I have been waiting for Hawke’s story since reading about him in Slave to Sensation and it didn’t disappoint, I loved it. Hawke and Sienna’s story was everything I had hoped. Alpha Hawke had lost his mate when they were children and had never healed from that loss. Sienna is a Psy that had defected from the PsyNet with her family and was in hiding with the wolves. Having had feelings for Hawke for years and tired of his always running from her and his own feelings she decided to fight for him. While she breaks down Hawkes will to fight the draw between them the war with Pure Psy comes to a head as the ‘fractured’ Psy and the Changelings join forces in epic battle. Though this can be read as a standalone, the story is part of the Psy-Changeling Series and is better if read as such, each story bring adds depth and brings the bigger picture into focus making Ms. Singh’s written world come alive.
No Cheating, No Cliffhangers.
OH MY FREAKING GOD this book is pure awesomeness ,from start to everything In between to the finish it was totally amazing with and little extra zing in it.
Hawke is one of my favorite characters ever to have a book written about them ,I love him so much,he’s such a sexy alpha/kind hearted/amazing man and I love everything about him,i loved how he reacts to Sienna ,they have so much combustible chemistry it’s insane, they were made for each other,i loved how he ends up courting her ,that was such a great add to the story,i loved getting to know more about his background and learn more about what shaped him into the Alpha wolf he now is,i felt so bad for him because he thought he would never have have the mate bond with anyone , but thank god he ends up finding everything with Sienna :).
I love Sienna ,she’s such a great character and I loved learn more about her,i thought it was great how she kept trying to get to Hawke,it totally worked toomi thought it was so funny when he finds her dancing on top of a table and he tells her to get down but she doesn’t listen and he picks her up and carry her out of the bar,it was so great ,I loved everything about their story ,they are so amazing together and I was so happy that they get their own book 🙂 🙂 :).

‘Kiss of snow’ is the tenth book in the Psy-Changeling series and it’s a bit special. Because the focus of this story isn’t only on the romance between Hawke and Sienna, there is also another romance blossoming between Sienna and Judd’s older brother Walker and SnowDancer healer Lara! And then at the same time there is the long-awaited confrontation between the pure Psy (with councillor Henry Scott) against councillor Nikita and the Changelings that take place in this story too. So a lot is going on in this story!!
Hawke is the alpha of the SnowDancer (wolves) changeling pack. He’s dominant, powerful, strong, intelligent and ruthless when he has to be. His wolf is very close to the surface, with any other changeling that would be a problem and dangerous but that isn’t the case with Hawke. It just makes him that more dangerous and stronger and perfect for an alpha. Hawke became this way through a tragedy in his youth. He also lost his mate when he was a child, both events scarred him very deeply. That all makes that he knows that he isn’t a good guy for Sienna and there is also the fact that she is much younger than him too. But Sienna is not like other young girls her age, she’s a X-Psy. A very dangerous and somewhat unknown Psy gift/power. So dangerous that even her own kind is very cautious of her power.
It was great to finally get Sienna and Hawke’s story!!! I had been waiting for it for some time now but it was definitely worth it. The chemistry between both was strong and the developing of their romance was difficult and emotional at times but once Hawke made up his mind about Sienna, he and his wolf totally went for it! The fact that we also got Walker and Lara’s romance was an extra bonus. I was very happy that we again spend time with the changelings. It was wonderful to see all those familiar faces again from both packs. And to see them finally trusting each other and working together so well. And although there was a big fight in this story, as a reader you feel that the war isn’t over, there is still trouble coming. Even after ten books, I’m still enjoying this series very much.
It’s hard to imagine someone not loving this book. Sienna is fiery, intelligent, and absolutely loveable. Hawke sure finds that out quick as Sienna uses that bright mind of her’s to entice him and wow does the passion between them burn.
Hawke and Sienna have everything stacked against them, and isn’t that just the couple you want to make it the most! The Pack is in danger, Sienna’s old boss wants her dead or leashed, and she is in danger of literally flaming out at any second. Leave it to a wolf to decide to mate with a girl who has already reached her typical life expectancy! I love this one so much! Happy Reading!
Since Sienna Lauren defected from the PsyNet into the SnowDancer pack she has had one weakness, Hawke. Hawke lost his mate as a child and knows he will never have another. Sienna gets under his skin though and his wolf refuses to give her up.
The tension between Hawke and Sienna has been building since book one and we finally have their story! I should start by saying that I was a little leary about reading this book because there is a large age gap between Hawke and Sienna. I was concerned he would continue to treat her as a child but he doesn’t. I actually really enjoyed their steamy and intense relationship.
This book also had a secondary romance! Walker, Judd’s brother, and the healer Laura! These two were hinted at in Play of Passion but now we actually get to see them together. I adored this side romance. I really liked Walker. His past was quite fascinating and heartbreaking. Lara was a caring and strong wolf. She works herself into the ground to help her people, which I loved. Walker and Laura were the perfect match and I really wish we got more of them.
The confrontation with Pure Psy and the shifters finally happens. A war has started and I am really interested in seeing where it will lead, especially with the Psy council. The best part of this book was that Sasha finally has her baby!!!
This is one of my favorites in the series! I was pretty angry at Hawke at first with the way he was hurting Sienna with his actions and words. I get why he thought she was off limits but he just couldn’t let her go completely. While that is what helped to hurt her, it was also what I liked about him as well. It showed how much these two should be together.
Sienna was awesome. She reacted the way I wanted her too in these situations and ultimately she played a big part in helping him to see what he needed for these two to finally get together. Once that happened, I loved how everything played out.
We also get a side romance on the side with Lara and Walker. Bonus! Overall, I’m enjoying this series. I do have a few things that I don’t love, like all the pushing away in the beginnings. It’s the same for EVERY couple and when you binge read a series, it just gets to be too much. I hate pushing away anyway, so there’s that. But when the couples do finally cave, I really like how they are with each other. I’m also super intrigued how everything is going to end up with the Psy council.
Hawke’s book! Squee! I don’t think I need say more. Just… freaking wow!
Hawke’s book! OMG! He’s too stubborn for his own good!
************Spoilers***************************
I have been looking forward to Hawke and Sienna book since book one. Annnnd I was not disappointed. I knew going into this book that Hawke’s “mate” died when they were children and so he is not suppose to be able to mate again. As wolves only get one mate. So my only problem with this book was the confusion over Hawke and Sienna’s mating. I was prepared for Hawke to just love her or for him to figure out that Rissa wasn’t really his mate. I was looking forward to finding out which scenario it was going to be, but instead Nalini Singh’s just kinda glossed over it. Sienna and Hawke did mate, but he still talked about Rissa like she was his mate so wtf? Was Rissa his mate and because she was too young and they didn’t claim each other he got a do over?? Did I miss something as I was listening to the audiobook?(that could totally be the case as I had a house full of kids and I had to keep pulling my earbuds out to yell stop picking your nose, or kicking your sister, or breathing your brother’s air lol) I totally felt Hawke and Sienna’s love for each other, but the unanswered question about the whole mating and the following confusing left me feeling annoyed. Overall I still loved this book.
