“You with me, Second Commander?” “I’m okay,” he ground out. “We’re alive, so that’s a good start.” “We just crashed and you think that’s good?” “I’m an optimist.” – 47% Kiss of Eon
Kiss of Eon is book four in the Eon Warriors series by Anna Hackett.
Hackett keeps delivering exciting, entertaining, and spectacular reads. There is always something new to enjoy and keep you coming back and wanting more.
Allie is a human Captain who is desperate to get the Eon Empire to work with Earth in defeating the Kantos.
Brack is second in command on his ship and happy to cooperate, but one thing is certain he doesn’t know how to love.
I liked this couple. It’s a friends to lovers type storyline. They’re banter and comments where a lot of fun. As always there is non-stop action and when things hit the fan, Allie and Brack, work together beautifully. Their relationship is filled with emotional trials, betrayal, and death defying feats.
We continue to get new and interesting worlds to explore. At one point these two end up on a rogue planet. This setting is fun and kind of scary, but entertaining. There are a lot of fun and interesting secondary characters in the story and the bad guys, the Kantos, bug like creatures are a bane in everyones existence’s.
Kiss of Eon was another fantastic read in the Eon Warriors series. I can’t wait to read on.
Rated: 4.5 Stars
Kiss of Eon is the fourth book in the Eon Warriors series. Terran Captain Allie and Eon Second Commander Brack have a complicated relationship. They’re required to work together and learn from one another, but they drive each other crazy, or maybe they just want to tear each other’s clothes off. When the Kantos plot against the Eon and Human alliance, will Allie and Brack be able to work together, save the alliance, and find love?
This was such a fast paced book full of imaginative action, dangerous adventure, thrilling passion, and a bond that won’t be denied! Allie and Brack were a pro at trash talking one another when it came to their professional competitions, but that carried over to amazing passion outside of their training. I loved that they both had hurts from their past that lead them to not wanting a relationship, yet neither one could resist the drive of their desire. Allie was so strong and brave and I loved how scrappy she was at times. She didn’t like to lean on others, but also understood how to be a great leader for those around her. Brack was such a good warrior, one full of honor and integrity. He was a natural protector, and I loved how quickly Allie fell under his care. Every time I read a new book by Ms. Hackett, I’m just blown away by her imagination and the fresh horrors that the aliens bring! These bugs are no joke in this book, and I felt like I was on the edge of my seat with anticipation and excitement. I really enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to dig into the next in the series!
Fast and furious frenemies to lovers romance
Eon warriors kinda look down their noses at humans. Primitive, low-tech, weak, planet-wreckers (thank stars they’re not capable of leaving theirs) – Eons are So Superior! But the galactic menace, the insectoid Kantos, threaten Earth, and if Earth falls, the galaxy will go next. Eon-Earth alliance, here we are. Now Captain Allie Borden an d Eon Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis must take their respective starships and crews through the first-ever alliance-building joint war-games. These two are career military. Not diplomats. Not seeking love or anything related. But humans will do what must be done, and Eon warriors refuse to be out-done. So the Kantos stealth sabotage brings about effects opposite to it’s purpose, and the side effects? Spicy interstellar romance on steroids! Great characters with more than expected depth; a suspenseful, high-stakes hunt for a saboteur; and Anna Hackett’s trademark fast pacing make the fourth book in the Eon Warrior series a nail-biting good read.
I really hate bugs.
This series gets better with each book. I like Allie. She’s strong and intelligent and thinks fast and never hesitates to act. Brack is perfect for her.
Love Anna Hackett books!
Just finished this great book. Anything that Ms. Hackett writes, I will read.
She has a deft hand with her characters and the different types of world’s she writes about.
I Highly Recommend It!
Captain Allie Borden is tasked with working with the Eon warriors to keep the treaty with Earth. She has to work with sexy and arrogant Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis. While fighting for survival against the Kantos these two fall for each other.
