The woman he loved died.
And I’m what’s left standing.
I didn’t know I would fall for him. He is, after all, my enemy.
I set out to break his heart. And that’s what I plan to do. Splatter it into a million pieces.
He’s an asshole, you see.
He runs this town. And he thinks he can run me too.
Well, he can’t.
And he can think again.
Most women don’t fall at the feet of a man like him. No, they … him. No, they grovel.
Except, I can’t. Because I hate him.
Even with his rugged good looks and a demanding presence, he can’t win me.
Because I’ve played this game well.
And I will win.

Blaze and Kat was a funaomonal read. I truly enjoyed their story. Hot and steamy just the way I like it.
Blaze and kat are both strong-willed tough people. You meet blaze and kat in the first book kisses and lies. Blaze is the president of an mc with walls built so high around his heart you don’t think anyone could break them down. Kat is a single mom with a firece attitude. She’s not going to take crap from anyone. My favorite quote from kat in the book “I’m going to break your fucking heart, Blaze, and you’re going to enjoy every single moment of it.”. Will she be able to make blaze fall in love with her so she can break his heart or will she end up being the one to fall in love.
3.5 stars
Oh, I loved to be back in the world of Kisses and Lies! It’s always great to meet the people again you fell for in another book. And I had a great time reading Kisses and Warfare even though I had some trouble getting into the story line.
Although I enjoyed reading this book, I had some trouble really loving it. First of all there was no real development in the relationship between Kat and Blaze and it was hard for me to connect with them as a couple. The attraction was clearly there and I enjoyed their banter but their story wasn’t as strong as the characters themselves.
I ended up thinking the overall story could have been stronger. I was looking for the point where the story really got me on the hook. Two such strong personalities should have been able doing that.
My favorite thing about this book was Kat. She is totally a kickass women who clearly knows what she needs and doesn’t accept anything less. She stayed strong to her believes the entire story, putting Blaze in his place more than once.
I had to read this after reading Kisses and Lies and I’m so glad that I did. Blaze and Kat are fire! These two are combustible whenever they are near each other. A wild ride full of sass, heat, family, friendship, love, hate and more. This was a great read that I couldn’t put down.
These two didn’t know what hit them till
it was too late. I loved that the author wrote
Kat and Blaze’s story. Those two had scorching
chemistry since K&L. I do hope she continues with
the others, I’d love to dive back in into their world
Kisses and Warfare is a steamy 5-STAR read for me!!! I knew when I finished Kisses and Lies and discovered the next book would be about Rochelle’s sister, Kat, and Marcus’s brother, Blaze, that it was going to be out of this world, T.L. Smith blew my expectations out of the water!
Kat and Blaze are electric together! Kat is the complete opposite of her sister. She is full of fire, and she means to bring Blaze to his knees, but what she didn’t expect was to fall for him. Blaze is the perfect epitome of a strong guy, but Kat seems to bring out his softer side even when he fights it. He definitely has no intention of falling for her, but he has no idea who the woman is he is dealing with.
While the book has plenty of steam, there are some tender moments as well. Kat is strong and determined, but she has a softer side to her, especially in the relationship she has with her sweet daughter and her sister! She believes in second chances, and I really saw that when her daughter’s father entered the picture again.
I enjoyed catching up with Rochelle and Marcus again. I liked seeing Blaze’s relationship with Rochelle change…he isn’t one of her biggest fans. The protection he feels for Kat was soooo sexy. Kat and her daughter tend to bring out the teddy bear in him!!!! I loved seeing those two sides to him!!!!
T.L. Smith is a fairly new writer to me. The way she writes MC Romance is incredible. Parts are dark as it is an MC Romance, but she manages to make her stories emotional. Her characters are so complicated, and she slowly reveals layers to them I wasn’t even expecting. I am so fortunate that I discovered this wonderful writer.
The things I loved about this book is all the amazing characters TL Smith brings back from her “Kisses and Lies” book. I love Kat. I love Blaze. I was so wanting to love their story. I just didn’t connect with them as a couple.
They did have romance and they had banter. To me the story wasn’t as strong as the characters. In the end I really just felt like I needed more story and needed more from two very strong personalities.
TL is making it harder and harder for me to choose just one favorite. Her writing is phenomenal.
