This is the first book I will not finish and deleted it horrible!!!
This was such a good book with sensitive issues around his past and why he thought he was broken due to his childhood. August was kind, consider, loving to Charlotte, but he didn’t want to reveal his childhood secrets that messed him up. Good word and character building with how Charlotte was understanding and helped him overcome his fears. Very well written. Kept me interested and wanting to know how it ends.
A fast paced, entertaining read. The story will hold your attention all the way through. The author gives us an enjoyable read. These two fit well together. An entertaining read.
This book is a nice read with a nice storyline . The characters Charlotte and August have great chemistry together . overall nice read .

The two main characters in this story are twenty seven year old Charlotte Ryan who works as a webmaster for a local community college, and billionaire August Mason. She first meets him at a meeting she is forced to attend by her boss, with local businesses and possible sponsors for the college. Both end up leaving the room for some fresh air and he makes it plain he kind of hates those sort of events, as she clearly does as well. Charlotte feels like life is leaving her behind, especially after her mother’s recent death and her younger sister Anna seeming to have met most of life’s targets already, she is in a relationship and pregnant with her first child, has a car, a good job and is now looking to get a house. All Charlotte has is her job, which she is really good at and she has attracted loads more business and students to the college with her new website. She is offered a chance of a job with August to set up a positive social media presence for his family’s company. It would be a welcome chance to earn some extra money which would help when her sister moves out. She made a complete fool of herself when she met up with him to talk about the job offer, but he is still interested in hiring her!
Charlotte is resigned to a life with no romantic interests, concentrating on her work, often staying late unpaid, to achieve the look and results she is aiming for. When her boss Tim calls her into a meeting with the president of the college Jason, she finds out that Jason hates everything she has done and wants her to change it all immediately, back to the sort of web pages from over two decades before! After all the work she had put into making the website work well and attract more students, this is a step too far and she quits! Luckily August’s job offer can easily be made full time and offers her a lot better salary and lots of extra perks. Some of those perks involve working closely with August and being shown how good life can really be with him. He treats her really well and they get hot and steamy together really quickly, but he has a serious secret he has been keeping from her and it could ruin everything they have together and her new job as well. Whether Charlotte can see past the problem he has, or see a future with him, is to be decided. She has a big decision to make and she needs to discover if she is strong enough to help him through his darkness, or make the decision that he is too broken for her to cope with. Life is difficult and each person’s past can impact their present and their future immensely. She has choices to make that could impact her future and her chances of happiness and so must decide what she can live with. A heartfelt piece of reality is added to the story with August’s issue and how it is dealt with. A steamy romance with issues from the past hampering the HEA, but hurdles are there to be overcome if the person is important enough! I received an ARC copy of this book from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the book above.
Charlotte was webmaster for a community college and she met August at a college donors event. August was impressed with her work and wanted to offer her a job in his company. Charlotte couldn’t believe that he was truly interested in her. When he takes her out to dinner to talk more, she gets drunk and humiliates herself. The next morning she wants to hid but August keeps pursuing her. Charlotte is intimidated by the fact that he is a billionaire and she is a struggling webmaster but the sparks are flying. When she finally lets him in, it seems that he pushes her away.
August is very attracted to Charlotte. He also admires her work. He really wants her to work for his company providing on-line content. He is thrilled when she finally lets him in but he has his own problems he is coping with. He was in the service and is still struggling.

Such a great story with a fun storyline. Charlotte meets August at a luncheon that the college is throwing for all the donors. When August tell Charlotte he has a business proposition for her and if she goes to dinner with him he’ll explain what he needs. He wants to hire Charlotte for a website for his company Strongbelt Robotics. When she gets roped into doing a web site for the college she knows that it’s not going to work. She had to cancel the dinner date with August but she ends up outside his house. He tells her to come in and they can discuss her options. This is a fast paced story with engaging character of Charlotte and August. There is drama, emotions and some sizzling steam. There are some issues that they have to work out and the biggest is his PTSD. Will Charlotte be able to handle when that happens rear its ugly head? Read and find out. A very electrifying read. The energy between the characters pulls you in. You have to keep reading because you must know how it ends.
This is the story of Charlotte and August. I liked Charlotte, who gets drunk at basically a job interview, and then all that happens after was oddly funny. August is a great character also. The reason Charlotte drank so much was because of nerves, she likes her new boss. There is a secret that August is keeping but actually it should not be a deal breaker. This was a great book with fantastic characters, I enjoyed it very much. Who does not like billionaires?

Hot and fast read. Drama, steam, action galore. Love this series. The author puts so much in a short story. Five stars.
Completely and utterly taken captive by this story! It was EVERYTHING!!! SO MUCH ALPHA! Charlotte and August she works for the college and they are threw a luncheon for the donors where she of course meets August and she impressed with her and invites her to dinner with a proposition that she takes it the wrong way but after explaining that business proposition of working on the web site for his company. But she seeks August’s help as the presentation she has to do for the college’s website is not going to work yet her boss insists on her presenting it and he offers her a job with his company. Once her boss realizes it isn’t going to work and tells her this but by this point, she is so frustrated and aggravated with it all she quits. August is a gentle soul and it doesn’t help that he is hot and sexy as all get out and true to his words hires her to work with his site and they get closer each day after dating for a while he informs her he has PTSD (not really sure why that would even be a deal breaker ) but she feels she needs to think this through and of course it isn’t the man she knows is still the same and she love him just as he is PTSD and all. So do these two love each other enough to walk the path to happiness together or will the PTSD get in the way?
I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Charlotte and August meet when she is working for the college as a webmaster. They both have issues to work thru. He makes her a business proposition she cannot turn down. They get to know one another and the attraction is definitely there. Charlotte will have to decide if she can work with his issues. August is not so sure that she will find him worth it. They both have a lot to work thru to get their happy ending. I thought that the story was well written with great characters

She can kiss the Billionaire but can she keep him
So I have to say that I really like Sophie Stern’s “modern romance” books a lot. The author is a talented writer who can deliver books in a wide variety of tropes but for me it is stories like Kissing the Billionaire I really enjoy.
This is a fast-paced and sweet story with interesting characters in Charlotte and August. They are written with quite a bit of depth and they certainly have a lot of drama and emotion, along with some steamy sexy hotness between them.
I found this book to be very enjoyable and a fun read. Thee were also some seriously hot adult scenes that the author is great at writing, so a nice bonus.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
While hardship is expected, usually one of the main character is almost perfect, with not a hair out of place. But this story crumble that storyline to tell a more realistic story.

Comes and goes between hot and cold
Very well written and rather hot romance. At the beginning, I didn’t understand the reaction of the character of August who was blowing hot and cold continuously, but we understand better at the end. It is an end that is predictable, but with an unpredictable reason in the past of August.
However, I really liked Charlotte from the start, whether it was her character or her reactions.
Charlotte is the webmaster at a local university. She impressed August, the heir to a robotics company who wants to hire her to promote the image of his company. However, the reactions of August who goes from the seducer to an icy block, make Charlotte understand that she will not be able to work for him if he constantly oscillates between seduction and rejection
