Ruby Ryan continues to awe me with her writing style. Kissed by Death is the 2nd book of the Gods of Death Trilogy and it sure has me enraptured!

This series is very creative, intense and some hot mixed legends. The chemistry between Beth and the four death gods are sizzling! I can’t wait to see what else comes their way!

I did genuinely like this series, and this author’s writing style. I feel it is a unique spin on the death gods….but to me, there seems to be something just missing in their reverse harem relationship. I just didn’t feel the chemistry between the main h and her and her “guys”. Still, I’m really glad I was able to read books 1 & 2.

How would you like to have those Greek, Egyptian, Irish Mayan and more be totally devoted to you. Well, Beth Carter has that with Thanatos and his beautiful wings, Anubis turning into smoke, Morrigan able to seduce any man or woman and Mictlantecuhtli (Mick) his brain. She tried to teach them all to shoot a handgun and that didn’t work out so well. This story mainly revolves around computer hacking. Its interesting to watch how these death gods adapt to everyday life. There was a little bit of sex in this story, but mostly kissing. Can’t wait to read and see where Beth goes on from here with Book 3.

I enjoyed this second book in the series. Fantastic mystery/thriller. A case of data theft gets more complicated and dangerous when Beth’s investigation is hampered by company insiders. The relationship between Beth and the four gods continues to evolve, and at least one of them has a hidden agenda. This book has some pretty humorous moments. There is romance and a bit of seduction, but it’s not scorching. Although I love Beth’s feisty heroine and the mix of different cultures/legends represented by the four gods, I hope it gets a bit steamier in the next book. Note, this book ends on something of a cliffhanger. I am looking forward to the next one.

Beth and her companions are still clueless over how she cheated death and no way for the four supernaturals to return to their world, if they even still want to. Now it’s back to work, so Beth and her four new “interns” investigate a cut and dried computer hacking break in that proves to be more than what it seemed. A nice little thriller that ends some what on a cliffhanger but at least a lot of questions get answered. Until the next installment…

The second book in the Gods of Death Trilogy the suspense and mystery of a corporate crime kept me turning pages. Looking forward to reading the next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
First Beth sort of stumbled into her career as a PI – then things got weird. And yes, things can get weirder than getting the dirt on cheating spouses, surprisingly.
An interrupted almost death moment leads to her meeting 3 Gods and a Goddess of Death.
Their connection in now very intimate, and the getting there was very steamy.
They managed to break up a nasty ring of baddies in their last story – and now there is a new case.
She gets asked for by name in an espionage / hacking case – odd since she has zero experience in those areas.
Can she complete her case, and keep some portion of her sanity and her self while dating Death?
Intense steamy paranormal action with spy stuff added for more amusing fun!
