WANTED: ROOMMATE. Must be tidy, polite, and absolutely not my brother’s hot as sin best friend. I have no idea why I said yes.Maybe I’d had one too many wines. Maybe I’d done it accidentally. Maybe I’d been sleep-texting.One thing I know for sure is this: I absolutely do not want Ethan Hawkins in my apartment, up in my business, taking over my space. Yet he’s here. Moving his stuff into my spare … his stuff into my spare bedroom. Sending a wave of panty-melting, musky man-scent my way every time he walks past me.
Here’s the thing.
We don’t get along—at all. We never have, and I don’t think we’re going to start now that we’re under one roof.
There’s also that little issue where I’m kinda, sorta, totally in love with him…
Uh-oh.

Ava Parker needs a roommate to help with the rent. Ethan Hawkins is Ava’s brother’s (Leo’s) best friend who needs a temporary place to stay while deciding on his next nomad journey.
The story is from both Ava’s and Ethan’s POVs. I like the writing – clear, concise, and with a lot of hidden implications that got me snickering like there’s no tomorrow. It is a cute plot BUT it got a bit too much. It’s not what a 25-year-old working woman would do…or would she? I did not like how juvenile Ava acted in many scenes to “repel” her feelings for Ethan. After all the pranking was over and Ethan and Ava started to understand the situation and each other better, things got a lot better. Good thing it was a little more than half of the book by the time they got over their frustrations.
I love Ava’s and Ethan’s love-hate intensity that gets them both more attracted to each other…a bit weird, but the feistier the fights, the more they start feeling. It was a complex emotion to have, but something was up that either one didn’t want to “disclose” for fear of wrecking their relationships with Leo.
In summary, Kiss Me Again is for readers who love their enemies to lovers genre with a twist of pranks and a pet hedgehog to match. Though for me, this book would be the least favorite among the three books in the series due to the juvenile, passive-aggressive pranks section that didn’t seem to match the age and maturity that Ava and Ethan are supposed to exude. The redeeming part is how things turned out in the end that worked out that won me back to the series.
This was funny in parts, cute in a very select amount of parts, and annoying.
The MCs kept saying in their narrations that they were in love with the other, which didn’t make sense to me. We don’t see anything from before Ethan moving into Ava’s place and their entire relationship doesn’t seem like it was ever anything more than bickering from a safe distance. How that can be the basis of being in love with someone, I don’t understand.
This was part of a series I’m assuming because there were 2 female friends and 3 male friends and I couldn’t keep track of who was with whom and who was related, which was very annoying.
In the very beginning, the main characters stumble upon an unconscious woman and she is sent to the hospital. We later that she is doing much better, but nothing else. What was the point? Is it part of a story arc in another book?
I never connected to anyone. None of the main or side characters. It just didn’t pull me in despite the funny, quirky bits that were endearing.
Overall it was funny and realistic, but the characters were flat.
This series is so cute I loved how all 3 best friends got a story. Ava is my favorite the quirky character she is super sweet and funny and totally head over hills in love with her brothers best friend Ethan.
Ethan needs a place to stay for a while him and his best friend Leo are travelers they like to move around a lot but Leo wants to come home for a while and only got a one bedroom apartment so that means Ethan has to share Avas apartment his best friends little sister and his long time crush. Can he live with Ava and not share his feelings? He refuses to destroy his friendship with Leo over his little sister even if he is in love with her.
Ava and Ethan get in a hilarious passive aggressive war. Who will win? And will they tell each other their feelings?
I loved this book all the other characters from the other two are here as well I wish it was a little longer.
I really enjoy Emma Harts books I will read more of her. The books in this series just flowed. It was hard to put them down.
My fave of the 3 ladies. I was evil laughing throughout with their little war lol. I also love Doritos tee hee. I truly hope we see more of them.
This is Ava’s story. She has had a crush on her brothers best friend for years. Little does she know that Ethan has crushed on her as well. He moves in as he needs a place to stay. Their passive aggressive pranks are amusing and watching them find their love was sweet.
Perfect ending to an awesome series. This one up was Ava and Ethan. Frenemies forever so what could go wrong when the become Roommates? The art of war followed by the art love. Great characters and great times with Mr. Prickles.
I have grown to love the quirky heroines in the author’s books and Ava is no exception. The third of the “Kiss Me” series follows in the footsteps of the first two, showcasing a mismatched (or are they) couple. I liked the interactions between Ethan and Ava, especially their prank war, but I felt like the conflict that kept them apart went too long. Still, I love the author’s style of writing, and will always look forward to the next story from her. For a detailed review, please visit my blog at Fireflies and Free Kicks Fiction Reviews. Thought the main characters were too childish and the story didn’t move along.