Kat is an impressive character with such sass. She is bold and strong! I absolutely loved her! I got a taste of her in Kisses and Lies and couldn’t wait for Kisses and Warfare! If you love a strong female character Kat is all that!
Blaze is this tough guy who doesn’t let anything or anyone phase him… except for Kat. She gets under his skin and I freaking love it!
This is a must read if you enjoy strong female characters, MC gangs, enemies to lovers
WHEW!! This is one explosive book! I am so in love with Blaze and Kat! I love a good MC and Kisses and Warfare is my favorite in a long time! The chemistry is off the charts! FIVE STARS!!
The independent badass force of Kat collides (at her choice) with the stone wall that is Blaze and neither of them is the same after. Blaze is numb and cold, and doesn’t know love, doesn’t recognize it, and damn sure isn’t planning on feeling it when Kat decides to upend his world and break him. And yet, somehow he’s feeling something he doesn’t understand for her, and her baby, which is really odd considering he doesn’t like kids, at all. But Kat and her daughter are a package deal, so if he wants Kat, he has to embrace her daughter, too. Can he do it? Is he even willing to do it?
Kat may not have wanted to get pregnant when she had a one night stand, but as soon as her baby girl was laid on her chest, she fell irrevocably in love, and a fierce protectiveness was born in her. So for Blaze to tell her he doesn’t do kids is absolutely unacceptable to her, so she’s done. Absolutely done. And I loved that about her, how fierce and strong she was in all things, especially about her daughter. Talk about a mama bear!
Kat and Blaze had a raw connection, an enemies to lovers relationship that is almost as entertaining as her sister Rochelle and Blaze’s brother Marcus’ story, Kisses and Lies. The very best thing about Kisses and Warfare is Kat. I love me a fierce, badass woman, and that is the perfect description of Kat. She’s strong, tough, and protective and takes no shit from anyone, especially Blaze. I loved their snark and the chase she led him on, and I love that she never, ever took his crap, always stood up for herself, even at the very end when he was on his knees begging for her to forgive his stupid ass. I maybe, perhaps, didn’t think Blaze was quite good enough for Kat, but he definitely loved her and she loved him, so I gave him a pass. If you haven’t read the previous book in this world, that’s fine, you’ll still be able to get into this one, but I do recommend you read it so you’ll understand who Rochelle and Marcus are to Kat and Blaze, and the basics of this MC world. Once you read it, read this story and you will find you’re in love with the strong, amazing women and alpha males that make up this world T.L. Smith has created.
Another amazing story from TL Smith. Blaze is the president of an MC and Kat is a sassy take no crap manager of a strip club. They both think they hate each other but can’t deny the attraction between them. They both are two very strong personalities and I loved their banter and the way they pushed each other. The chemistry between them is off the charts! You will also see some familiar characters from Kisses and Lies in this story.
It took me about halfway through before I really enjoyed this book. I loved Kat and her take no attitude personality and Blaze with his vulnerability. I just didn’t understand these two together.
It was intriguing and I loved seeing Marcus and Rochelle. I hope to get more of them.
Blaze and Kat’s story was such a tantalizing game of cat and mouse! From the first few sentences, you just knew these two were going to be the most delicious type of trouble.
I was enthralled with Kat’s character, her sassy personality and her ability to let no one tear her down. She was on her own against the world. I loved the dedication she had to her infant daughter. I loved her connection with her family. I also appreciated her desire to do well in her profession, despite feeling a bit of shame for her workplace. Kat was a go-getter and an extremely strong and fierce heroine! Boy did she have the mouth to back it up!
What a broken and lost soul Blaze was. He was a complete shell of a man, just living day to day with zero aspirations or plan. Be there for his brother Marcus and protect his MC. That’s basically all he had to live for. Until the firecracker Katarina entered his line of sight and never left. I loved the inner turmoil he battled, trying to stay away from Kat but not being able to. She weaseled her way under his armor until he had no choice but to let her into his heart. His brooding demeanor was no match for her tenacity to make him fall in love with her.
The verbal sparing between the two main characters was addictive and electric. I loved how their relationship grew slowly. The feelings sparked in the slowest burn. I really liked how the author took chances and didn’t hide the darker side of either character from one another. These were two of the most honest, up front, no BS characters. It worked in their favor! Did I mention the intimate scenes were scorching!?!? Grab a fan ladies!
