As two neighborhood shop owners battle for business, they prove opposites attract in this “deliciously sweet and savory new romantic comedy” (USA Today bestselling author Abby Jimenez). Blaire Calloway has planned every Instagram-worthy moment of her cupcake and cocktails shop launch down to the tiniest detail. What she didn’t plan on? Ronan Knight and his old-school sports bar next door … Knight and his old-school sports bar next door opening on the very same day. He may be super swoony, but Blaire hasn’t spent years obsessing over buttercream and bourbon to have him ruin her chance at success.
From axe throwing (his place) to frosting contests (hers), Blaire and Ronan are constantly trying to one-up each other in a battle to win new customers. But with every clash, there’s also an undeniable chemistry. When an even bigger threat to their business comes to town, they’re forced to call a temporary time-out on their own war and work together. And the more time Blaire spends getting to know the real Ronan, the more she wonders if it’s possible to have her cupcake and eat it too.

Gahhh this book was good! I loved the sassy banter in this one. I giggled throughout the entire book. It was definitely a fun read and one I couldn’t put down! Helena did a fantastic job with making you fall for the characters from the very beginning. This book was just too darn sweet!
Such a feel good, lighthearted romance. Blaire Calloway is ready for her cupcake shop “Buttercream & Booze” launch but there is one problem. The shop next door is also opening and it’s not a peaceful shop! Oh no, it’s a axe throwing, sports bar owned by her new nemesis, Ronan Knight. Can these two opposites find a way to coexist and get along? If you love adorable and silly, enemies to lovers, romantic comedies then you are in for a real treat! Roan is as delicious as the cupcakes Blaire makes and I love it. Their banter and pranks will have you giggling. Grab a gourmet cupcake, your favorite beverage and prepare for a lot of fun! Told in dual POV
This book was adorable.
Ronan and Blaire light up every page, and their chemistry is beyond perfect. You can instantly tell that these two are going to hit every last feel. Their back stories, their hopes and dreams, their personalities, and their desires all make for a story that keeps you fully invested, and rallying for these two people to get exactly everything they want and need in the end. I’m in love with these characters, and I’m totally suffering from a sweet tooth in more ways than one! You definitely must read this book!
4.5 stars
This was my first Helena Hunting book, so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Although it was steamier than my usual romcom books, Kiss My Cupcake made me laugh and Ronan might just be my new favorite book boyfriend. He’s funny, sweet, strong, and covered in tattoos. (Smile) I loved Blaire as a MC. She’s a strong woman who is doing her best to really go for her goals on her own. She’s creative, cute, and feisty. I loved picturing her themed dresses. Together, they go from enemies to friends to…well you’ll have to read their story. I like romcoms that make me laugh and keep the story moving and this one definitely did that for me. I thought her family was over the top and unrealistic but it made for a really funny Thanksgiving experience. The character development was really great and I personally like books with his & her POV because you really get to know the characters better. Overall, I enjoyed the book and would consider reading another Helena Hunting book.
Neighbors first. Then rivals competing to be named as the best bar in the Pacific Northwest. Both have a reason to make it on their own and make their establishment a success. But when a chain bar opens across from them they put aside their rivalry to boost both of their small businesses by co-hosting events. Will it be enough to keep them both afloat? Who will win the best bar competition? And, most importantly, what happens when they find themselves under the mistletoe on New Year’s Eve at midnight?
I adored everything about this enemies to lovers romance! Blaire needs to prove to her family she can make her dream come true on her own, and Ronan needs to keep his grandfather’s dream and legacy alive. Their attraction is immediate and only put on hold by their rivalry. I adored watching them pool their resources to outwit the chain bar.
Blaire is so unique and extremely determined. Creativity and hard work are her superpowers. And, Ronan is a hunk and a half, yet also a sweetheart. He may get Blaire riled up, but it’s because he likes her . . . almost like kids in 2nd grade!
Kiss My Cupcake was such a fun and unique twist on an enemies to lovers romance and I guarantee you won’t be able to put it down once you start reading. So, grab your death by chocolate cupcake and either a unicorn martini or craft beer of your choice and settle in for this epic tale. 5 stars!

