Cary: My impromptu vacation before a job interview in Hawaii gets interesting when my best friend books me a “tour guide” for four days from Valentine’s Inc—a date-for-hire app. The guy he hired? Fei Li, an ex-classmate from high school and the guy who made me realize I was gay in the first place. Now Fei’s determined to give me my money’s worth, and I don’t know how I’ll be able to go through … go through four days of fake-dating with him and keep from sinking deeper into my infatuation. Don’t know if I even want to try.
Fei:
Past and present collide when a last-minute gig turns out to be my high school crush, the football team captain who once walked in on me with another player in the locker room. I’m determined to prove I’m no longer the angry, nerdy kid I once was—even if being around Cary Jackson makes me feel like a teenager all over again. I’m going to make our four dates rock his world, all without crossing the professional line I’ve set for myself after a disastrous slip in the past. This is all pretend. I’ve got to remember that. No falling for a client.
A standalone novella-length story in the Valentine’s Inc. universe about opposites attracting, missed chances, and new beginnings. 25,000 words.

This is sweet and sexy novella. I loved Cary and Fei. They both crushed on each other in high school but now meet each other after 10 years.
They are pretty cute and the sex scenes are super hot! Sprinkled with a bit of fake dating, this book is perfect for a light fun read. I mean there’s nothing I love more than pining!
First time reading this author’s work, will definitely check out more!
Sexy Paradise. In this latest Valentine’s Inc installment, we have a short and volcano-worthy second romance where two boys from North Carolina reconnect on Hawaii a decade after the incident (that opens the book) where one of them stumbled into seeing the other giving a third guy a blowjob in the locker room. The overall story is truly a condensed MM contemporary romance, with all that this entails – questioning, coming together, lots and lots of sex – much of it described in detail – and a HFN. Overall solid work, and I’m really hoping to see these two appear in future books from this author.
It’s not every day you get a chance with your “gay epiphany”, but Carey’s forced holiday just might be more than he could have dreamed when he sees his high-school crush pull in to pick him up from the airport. Finding out the tour guide is actually a hired four-day date? It could either be a disaster or an opportunity to be with Fei in a way he only fantasized about. As he and Fei give in to their attraction and their feelings begin to grow they have a chance to make something permanent, but only if they can overcome distance, past hurts, and confess what’s in their hearts.
This was incredibly sexy, very sweet, and so very good. I loved the idea of a second chance with an old crush that never got off the ground and this was done so well with enough of a conflict to pose an issue, but not enough to really threaten the relationship. With the story short enough to curtail some of the bonehead moves either man could have made, the focus was kept on the budding feelings and the surmountable odds that could keep them apart. Ugh, and the steam? FanTAStic. Carey was incredibly sweet and his heart was so perfect to balance Fei’s insecurities. I was in love with the couple from the word go.
This is a very cute story. Cary and Fei crushed on each other in high school – Fei is even the reason Cary figured out that he was gay. Unfortunately, the two never figured things out back then and went their separate ways. Now, due to a job interview and a prank by a friend, Cary and Fei run into each other again, this time in Hawaii. The old attraction is still there, but so is the less than perfect communication.
I liked these guys and was happy each time one of them made the other blush or smile. I enjoyed how the author made them both strong in some ways but still very vulnerable to each other. I love the Valentine’s Inc. series, and this book is a great addition!
Crystal Lacy proved a sweet Valentine’s treat. It’s an easy read and one that will easily put a smile on your face.
The main characters definitely had chemistry. I would have liked to see some more character development but I realize that’s hard to do in such a short read. The world building was really good for the length. I felt like I was in paradise.
Overall the story delivered on the premise. I wish it had some more angst; some push and pull between the characters. If the author extends the story though I’ll definitely read it.
4 stars for a sweet treat.
You know that feeling where you stand at the side line with your fist in the air, jumping and screaming “you go guys!!” to encourage them … and…. action!
I loved them both Cary and Fei…
Cary had a crush for Fei since… high school… since the locker room …
Fei had a crush for Cary since… high school… since and even before the locker room…
After a decade they meet again… Cary will go to Hawaii for a job interview and got a sightseeing trip as present from his friend… and the guide… yes Fei!
We are witness of a lovely, sexy and charming friendship… honest, funny and awesome to watch.
A loved the friendly, considerate and captivating and smoothly way of writing. I enjoyed it very!