Not one of her best books
Ava has just made the biggest mistake of her life. Yep!!! Big mistake!!! Letting her crush aka brother’s best friend move in was a colossal mistake. It hasn’t even been a full day and she is ready to tear him to pieces.
Ethan knew he should find somewhere else to live, but he thinks he can make this work. Yes he has the hots for Ava, but she is totally off limits. But it has only been a few days and his dick is already torturing him on a daily basis. The calluses on his hand are growing by the day.
What do you do when you live with your crush? Find out when you read this freaking amazing book. I mean it. This is the rom-com of the year.
Oh my GOD!!!! This has got to be one of the best books in the Kiss Me series. I laughed so hard. I loved every single part of this story. By far my favorite.
I love the characters in this book. Ava and Ethan are perfect for each other. The chemistry between these two was off the charts. And Ava’s brother is a dirty trickster. But a brilliant trickster. Not to mention we get to see our favorite characters from the other books. Always a bonus in my book!!!
This book is a wonderful rom-com full of snarky fun and cute pokey animals. The characters bring it alive and make it a very energetic read. The story flows smoothly and doesn’t have any lag. There is never a dull moment with this laugh out loud, sexy as sin story. I think I am crushing hard on Ethan.
Do you remember when your parents told you” that boy/girl that keeps picking on you is doing so because they like you?” Well it might have taken years to discover your parents were right, but somewhere down the road you did discover…THEY WERE! Emma Hart definitely put a story together to make us think about those days when she penned Kiss Me Again. But if you have read Emma, you know that while the story keeps you enthralled, Emma minces no words.
Ava and Ethan are polar opposites that end up living together. There are times when all the stars fall in place and then there are times when the stars fall out of the sky. This story kept me wondering which action was going to happen from page to page.
Suffice it to say Emma had me laughing at and with these two. Not sure where she gets her humor or her ability to immerse me in the story, but I could see and actually hear the characters speaking. They are real, genuine and dealing with today’s issues to the best of their abilities. I could not help but cheer them on in one minute and wanted to shake them and say WAKE UP in the next.
Yes, it is that kind of story and that kind of fun, and Emma Hart, I am so happy to say all the stars are not enough for this great job you have done.
This is the conclusion to the Kiss Me series by Emma Hart and is just as funny as the first two. Ms. Hart writes with such wit and her characters have such sass that it just makes me want to laugh out loud – which could be problematic when I’m reading at work. Ava has been in love with her brother’s best friend, Ethan, for as long as she can remember. When her brother, Leo, and Ethan return to their home town after a couple of years away, Ava agrees to let Ethan be her roommate to help out with the rent. It doesn’t take long for Ethan and Ava to start their bickering, which soon turns into roommate wars with numerous pranks. Ethan knows there is nothing he can do about his attraction to his best friends little sister, but somehow the message didn’t get to his dreams. When Ethan kisses Ava he knows that he can never go back, but he also knows that Ava should be off limits and tries to block her out. Needless to say, that didn’t work for either of them. I took one star off as there are still the same careless errors, typos and completely wrong words that should not have made it passed proofing.
I think this one is my favorite of the series. You will laugh so hard with Kiss Me Again. I love the roommate wars that goes on between Ava and Ethan. They way they fight is their form of foreplay. It just puts a big smile on my face watching Ava and Ethan fight their attraction. Ava doesn’t hold back on anything and I love that about her. Of course you’ve met her and her lovely core of besties in the first 2 books. Ethan is this off limits brothers best friend that she has loved/hated from afar. I love Ava’s brother and his little push he gives Ethan and Ava without them realizing. Ethan is sweet and you can just tell he’s been fighting making moves on Ava for ever. You will just fall in love with Ava and Ethan over all their antics in this one. I couldn’t put this one down at all.
This is book3 in one of the most entertaining series I have read this year!
Spiky piglet OMG!!! I love this pet and his owner!
Love the story ! love the characters!
Kiss Me Again is the kind of book that should come with a warning- “do not read in public”. I found myself laughing out loud, tears rolling down my cheeks because this book is hilarious, funny and steamy!
I have loved Ava from book 1 and I couldn’t wait to. Read her story! I mean she had a crush for her brother’s best friend forever EVER!!
Ava and Ethan are going to push each other to the limit, to the unthinkable but I loved the ride, I loved their chemistry and the banter , jeez, their are the best!
They are going to push each other to the limit, to the unthinkable but I loved the ride, I loved their chemistry and the pranks, jeez, their chat is the best!
Ava has a serious case of word vomit every time she opens her mouth. I’d say that she should install a new filter, but it’s too damn funny. This quirk of Ava’s endears Ethan, but the man cannot catch a break with her. Of course, Ava is always WAY TOO QUICK to judge…. so his stay was meant to be for 3 months …. he uses her Netflix … yup this is a recipe for disaster! Or is it??
