It was one small kiss. After all, a kiss is just a kiss.Or is it? After a passionate and empathetic kiss, dude ranch wranglers, Charlotte “Charlie” Randall and Zack Harris, are out of sorts as they pretend nothing happened. With too many demons to battle, Zack can’t let Charlie get close. But it’s too late, because she’s fallen hat over spurs for the handsome military veteran turned cowboy. Taking … veteran turned cowboy. Taking a job in another state is the only way to protect her heart and finally move on.
But Zack can’t let her leave, so he concocts a plan to find Charlie a boyfriend–a perfect match–to keep her in Montana. Until he realizes the only cowboy he wants her with is him. But it might be too late. Has Charlie made up her mind to put the kiss in the past and forget the cowboy who rode off with her heart?

Marietta, Montana is my hometown. Well, my fictional hometown anyway and since November I have been reading anything I can find new and old books to tide me over during these times. This book is based at the Bar V5 Ranch and it pits Zach and Charlie against each other. I say pits because there is this chemistry between these 2 and always has been but Zach fights it. Plus add in they work together and he is a vet with PTSD issues. This is one of those books that I have read more than once and each time something touches me. I think it has something to do with the fact that I come from a family of veterans and have seen PTSD first hand. If you are familiar with Marietta you will know some of the characters in the story and that makes this book feel like you are at home looking at good friends.
So hard to put down. Loved both characters. Loved the development and the ending. Great book.
A very sweet story that kept my attention from beginning to end!
Quit reading about these loser people. Neither character was engaging.
This is a short book but it was still a bet good read.
I love a good romance but lately I have enjoyed cowboy stories. The three of these built around Marietta are loved by me and a few ladies in my reading circle. Good writing, good build and great characters. If you like rodeos and the riders you’re going to enjoy the three in this from three authors.
A joyful quick read! Great cowboy romance novel!
Family
Zack has a rule about not dating co-workers, Charlie has been a good friend and there is a chance she will leave the ranch. She missed him first by the river 2 years before but he was upset about a army buddy who died. Now he has to convince her to stay and for himself to let her in.
Love all my cowboys!
A well written perfectly paced story pulling you in from the start. Cowboys and a dude ranch you cannot go wrong. This story is about Zack trying to keep Charlie working at the ranch because she is so good with the horses. It is really a family without being blood related, all having each others back.
very nice story
In the middle of it..so far it’s good..
Good book. Some of the plot seemed drawn out.
A great read. Very different. Romantic.
Bar V5 Ranch Book 3: KISS ME, COWBOY by Melissa McClone was a delightfully entertaining story filled with romance, humor, mystery and adventure.
This was a sweet, easy read. Enjoyed it very much.
Good clean reading!!
Great pool reading
I thought this was a really cute story, Charlie starts out with lots of humor and has almost a horse whisperer way about her. No written cuss words, even when they cuss, no sex scenes yet it’s romantic! Going to be fun reading about the rest of the wranglers!
I loved it! Caught myself reading it every chance that I got. The characters and story are great and keep you interested.