The only reason this wasn’t a 5 star read for me:
The introduction of Kat’s sperm donor felt so random and a little chaotic. I loved the single parent story line but felt like the details of the baby daddy were an after thought. He was given way too much leniency in a short period of time. And then his admission to Kat about his relationship preferences seemed odd too. The whole dynamic around the baby’s father didn’t mesh with the rest of the story and needed to be flushed out a bit more.
I also didn’t buy Blaze’s acceptance of Kat’s daughter as easily as it was to be believed. The man did NOT like kids, yet he instantly fell in love with hers? It just seemed unrealistic for how the rest of the story was written and how the characters behaved. Trust me, I wanted him to love Kat AND her daughter because they were a package deal. But the commitment to a kid just felt unrealistic for who he was. In the end though, I was happy that he took the leap and wanted to protect both of them.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
Let me start by saying I have a huge soft spot for enemies to lovers and wow just wow this one did not disappoint . There is so much burn just waiting for the utter explosion in this read that left me devouring every single page and sad when it all ended yet completely fulfilled.
Kisses and Warfare by T.L. is a complete stand-alone book although is connected to Kisses and Lies. Each Book can be read in any order.
From the moment I started this book, I was completely hooked into the story that this author had created. In this book we meet Blaze and Kat. For those of you who have read Kisses and Lies you may recognise these two. Blaze being the older brother to Marcus and Kat being sisters with Rochelle.
This is Blaze and Kat’s Story!
Blaze is the president of the Exile MC club and doesn’t believe in falling in love. You kinda don’t blame him after his family upbringing and reading this book you will find out all about that. His placed this wall up or more like a barrier to guard himself and this where his tough guy and closed off act shine through his character.
Men like Blaze are trouble and dangerous, especially with those hypnotic eyes and the way they can penetrate you and play with your emotions.
You see the woman he loved died.
And I’m what’s left standing.
I didn’t know I would fall for him. He is, after all, my enemy.
I set out to break his heart. And that’s what I plan to do. Splatter it into a million pieces.
He’s your typical alpha, you see.
He runs this town. And he thinks he can run Kat too.
Well, he can’t.
And he can think again.
Most women don’t fall at the feet of a man like him. No, they grovel.
Except, I can’t. Because I hate him.
Even with his rugged good looks and a demanding presence, he can’t win me.
Kat and Blaze come from two separate worlds and this fiery, red head might be what Blaze needs to restore his heart. The lines of love and hate will be blurred and in the end will the path to breaking each other’s hearts really be worth it when in the end your both are going to be left broken.
The push and pull in this book was palpable, when one would push the other would give and so fourth. It’s was like a little game they had happening.
I am not gonna go into the plot and the twists and turns that you will discover throughout, as this book is on the faster paced side. I feel it’s best you go in without knowing what to expect because sometimes you will find the best books that way.
If your a fan of fast paced, enemies to lovers stories then this book will be right up your alley. This book was full of drama, hate and a whole lotta loving. Be sure to check it out on release day.
YESSSSSS!!! Since I read Kisses and Lies I have been waiting for Kisses and Warfare!!! We met Blaze and Kat in Kisses and Lies, and I could not wait to see where TL would take their story!!
Blaze and Kat have undeniable chemistry! I was captivated by these two. Mrs Smith NEVER fails to bring us a storyline we are absolutely absorbed by and characters we can’t get enough of. Kisses and Warfare was unputdownable!!! I freaking LOVE Kat!! She’s a total bad@** and Blaze like Marcus grew on me!! He worked his alpha way into my black heart!
I applaud TL Smith on another EPIC read!!! I can’t wait for more!!!
This ended up being a really cute story with a little bit of of suspense but, what it really did was focus on the two main characters Blaze and Kat and of course Annabelle.
We loved Kat as she was a strong and independent women who was a single mom and a great one at that. We loved her from the onset of the story as she was mouthy and crass and one who knows how to use her women wiles.
Blaze- He was the MC’s Prez and brother to Marcus and both men were broken and hard a emotionally closed off until the one women that was meant to be theirs comes along and changes all of that.We loved the sexy and bruiting man and we loved seeing Kat challenge him at every turn along with making him feel something even if those feelings are confusing ones.
