Rough and tumble biker, Harold Jackson, has no interests beyond making sure his grandmother, MiMi, has everything she needs, stepping into the boxing ring every once in a while, and working his life away in his automotive garage, Jackson’s Auto. When a sassy little number walks into his life through an open bay door, Jackson doesn’t know what to think. Westley is witty, adorable, and has no … qualms about going head to head with him. Then Westley announces that he works for Valentine’s Inc. and has been hired to help Jackson jump back into the dating scene. Will he dig his heels in or open himself up to find out what he’s been missing?
Work, school, work, repeat. Westley’s life feels like it’s on a constant loop running from one job to the next trying to make ends meet and pay for his online classes. Being a dating specialist for Valentine’s Inc. isn’t the most steady work, but it’s always an adventure. Only he never imagined someone’s grandmother hiring him to woo her grandson out of his shell. Jackson isn’t like anyone he’s ever been on a date with, for work or pleasure, but he’s determined to help the rough man let out more of the tender side he keeps under wraps, even if Westley can’t keep him for himself.

This was a sweet low angst novella that perfectly captured the spirit of Love Day! Both characters were likable, the dialogue was full of sass and humor which made for cute romantic read that lifted the mood! I really liked that both men gave the relationship a chance and got to know each other well – no insta love here! It was well done.
Aw I liked this book lots. I love growly, I’m-gruff, mechanic and MMA fighter Jackson (muscles, tatts, all that jazz ). I love sassy, snarky, pastel-colours Westley, totally different but so endearing. I love how they are more similar in some ways than you – or they – would have believed. I like the side characters; MiMi (matchmaking imp that she is), cheeky Dane & Mal, motherly Sherry. I like the pace of the story – this series are mostly novellas, sub-100 pages so that’s a challenge to fit a believable story arc in without it feeling a bit “See Spot Run”. It’s a compliment to Michelle (and Jacki, author of book one) when I say I didn’t notice they were novellas initially. Nothing feels rushed or cut short, it feels like this is exactly the right length for the story.
Oh, and fake boyfriends? Always my fave.
A growly Jackson doesn’t know what to make of the stunning, effervescent Westley. With a meddling grandmother and open hearts these two men make a connection that was handled really well. They could feel something between them and didn’t let angst, misunderstandings, or miscommunication get between them. While keeping things professional during the contract’s duration they learned quite a lot about one another thus forming a foundation that spelled all kinds of solid believability for their future. Even when Jackson gets a visit from his past there were no second thoughts on his part, he believed in and fully embraced what he was building with Westley. Even though West had his moment of insecurity, he didn’t behave childishly, he waited until they were able to discuss things, even if he guessed that he’d get the short end of the stick. This was a fluffy, sweet, sexy story between men who definitely needed one another.
So far I’m loving the books I’ve read that revolve around Valentine’s Inc! Kiss Off was a sweet read without a lot of angst which was perfect for the theme of these books! I love the idea of a loving, meddling grandmother trying to find her rough around the edges grandson someone to love! I loved Jackson and Westley together and smiled all the way through their story! I highly recommend this short, sassy and sweet book!
I received an Advanced Reader Copy and am happy to voluntarily leave my review
What a cute book 2 in the series. Westley and Harold ( are you chicken) haha love this line, love the Harley and the Vespa. Well written and a good read.
Kiss Off was the perfect morsel on this snowy day! Right from the start I was captivated by Jackson and West! I loved the banter between these two. This is a low angst, sweet and sexy love story. The secondary characters add just the right amount of extra to this story. I loved watching these two get their HEA!
I absolutely adored this cute, sweet read by this author!! Jackson isn’t interested in dating but his MiMi wants him to find his happy. She hires a dating specialist from Valentine’s Inc to help Jackson get back into the dating scene. Westley is the specialist assigned to Jackson. There is an instant connection between the two. Feelings start to grow and they fall for each other. Their story made me chuckle, swoon, and my heart happy. This is a feel good romance that just ticks all of my boxes and I highly recommend it to all. Well done!!!!
I really liked Kiss Off. I thought the premise was different and funny. Jackson and West were sweet MCs and I thought their story was adorable. It was fast-paced and quick to get to love, but I thought it worked in this story. Definitely a very nice Valentine story. I would recommend this story.
