Just one more kiss… (Milady, it’s cold outside)
Lady chemist Penelope Mitchell took England by storm with Duke, a perfume for men that has women swooning at their feet. To prove the same aphrodisiacal potency of her upcoming version for ladies, the new perfume must cause a rake to fall in love with her in ten days. And she has just the man in mind… Pringle—known as “Saint Nick” for his wicked ways—wants to end the absurd cologne that has every young buck believing himself a ladies’ man. How hard can it be to charm a spinster into changing her mind? But when Penelope does the charming, this rakish scoundrel must decide between losing the war… or losing his heart.

THis is the second book of this series that I’ve read, and I liked this one even more than the other. The characters were detailed and unusual, and plot development was good, even though the book is rather short. It is a happily ever after book (the whole series is). I have also read other Erica Ridley books, and they have something that is a little out of the ordinary, which make them more intriguing and hard to put down.
I like to read historical romance, they have a twist sometimes that is either hilarious or tragic. Never know what your going to get.
Enjoyed reading this. The characters were entertaining and kept my interest throughout the book.
Good story.
Typical “romance” novel, good read for just about anyone.
Fun to read
Her books are always good I really liked the chemist and rake combination. It was an enjoyable book, not her best, but entertaining.
I was very interesting couldn’t put it down
Short, fun book. I’ve enjoyed everything I’ve read by Ms. Ridley
Adorable, Wonderful & Romantic
I enjoyed reading this Novella. Penelope & Nick’s journey to HEA was Romantic. To think a woman in her 30’s who Loves science & refuses to give it up for a marriage is Admirable.
As for Nick, a man who feels he needs to hide his desire to create art then his group of friends are not ones he needs to be hanging around with.
I couldn’t stop reading this book, it was quite entertaining.
Great book didn’t want to put down
I was expecting something better from this great author
Excellent read.
Romance! Charming! Huge fan of the author’s Dukes of War series but the first book in this series was just meh so I’ve been hesitant to read more of the series. Read ‘Kiss of a Duke’ to return smiles and love back into your life!
This book is a hoot- great quirky characters and another Duke visits the town of “Christmas”
Chemistry vs Fated Love
Can a created scent draw in someone who would not otherwise be interested? That’s the question and the premise of Kiss of a Duke by Erica Ridley.
This quick read was very entertaining, however I knew from the start that I would need to suspend the realities of the Regency era. Still, I enjoyed my escape to the hamlet of Christmas in northern England. I liked the characters, the writing and the story.
Content 411: This book contains only a few mild expletives, some passionate kissing and a mildly described sexually intimate scene.
Ms. Ridley returns us to Christmas, with St. Nick and two turtle doves this go round. Of course, she redeems a rake and thaws a jaded heroine. It’s a light hearted story that made me laugh and smile a lot.
Biscuits for the Duke
This whole series is such fun to read. I especially like the Christmas theme. You’ll be reading along and if your paying close attention there’s something traditional about Christmas. Gloria makes the perfect friend for Penelope and Virginia is such a hoot. The best part for me was in the end when Penelope and Nicholas combined their hobbies. I thought the combination of the two was a lovely symbol of their love for one another. I have not read Virginia’s story yet but it is next on my list. I definitely recommend The Twelve Dukes of Christmas. Even though I’ve only read nine I’m confident in recommending all twelve.
Light hearted fun read Mills and Boone genre.