Kiss My Cupcake is a deliciously sweet, enemies to lovers romance with hilarious banter, a feisty heroine & swoon worthy hero that will keep you entertained (and craving cupcakes) from beginning to end!
I have to say this first: the only reason I gave this book 4 stars is because I felt like there weren’t enough chapters from Ronan’s POV. That’s a personal thing that I usually don’t like and has nothing to do with how I felt about Blaire or disliking her. It also has nothing to do with how funny, sweet, and oh so steamy this book was!
I enjoyed Kiss My Cupcake from the very first chapter. Blaire was charming and sweet but had a bit of a temper and fire when she was upset. She and Ronan start off on the wrong foot very quickly and from the beginning it was funny to see them spar with words. I laughed out loud so many times when reading this book! Helena is genius at creating super awkward moments for her characters that are absolutely funny to her readers. Blaire and Ronan had chemistry from the beginning and Ronan’s need to get Blaire riled up definitely made for some funny and steamy times. This was the definition of a slow burn but don’t think there some moments that’ll have you fanning yourself. It really made that moment that much better. And another thing about this book: I was rooting for both characters to win the “Best Bar” competition when I knew they couldn’t. I went back and forth a lot to be honest and they were both so deserving. I also liked that the bulk of the story took place at Blaire and Ronan’s bar. We got to see them in their elements and in each other’s too. When they started working together, I thought the book got even better although when they were rivals that made for some fun times in the book as well!
I loved Blaire so much! She’s one of my favorite heroines now. I loved that she had her own style but was so driven, hardworking, and a kind person. She genuinely cared about others and given her background, she was so humble. She could have taken the easy road and worked with her family and she never would had to struggle at all but she did because she wanted to do things her way. She wanted to make it on her own merit and who could ever fault someone for wanting that. Ronan was super sexy, smart, caring, and funny. I loved his relationship with his grandfather and the fact that he’d taken over at the bar when it became too hard for his grandfather to do so was endearing. He clearly had a head for business. Blaire and Ronan together were amazing and they worked well together once they decided to put their differences aside.
I also loved that both Blaire and Ronan’s family were in the book. It was fun seeing them each meet the other’s family and those interactions were pretty good. Blaire’s family is crazy and I won’t say anymore since I think everyone needs to read it and find out on their own just how quirky and crazy her family was. Ronan’s family was sweet and they were all close despite the losses they all had to endure. I liked Lars and Daphne as well. I really enjoyed this book so much and it was a fun read! I’m ready for the next book by Helena already!

Kiss My Cupcake, a standalone opposites-attract romantic comedy, was a deliciously sassy and sweet romance, and exactly the lighthearted and fun distraction I was hoping it would be. Helena Hunting knows her way around endearing characters, and she gave her readers two who were easy to fall for in Blaire, the quirky, modern-day-June-Cleaver, cupcake baker, and Ronan, the tatted, plaid-wearing lumber-jerk.
Blaire and Ronan may have gotten off on the wrong foot, but the chemistry crackling between them was as thick as the buttercream on one of her cupcakes. Slapstick-style pranks and Hunting’s witty humor pair perfectly to fill out the comedy portion of this romance. When the competition between this couple shifts focus and Blaire and Ronan team up against a bigger rival, the sparks really begin to fly. The build-up of this relationship along with the undeniable attraction burning between Ronan and Blaire made me giddy, and I absolutely adored all of the wonderful supporting characters.
Low on the angsty drama but high on the sweet, steamy romance, Kiss My Cupcake was hot and humorous and full of sweet, happy feels. Engaging, entertaining and amusing, and I polished off this easy-to-read treat with a smile on my face. Helena Hunting’s Kiss My Cupcake gets 4.5 smooches from me!

Helena Hunting made me fall in love with two delightful characters with great back stories of how they got to where they are now. They unite to forge a new path together and fall in love along the way. The hate/teasing/rivals to falling for each other trope is a favorite of mine and this one 100% delivered!

Super fun and witty with just a little angsty tension thrown in; Kiss My Cupcake makes for the perfect light and easy read.
Enemies to lovers rom com with a little bit of bedroom .
I want to be chowing down on some bourbon bacon cupcakes while sipping lemon drop martinis in adorable unicorn martini glasses with a frustratingly handsome lumberjerk thrown in for eye candy!
This book was a good solid read. I’d totally try another future book by this author!