I really enjoyed these two. Both of them are kick-ass warriors who won’t ever back down. These two started as enemies but that was just hiding their attraction. Their constant bickering in the beginning just built the tension between these two. I know I can always count on Hackett to have kickass characters with great chemistry.
“You’re beautiful, strong, a warrior at heart. And mine.”
I really liked Allie because she was resilient, smart, and was haunted by the death of her twin. She is my favorite kind of dangerous heroine. Their relationship was filled with emotional trials, betrayal, and death defying feats. These two really can face anything together. Overall, this was a great addition to the series and I can’t wait to read Jamie’s book. .
Reader Warning:
Heroine’s twin brother died of suicide (referenced).

My review
When two stubborn warriors must work together to fight evil aliens, will they find a common ground.
I am such a sucker for these Eons Warriors and those Terran women who make them fall hard.
And with this fourth installment, Mrs Anna Hackett does not disappoint.
Allie is a successful woman, she conducted her life in order to fulfill her twin brother dreams. Now she is captain, she has no time for an opinionated warrior who think Terrance are no match for them.
But they have a common enemy and in spite of being a headstrong being too, she soon realizes they must work hand in hand.
Plus she can’t deny she is strongly attracted to the one warrior infuriating her at every turn.
Brack is quite a bull-head, but soon he recognizes the value of Allie and accepts she and her crew might be an asset in their war against the Kantos. But will it be enough to let his past issues go?
Mrs Hackett has delivered an other couple of a strong woman and Her complementary mate. There are witty banters, plenty of actions, steamy moments but never her characters shy away from the challenge, emotional or physical.

This series is really a fun one to read with characters that are strong, smart and can really kick ass. Allie and Bracks’ story meets and exceeds these expectations with wall to wall action, lots of steam and two main characters that are just plain fun together. Enjoy!
Allie is the take no nonsense captain of the Divergent. She is not exactly chuffed at having to take part in exercises with the Eon. Especially not with the annoyingly handsome, sexy and arrogant Sub Commander known as Brack!
The crew of the Desteron are willing to engage with the Terrans, even if only to sneak a peek at their new allies. Brack and Allie remind me a lot of Audrey Hepburn and Spencer Tracy, there are sparks aflying and chemistry off the charts. If only they could stop arguing long enough to allow the attraction to bloom!
.They both have reasons for not wanting a permanent partner but Karma is fickle and it seems they are both heading for romance, whether they want it or not. I love this series so much. Witty banter, action-adventure, romance and a great deal of humour.
Good story. Loved the characters and the sexual tension between them. Would have liked the story to have been longer though. I thought the characters could have used more fleshing out. But the story was good and I recommend it.

This author is very good at giving her readers a friend’s to lovers story and this book is no exception. Allie is a human Captain desperate to get the might of the Eon empire to work with Earth to defeat the bug like Kantos that are doing their beastly best to invade Earth. Brack is second in command on his ship and whilst he’s happy to cooperate with the feisty woman who doesn’t know how to ever give up one thing he’s certain of and that is the fact that he doesn’t know how to love or does he ?
Expect nonstop action with this one and I really did like this couple. Allie is a woman prepared to take risks and poor Brack really doesn’t stand a chance. I adore the authors imagination but sadly the things Bracks symbiot can do just don’t really make sense. However if like me you can suspend disbelief and go with the flow then you will enjoy this fast paced story and its pretty obvious who is up next but for this reader it’s the King of Eon that is a tantalising treat the author keeps dangling.
This voluntary take is of an advanced copy and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
The Eon Empire thought people from Earth were inferior and ignored Earth for a long time. Now that the Kantos (bug-like aliens who want to use humans as a food source…) have set their sights on Earth and are attacking space vehicles from the Eon Empire as well as those from Earth, the Eon warriors are getting a better opinion of the people of Earth. They have had to work together and they are discovering hidden strengths within the human race that they hadn’t bothered to look for before. In this installment of the series, Commander Allie Borden is tasked with working with Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis to create some training exercises for both races. The humans have been fighting the Kantos for a while now, and are more experienced with creative ways to get rid of them. The Eon race has been relatively unscathed by the Kantos until recently. Now the Kantos are doing everything they can to keep humans and Eon people from working together.
