It seems that wedding fever has hit the little town of Marietta… And that suits single mom, Magdalena Davis, just fine. It means the local gossips will stop hounding her about returning to town and the secret she’s kept for fifteen years. Home to make peace with her sick mother, the last thing Mags wants is to get involved in Marietta’s big celebrity wedding. But when her teenage daughter … teenage daughter cajoles her into auditioning to sing with a local heartthrob, all her plans for flying under the radar zoom out of the window.
Country music singer, Jake Kohl, has lost his muse. He’s jaded from years of life in the fast lane and wants to settle in Marietta and lead a normal life. He reluctantly agrees to sing at the celebrity wedding, but what he doesn’t expect is his co-singer to reignite his passion. But it’s not just the music she awakes in him. Magdalena makes Jake feel and want things he hasn’t for far too long, but there’s more to her than meets the eye.
Can Jake solve the mystery that is Magdalena and win her heart?

Mags returns to Marietta, Montana when her mother becomes seriously ill. Will they be able to breach the distance between them? Throw in a celebrity wedding and a country singer who settles in town. This is an entertaining novella.
Beautiful
This was a bday story about overcoming the past and coming home to help family and find love. Mags came home with her daughter Bella to help take care of her mom. Jake needs a co singer for a wedding.
Very good storyline. All the main characters were written very well and with such a good subject matter.
Great read for the romantic.
Short book but not as entertaining as I thought it would be.
Love a rock star (or in this instance country music star) falls for regular girl romance. The backstory to Mags was well done, if a bit rushed. I would have liked to see more of how the family came to terms with the secret vs jumping right to the HEA epilogue, but over all an easy read with good characters. Parts of the plot area left unresolved like do the couple at whose wedding they ere gong to sing actually ever get married?
A sweet improbable romance with a tough of steam.
Repetitive, but sweet
Nice story… I love a happy ending but prefer a little more angst along the way,
I took a trip last night to Montana… Marietta, Montana my favorite fictional hometown. Seems the town has been hit with the wedding bug and yes this book has that and more. Mags or Magdalena Davis has come by home to Marietta after being gone for 15 years. She comes comes home because her mom is sick, cancer and brings her teenager daughter with her. Her daughter is getting to know her know her grandparents for the first time in her life. So many secrets to uncover in this book. One thing I loved is the closeness between Mags and her daughter Bella. Tighter than most and the love is so strong. Bella is the one who pushes her mom to try out or audition for the wedding singer part that Jake Kohl is looking for. Has to be a member of the town of Marietta. Boy was he blown away by what he hears. This is one of those books that had me in tears in parts and laughing in others. And I might have shouted out YES a time or two as well. Yes, There are a few minor editing errors but for me they did not take away from the spirit of the story at all.
It is a light read with nice characters.
A standalone read with a HEA. Kiss the bride is a little more serious than the cover implies. The tragic part is what happens to an innocent young 16 year old. that sets the story up but it is not a big part it is just referred to.
A young woman, 31, returns to her small hometown with her daughter, 15, to care for her dying mother. Having left town 16 years ago everyone is wanting to know who is the absent father. the hero is a local cowboy that happens to be a big time country western singer. They meet when she auditions to sing with him at a big celebrity wedding. it is a good story, entertaining and I definitely recommend it.
I think the singing contest was a really really cute idea..Throwing them together in a sensual music environment and falling in love was sweet.. Rarely in books do you have the characters be so open and honest in the beginning, this book was refreshing!
Enjoyed it and rooted for Mags throughout.
Very cute! Enjoyed the characters and all the drama.
Just ok
It was an ok read, I thought a little more heavy petting or sex would have been better, but I never thought of the reason given. Good job on that!
Shows that you can always go back home!
Just okay. Not great.
I like the writing and the humor and the story.
