A chance encounter reunites a hometown girl and the now-single dad cowboy who was her first kiss… Cowboy 1
He was her first kiss…
Only one thing could’ve forced Haley Carsten to return to her hometown—her beloved aunt’s failing health. Being home again stirs up painful memories of the high school best friend that died too young. When she meets a young girl who is the spitting image of her friend, Haley can’t help but feel an instant kinship. The one thing she didn’t count on was running into her high school crush—Maddox Michaels.
Maddox is a realist. There’s no place in his life for dreams, not when he has an impressionable niece to raise and a brother who’s lost his way. But when Haley enters his orbit again, he can’t help remembering those dreams that died alongside his sister—dreams like falling in love.
Can Haley resurrect Maddox’s heart, or have too many years passed since she was Kissed by a Cowboy?
Kissed by a Cowboy 2
Ever wonder what happens beyond happily-ever-after?
Haley wanted nothing more than to be a mom, but six months into this motherhood thing, she can’t remember sleeping through the night. She’s a mess. So is the house. And to make things worse, Maddox has a new coworker—a bombshell who happens to be single.
Maddox thinks the baby-rearing stage is easy. It’s nothing compared to finding out his fourteen-year-old niece has been sneaking out at night. Or trying to decipher his wife’s hot and cold signals.
When Livy disappears for the second time, everything that’s been boiling under the surface erupts. Will Maddox and Haley’s love be strong enough to survive?

A great start to the Heart of Oklahoma series! I enjoyed both stories in this quick yet heart stirring read. These well-written stories kept me invested from beginning to end. I loved Maddox and Haley and the way their relationship developed despite complications. They were totally relatable, realistic, engaging characters. The second story, which is a little deeper than the first, accurately portrayed real life reflecting the emotions and doubts of a new mother and the challenges of having a teen-aged daughter. The importance of communication in a relationship and especially in a marriage illustrated in this book is a life lesson we all can apply to our lives. I think you will find this read well worth your time.
Their problems will continue. The lack of communication was present in the first story and the second. I don’t ever think it’s cute. Why do you pretend your mate is a mind reader. He should or she should know. But I’m very obvious so I have to ask question. I’m also someone who takes time to process things so he asks and has me talk it out. I’ve gotten into the habit of sharing because he’s my best friend. I’m not naturally someone who shows their underbelly so I had to learn and grow for my relationship to flourish.
Wow! Loved it! So rewarding seeing a family overcome real life problems. Showing that people can overcome life’s problems with love and effort!
I chose several of the above by then they all disappear. This was a very good book. Something I really liked was having two sections. You had an epilogue for both. You actually have a story were you get to know what happened a few years after the couple get together. Very neat. Maddox had an amazing life in head of him until tragedy hits and changes everything. Haley had had quite the life, not in a good way and she had had a crush on Maddox her senior year. This was the unique story of the two. A standalone with an HEA!!!!!! Very good!!
Loved it!
Part 1: So often we let the failures and lies of the past define who we are in the present. This sweet “young love lost, mature love found” story brings together two awkward teens (Maddox and Haley) who stumble in and out of young love, only to meet years later with fresher, more mature eyes and hearts that can endure…if they can move pass the past. Part 2: Meet Maddox and Haley. Now married and in the midst of early parenthood. The constant trials of sleepless nights, dirty diapers and a wayward teenager threaten to break their marriage. Maddox and Haley learn that their greatest strength is when they tackle trials together, but there is a chasm between them a mile wide. Maybe some sweet, passionate Cowboy kisses will mend the breach. Great story and even better when read in the Kissed by a Cowboy 1 & 2 Heart of Oklahoma book set!
Great story. People with problems and family issues
A good read with realistic characters and situations
enjoy her books very much
Katie Went home to care for her sick aunt. She had a crush on Maddox since her senior year in High School. When she sees him again sparks and resentment fly.
Can they find love again?
Nice easy read
I enjoyed part one very much, but found part two frustrating. I could not relate to her reaction, I had two children and did not feel like her.
It was entertaining but no depth to it.
I read the first in the series and am looking for a deal on #2. I really enjoyed this story of a new family where one never thought there could be.
Enjoyable fluff.
Cute, maybe more for the younger set.
Super easy to read & relate to. I actually would reccomend the 2nd book to any new mom to read..
I love the plot. A good clean book
While the overall story of boy meets and gets girl, these two books are good reading with a little different twist on the story line. Sometimes reading just for relaxation is best.
I liked the story line and the characters. I would read more of her books.