Allie and Brack start out as adversaries. He thinks she is beneath his warrior status, and doesn’t think she has anything of value to teach a warrior like him. Yet, she impresses him and he begins to see the wisdom in learning from the humans. Like most of these stories, Allie and Brack end up getting marooned on a planet with the Kantos in hot pursuit. They have to fight their way through Kantos bugs as well as through mud monsters and geysers. They have to repair a crashed vehicle and make it fly again. Because readers expect an HEA ending, everything gets resolved in favor of these protaganists. There are multiple fights against aliens, which add excitement to the story; and there are many injuries that need healing. The warrior finally accepts that he has found his mate when his healian symbiont jumps over to protect her from harm.
These stories are exciting reads and there is plenty of action. There are a few predictable portions in this part of the series, but if the reader doesn’t mind this, the rest of the story pulls you in and takes you for a thrilling ride.
Disclosure; Completely done on a volunteer basis, this is a pre-release review of an E-Book via the author.
“Kiss of Eon” explodes with superb action scenes, gripping suspense, witty banter, quite a few life-threatening issues, unexpected moments, flaming sensual romance and a happy for always.
Allie and Brack have been butting heads from the moment they met. Their attraction to each other is potent, but both believe love relationships are taboo. Amid horrific perilous issues, fiery desires ripen between them. Before reaching their happy for always, both must let go of the personal demons that haunt them.
Thrilling imaginative read with a full cast of admirable characters. Allie faces danger head-on without question, and Brack proves to be a worthy protector. Brack and Allie’s chemistry is quite breathtaking; love them together. The author does a wonderful job mixing reality and fantasy in this story. I enjoyed everything about this read and look forward to the next Eon tale.
What an adventurous couple!
What a grand story this is! The Kantos continue their ever more innovative attacks on the Divergent and the Desteron. I love watching the abrasive interaction between Allie and Brack morph into something SO much better! I love Allie’s straightforward approach to life. She would never dissemble. Brack is also very direct. And he’s willing to take an order or two. Thrills, chills, and near death experiences lie ahead for readers. Not a dull moment in sight!
This can be read as a stand-alone, but it is best enjoyed when the series is read in order. There are so many reasons that I thoroughly enjoy this story. 1) the characters are engaging, with fully developed main characters and secondary characters that enhance the story 2) the world building is subtle and draws you in as the story unfolds 3) there is humor, suspense, and action to keep you hooked and unable to put the book down until you have read every last word 4) the romance is steamy and will definitely warm you up 5) the ending is satisfying with a HEA for the main couple and a hint at who will be the next featured couple
I wish there were 6 stars for this book! I loved it and read it twice. Allie is full of spunk with a spine of steel. But never say never! Lol. The authors imagination is formidable. The little mind control bugs gave me the shivers. Such a creative mind makes her books a joy to read. I received an advanced copy of this book and freely leave this honest review.
Life had taught Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis and Captain Allie Borden that relationships could be painful and harmful. But keep distance and avoid getting involved in the ways of the heart was more difficult than expected. And when lust, passion and danger surrounded them, exciting things happened. Joining forces against the Kantos and fighting for their lives catapult the protagonists to an adventure full of action, suspense, dreadful dangers with monsters right and left, violence and passion. Liked the simulations, their wittiness to face challenges, Allis’ strength and their torrid passion. An exciting, interesting and entertaining story that left me eager for the next.
I enjoyed reading this book, it has a great storyline. There is lots of action, intrigue and the chemistry and interaction between the characters, Allie and Brack is great. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
