Welcome to Willoughby Close… a charming cluster of cozy cottages, each with a story to tell and a happy ending to deliver… offered her a much-needed security that has now been ripped away. She’s not sure what to do now that she’s thirty-five, widowed, penniless… and unexpectedly pregnant with her late husband’s child.
Jace Tucker is the over-the-top sexy caretaker of Willoughby Manor, and he can see beneath Ava’s glamor girl act to the hurt she’s been hiding for so long. She has secrets for a reason—and so does he. The last thing she needs right now is a fling with a man who hides a past as regrettable as her own.
But with a baby to think about, and neighbors determined to be her friends, Ava finds herself starting to change and even more alarmingly, beginning to hope. Can Willoughby Close work its everyday magic on a woman like her? And when the past comes calling for both her and Jace, will they have to answer for their previous mistakes?

Loved the whole series and wish thete were more!
A happy love story
I enjoyed reading this book very much. There is such a wonderful thread of hope running through the story line – it kept me engaged and interested. I had trouble putting this book down when I had to. I really liked all the characters and felt they each contributed something unique. This book is a very “feel good” read without any sex scenes.
Really enjoyed this book!
Widow of older man, who left her almost penniless, discovered she was pregnant.
Makes new life, new home, new love. Enjoyable read.
Very enlightening story of a young widow who is turned out to the cold so to speak when her older rich husband dies leaving her almost penniless. She finds a cozy little place to live with 3 cottages and starts learning how to make friends and take care of herself with more than just her ‘female wiles’. Cozy and heart warming and written with respect and romance together! Loved it!
A lovely story with interesting characters with nice characters arcs. I really enjoyed it and finished it quickly.
Cute little romance in a series.
It tells a story of starting over and leaving the past behind. Finding out about who you really are and changing some of the things you don’t like about yourself.
I enjoyed it. Though I feel the book could be less wordy and too repetitive in areas. I liked that not everyone was cured of illness and not everything was happily ever after. It was more true to life. With Lewis learned on how to handle situations rather then peaches and cream. I did enjoy reading about several lives with how they continued on with improving themselves. Along with helping one another. I would recommend reading this book. There is much to learn from this without having to read self help books. Out is also a learning experience.
Simple sweet easy read.
Enjoyed the story line of this novel. It is more than a quick read romance.
It’s a book about real people and real life. There wasn’t a surly turned hero billionaire to save the day. A nice change.
I read the whole series! Very real life characters. Easy to relate too. Sweet stories that make to want to visit Willoughby Close!!
I found the ending to be “abrupt”, making me want to continue with the next book in this series – to see where the author was taking the characters.
enjoyable
I was sad it ended.
Great characters in a lovely, uplifting story
This was a very interesting read. Life in England is very challenging for those who are not high up in society as evidenced by your character’s depiction.
So much fun to watch the characters reveal why their life experiences make them the way they are. Looking forward to reading more in the series.
A fun read with great characters. Light and entertaining.