The chemistry between Blaze and Kat was off the charts !
Overall we really enjoyed the story that had a strong female character and one that was up to challenging the alpha man that she would loved to hate but, its quite the opposite. One of the things we loved the most about the story was Kat and her families dynamic and their closeness as there was so much love within that family to share with a couple of broken men Blaze and Marcus and make them feel loved and whole once again with the two sisters who stole their hearts….
As someone who has never read the previous book in this series, I was truly confused about the characters, plot, and even why I should care about these characters. Then I discovered that this is not a true standalone book. I definitely recommend reading the first book in the series, Kisses and Lies, so you can get a better understanding of the character’s past.
Now, let’s discuss the characters in this story. Kat is one super confident woman. I loved how easily she dealt with her relationships (or lack there of), being a single mom, and her job as strip club manager. The only time her confidence is shook is when she is turned down for a kiss by Exile MC president and bitter grump, Blaze Stone. With revenge in her heart, Kat slowly sets out to seduce Blaze in to her bed, with no other expectations. Blaze, on the other hand, has been burned by love before and can see commitment written all over Kat. I liked Blaze even though he is a big grump throughout the story. I thought Blaze and Kat’s fighting was adorable in an angsty way.
Overall, I liked this story, but it took me reading the previous book in the series, Kisses and Lies, to truly understand the characters in Kisses and Warfare and their crazy, connected world.

Firing on all 5 star cylinders!
I thought I’d hit the motherlode of reads when I laid my hands on Kisses and Lies, Rochelle’s and Marcus’s story, but no. Author TL Smith has upped the ante and rolled out Kisses and Warfare, and holy freaking crap, this enemies to lovers story is firing on all cylinders! While ‘Warfare’ is an absolute stand-a-lone, we did meet Blaze and Kat in the first book, so I can only recommend you double your reading enjoyment by ensuring you’ve read Kisses and Lies first!
Kat, Rochelle’s sister is one tough lady who verbally shoots first and asks questions later, a hot chick who even Blaze admits to himself is dangerous. I loved and identified with every aspect of her personality, from the defensive bullet-proof facade she showed, through to her penchant to not being able to keep her mouth shut even to save herself! Her only Achilles heel was her daughter Annabelle who came first in her life, and rightly so. I can easily say she is my favourite heroine to date.
What can I say about Blaze that communicates to you how much I admired him? This President of an MC, struggling to understand the change that was happening in his brother’s life, and in his own. He was so dark, so alpha and so astounded that some chick just up and showed attitude to him so easily! Kat had him on the back foot more often than not and it made for some witty moments. Even though he and Marcus didn’t understand love in a ‘normal’ sense, their family dynamic was growing and changing, and seeing Marcus and Rochelle moving forward in this book was icing on the perfect cake.
I could go on forever about how much I loved this book, but I doubt I could do a justice to the awesomeness that is Warfare And Lies. How TL Smith managed to pack so much chemistry into characters who hate and lust each other in equal measures is a mystery to me. All I can say is that I believe this is more than a 5 star book and highly recommend it to all and sundry! Seriously, just go and one-click it now!
From the moment I read the front page of this book, I knew I was going to fall in love. Blaze and Kat’s story draws you in from the beginning. Blaze’s character attracted me from the previous book, ‘Kisses and Lies’ and I wanted to know Blaze’s story.
Kat, a character that fascinated me. Her personality, her abilities to be alone against the world. From the first moment, I saw her devotion and love for her daughter. The desire to juggle between home and work. Especially that her workplace is not where mom should work. But nothing stood in her way. A strong hero who knows what she wants and is not afraid to back her up.
Blaze, the biker who exudes toughness, who lives every day as the last day. But does not abandon his comrades. one for all and all for one. how he protects who he loves. A broken heart could also be cured, and after his heart broke when he saw the woman he loved died he did not think he could fall in love again. But Kat comes. And not just with a package. A package that can affect your entire lifestyle.
Both come from different worlds, both facing difficulties. But, slowly they peel off the layers. You see the chemistry, you see the inner struggle of both. There is nowhere to escape when love enters the heart.
And as Smith knows how to write, the plot twists that unfold throughout the story are worth everything.