Prepare for lots of crazy banters between these two: romantic comedy at its best
I’m sad to say that this trilogy didn’t end on a high note like it started. It’s not that I didn’t enjoy Kiss Me Again, but I couldn’t connect with Ava. Honestly, she annoyed me just about through the whole entire story. I loved the romance, Ethan was a fun character, but it was just missing something for me.
Ava has had a crush on Ethan for quite a few years, but this has kind of turned into hate, because Ethan is her brother’s best friend. I did like this awkward situation. It’s fun seeing her try to be upset with him, when that’s far from the truth.
Ethan isn’t one to settle in one place, but staying with Ava for awhile wasn’t what he pictured. I enjoyed Ethan’s character. He seems pretty easygoing and works hard. He also scored points with me by having a pet hedgehog. Not something I see often in books. I have to say I would’ve liked more chapters from Ethan’s POV. I couldn’t completely connect with him, because I didn’t feel like I knew him.
Ava and Ethan pranking each other was definitely funny and it was interesting to see what they would do next. My favorite part about this was asking the other’s sibling what they could do to annoy the other. It was clear they had a soft spot for each other, it just took them awhile to admit it.
All in all, this trilogy was a lot of fun. If you’re looking for feelgood books that leave a smile on your face, definitely pick these up. Also, we get to read about the characters we met and loved during the first two books. The raccoons are still may favorite! I can’t wait to see what this author does next.
This is the third book in the Kiss Me Series but can be read as a stand-alone. Emma Hart is brilliant and should be dubbed THE queen of rom-com. Her sense of humor and overall writing style is quick witted and perfectly developed to create these amazing stories that touch the heart yet leave the reader, literally laughing out loud. Kiss Me Again is a light-hearted, fun read that just hits home. Loved it.
Thank you to @socialbutterfly_pr for this ARC. #KissMeAgain was read and reviewed voluntarily.
Five LOL stars for Ava and Ethan !!!
First, I must say that I really enjoyed reading this series and I’m so sad that it is over because Emma’s writing style is amazing and her rom-com books are one of my favorites.
She always makes me laugh with her books, characters, and storyline, which is the reason why is she one of my top rom-com and must to read authors.
What I love the most if this book (except a lot of fun) is that this book has brother’s best friend and best friend’s sister tropes.
Ava and Ethan’s relationship is slow burn because they hate each other, but that is not real hate.
Deep inside they have a crush on each other, but as you know best friend always comes first before friend’s sister.
If you’re looking for a rom-com book that will make you laugh so much and it also has a brother’s best friend and best friend’s sister trope, then this is the book you need to read next!
It’s no wonder that Emma would save the best for last. I absolutely loved Ethan and Ava. When Ava decides she needs a roommate the last person she wants moving into her spare bedroom is her brother’s super hot best friend. Well that’s only cause she would much rather be sharing a bed with him if the truth be told.
The fact that Ethan and Ava have been involved in a platonic fashion for years and the fact that they are both convinced that they don’t particularly like one another makes their story that much more enjoyable. The push and pull of these two makes for a great story.
In true Emma Hart rom-com fashion we get all the sass, swoon and eventually that sought after HEA. Let us not forget the several laugh out loud moments, catching up with the other couples from this series and Ava’s scene stealing hedgehog.
If you haven’t read this series you are missing out. Looking forward to seeing what Emma will deliver next.
Another hit from Emma! I tend to love the quirkiness of all Emma’s characters, but I think both Ava and Halley from this series take the cake for me because they are hilarious! Ava has been in love with her brother’s best friend for years, and unbeknownst to her, Ethan has been in love with her for quite a while as well. With a little pushing from Ava’s brother, Ethan and Ava find themselves as roommates while Ethan plans out his next move. Another aspect in this story that I love is Ethan’s pet hedgehog, which Ava is practically terrified of. It really provides another extra level of comedic relief throughout this storyline and adds to the charm! While the pair navigate being roommates, they can’t help but battle each other through who can hit the other with the most petty, childish prank that is hilarious over how simple yet silly they are. The joke ends up being on both of them when their feelings come to the surface and they’re unsure what to do with it out in the open. The epilogue was also hilarious to me because we get a little insight into what happened after the series to not only Ava, but also the other girls. I loved this series and wish we could continue but all good things must come to an end!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This story. Wow!!! These two are truly a force to be reckoned with… when facing off against each other . Whether it’s a passive aggressive war, or them getting all out down and dirty, these two know how to succeed. They had me cracking up throughout most of the book. Throw in some great advice from their friends, and it just gets better. I enjoyed catching up with the secondary characters, who were just as entertaining in this book as they were their own.
A fun, laugh out loud, enemies to lovers read I would definitely recommend!!!
