and is hired by Jackson her dead best friends older brother. This is the beginning of their relationship of boss to employee, but which eventually turns into that of friends then more. This story was so sweet and yet had just enough spice to make it hot. The best part of this love story was the mystery that was solved at the very end so the truth came out. I really loved this book! Kitchen Boss is sweet love story with a suspenseful twisted ending.

Will Jackson find a way into Cathy’s solitary life
Ashlee is one of my top ten authors as I just love everything she writes! Cathy is saved from drowning by her best friend, Trisha, but due to amnesia has no memory of how it happened or how her best friend died. Eleven years later, Cathy walks into a restaurant to apply for their internship which she finds out is owned by Trisha’s brother, Jackson. The restaurant manager hires her on the spot, and Jackson has Cathy move into his house rental to save her time on her commute and to help with his daughter. Jackson’s mother-in-law causes a stink over their living arrangement, so Jackson makes Cathy his pretend fiancée. But will pretending to be engaged lead to something more? You have to read to find out and will love the twists in the plot!
This story is about Jackson and Cathy. The story begins with Cathy not able to find a job and having a cat intrude in her apartment. When she goes to return the cat to her landlady, she is informed that she will need to move out as her son is renovating the apartments. To this news she is now determined to find a job as she will need to move soon. She finds an internship job and decides to go there, but then realizes that it is over an hour drive. The worst thing is that the cook or better yet her new boss, is the brother of her childhood best friend who passed away saving her from drowning. Because he reminds of the tragedy, she states that it may not be a good idea of her taking this management internship, but Ken and Jackson convince her, and she takes it. The story takes off the next day, with involvement of Ken, Maisie (Jackson’s daughter) and the character of Betty along with the groupies, this story is worth reading. I take meanings from each story as they are not just all about romance and sex, this one was forgiving oneself and having faith in those around you – learning to LOVE….

Cathy has an innocence about her that is so refreshing. Jackson is a gentleman who is not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve. This Book Must be Added to Your Reading List.
Does a friendship transcend death? Does a mother-in-law stop being one when a husband’s wife dies? Cathy and Jackson wrestle with these and other dilemmas along their friendship and courtship.
Cathy as a teen experienced a life altering event. While at the lake she drowned and had to be resuscitated while her best friend, Trish, didn’t make it. Unfortunately Cathey has never been able to remember that day and it has had a negative impact on her life.
Unable to find a job, she finally decides to interview for an internship. It’s a restaurant an hour away. The Chef, Jackson, immediately recognizes her. He is Trish’s older brother. Cathy is somewhat ambivalent about accepting until she meets Maisie, Jackson’s three year old. She accepts and soon moves in because he only lives a couple of blocks from the restaurant as opposed to an hour. She also agrees to help with childcare duties. This does not sit well with Betty, Maisie’s maternal grandmother. She is an awful person who goes about accusing Cathy of all sorts of things.
As their relationship progresses Jackson and Cathy draw closer to protect Maisie and each other. Danger presents itself in many forms. But hopefully it’s love that will override all.
Author Ashlee Price has written a phenomenal love story. Not only about romantic love but also about self-love. I’m not going to lie here there were a few tears shed while reading a couple of scenes.
I overwhelmingly am recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Peace.

Ms. Ashlee Price has just published a heartbreakingly beautiful love story for us to lose ourselves in. Kitchen Boss has a superbly crafted storyline with the incredible characters to match.
He is a restaurant owner, a single Father, as well as her best friends Brother. Jackson has known unimaginable heartache and yet has turned his sorrow into devotion; for his adorable Daughter, Maisie, as well as his successful restaurant chain; leaving no personal time for himself. Imagine his surprise to see Cathy standing in front of him looking for an intern position for/at his latest restaurant. She might be in her 20’s, but this, beautifully complicated, woman has yet to truly live her life. Setting out on her own, is quite simply, difficult to say the least. However, Cathy is determined to try, without the help of her parents. Having survived a tragedy that has altered her life, Cathy, is discovering herself and her own strength. Following up on a lead for employment, Cathy is shocked by seeing Jackson after all these years. Both have grown and so has the heat & chemistry between them. I encourage all romance reader’s to follow along as these two not only heal one another, but thrive as a couple, and find their happily ever after.
I was beyond fortunate to have requested an advanced reader’s copy of Kitchen Boss in exchange for my honest and voluntarily given opinion. I highly recommend reading this book as well as anything written by Ms. Price
I really enjoyed this book. I thought the story offered a good balance between fun and serious. The story was interesting and the characters likable. The chemistry between was steamy and I thought they made a good couple. Strong emotions, drama, suspense, twists and romance are combined into a potent blend that will capture and hold your attention. A very entertaining read. This is my honest, voluntary review.
Cathy’s looking for a job. Sure, she’s older than the first time job seekers but that shouldn’t matter. Finally, she finds a job but Jackson owns the restaurant she’ll be a management trainee in. Jackson and Cathy have a history and not a pleasant one at that. They both lost someone very important to them early in life, Jackson’s sister and Cathy’s best friend. But they’re not the same people they were then. How will they get along and what will their relationship be like now?
Ashlee Price did such a wonderful job writing this book. We got it in these pages – suspense, tragedy, laughs, hot sex, and yes, love. Ashlee always helps you understand and feel the characters actions and feelings. This is one of her best books
Wow! Talk about twists and turns. If you like some angst and suspense with some fun, sweet, and steam thrown in, this is it. The story sucks you in from the beginning and I loved seeing Cathy and Jackson’s relationship unfold.
