JaseI’m not averse to a long-term relationship, I just haven’t found the right girl. Yet.
But the busy matchmakers in my small town have other ideas.
The kind that start and end with a wedding dress and a baby carriage.
So I tricked my best friend into pretending to be my girlfriend. Just for the summer, of course.Only I started to notice that my fake lover’s legs were smokin’ hot, that her lips … legs were smokin’ hot, that her lips were beyond kissable.
And I wanted to kiss her. Badly.
As summer nights grew hotter things got more confusing, real or fake, I didn’t know anymore.
It took almost losing her to realize that our fake relationship wasn’t fooling anyone, but us.
Bo
Everyone leaves. That’s the hard and fast rule I’ve built my life around.
Then my best friend and a stupid fake relationship changed everything.
Jase. My confidante. My family.
My fake firefighter boyfriend for the summer.
Emphasis on fake.
Until one little kissing booth ruined everything.
Made me see Jase as a man. A gorgeous, funny, kind, and did I mention gorgeous, man?
But it can’t work because I know how this will end.
In a hot mess.

This is a fun sexy summer read – Bo and Jase’s story is so funny, since they can’t seem to see what’s right in front of them. Bo has a traumatic childhood and the only constant in her life if Chase. One day they decide to fake date and that’s when the light goes off and they both realize that they are made for each other. The story is sweet and entertaining and I honestly volunteered to review this book.
I loved the preview but can’t get the book due to I read in iBooks or nook not amazon kindle
Another well written book by Piper Sullivan. It’s a friends to lovers romance between Bo and Jase who have been best friends for years. They’ve been faking a relationship to ward off the matchmaking busy bodies until the kiss that changed everything. The author does a great job building their story and bringing a steamy romance that had me hooked from start to finish. I enjoyed reading their story and would recommend this book/series.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book. All opinions in this review are my own and freely given.
If you’re in the mood for a really good “friends to lovers” fake romance turns real tale then you really can’t go wrong with Piper Sullivan’s Kissing My Best Friend. There are lots of stories with this basic plotline of best friends for some reason or another ending up pretending to be a romantic couple, only to discover after lots of confusion and angst (and more) that they really do love each other. It’s a trope that I frankly love so long as it’s well done. Bo and Jase’s story is most definitely well done, with a well-crafted cast from leads on down and a really well-written plot. Bo may have taken abandonment issues to heights unparalleled, but, as her lifelong friend turned lover, Jase is just the man to overcome this. Can’t ask for more than that. But for the fact that I’m literally dictating this review to my husband from my hospital bed I could go on and on with praises. The book definitely deserves it. Since I can’t do that I will simply note that the book is most definitely one to read, and it is easy to highly recommend.
I do enjoy revisiting Tulip and the Hometown Heroes.
Bo’s vulnerability was kind of weirdly interesting. She was strong, independent, and intelligent. Yet, she was so dead set on the idea that Jase was going to leave her, it became a little annoying and sad at times.
Jase seemed to have this infinite well of patience with Bo. They were good friends who also happened to be fun, supportive, and snarky. I felt like discovering they wanted to be more than friends was startling to them both.
I liked watching their relationship develop. They were so in tune to each other. I did end up wondering how Jase was going to win Bo over. Overall, it was a sexy, romantic, and sweet story.
I voluntarily read and reviewed the Advanced Reader Copy.
