As they search their new surroundings for Kip, they realize things aren’t what they thought. And now they’re being hunted. All … what they thought. And now they’re being hunted.
All Ypsilon cares about is her gang, her boyfriend and having a good time. But when two strangers come to her for help, she’s forced to choose between her comfortable life and doing what’s right.
And man does that piss her off.
Can Adal and Arija trust Ypsilon and her gang of crazies or will she throw them to the wolves?
“When I first met Ypsilon, I knew I was going to love her. Her bada$$ery and quick wit makes her a loveable character, with enough vulnerability and stubbornness to round her out as a completely believable character.”
“The imaginative world that this is set in masterfully created. Hop on board and start this now!”
“This book is almost like playing a video game, with cool action, great world building and kickass characters.”

Kip and the Grinders takes you on a fast-paced, epic run through Taraveil, a futuristic dystopian where a public execution is an everyday happenstance. The characters are epic, snarky, and lovable, featuring your normal steampunk teenagers, a robot kid from another world, a bunch of whip-smart Grinders (think tech-savvy gangsters) and so many more.
Recommended for lovers of YA steampunk and cyberpunk, or those seeking a thrill ride with anti-heroes.
this book was a wonderful read Full of funny situations, suspense and World creation That will hold you captive.
Kip… Is A character That do whatever he wants and never asks questions before. Do you know where That Would lead The action? Yes to A situations where everything is possible!
Ypsilon – she was a character That was my main interest as I Saw what was going on There!
Loved The book. I devoured it during one sit!
Kip is literally the literary version of “don’t be that guy”. He’s now landed role in a whole new world with whole new problems! He also landed on a hard core smartass to top it off! This book is a perfect balance between humor, action, and a little ” how you doin’! “. Amazing job! A definite must read!

The sequel to ‘Webley and the World Machine’ in Zachary Chopchinski’s Hall of Doors Steampunk adventure series is an action-packed, highly entertaining adventure story that features Adal, Arija and their friend Kip, a Dweller of Webley’s World Machine.
This story is set in Taraveil, another of the worlds that lie beyond the doors in Webley’s Hall of Doors. Once again, Chopchinski’s world building is complex and detailed, full of fascinating technology and diverse, colourful characters. Rich sensory detail adds texture and dimension to the various settings and environments in the book, complementing the action, characters and complications of the story.
Snarky and confident, Adal and Arija meet their matches in Ypsilon and her Grinder compatriots. Through conflict, danger and the formation of unlikely alliances, the integrity and loyalty of each of the central characters is tested as the story progresses.
Just like Adal and Arija, Ypsilon, Sasha, Van and Masa are characters that young adult readers will relate to. They are strong and flawed, passionate and vulnerable, smart mouthed and profoundly loyal to their own.
Chopchinski’s writing is edgy and descriptive, in keeping with the story and the world in which it is set. The story moves at a good pace, keeping the reader and their imagination fully engaged.
‘Kip and the Grinders’ is fast paced, distinctly original steampunk fiction that demands to be finished once started.
This is an awesome book to read and the author is one of my favorites. When I read this story I feel like I am living it instead of just reading it like alot of authors stories. I highly recommend this book and series to everyone who wants to read an awesome book by an awesome writer I loved it.

A riveting adrenaline rush that will keep you pumped up and flipping the pages as fast as you can! The story is fast paced and packed full of action, thrills, and some long-awaited romance. The new world has old favorites crossing paths with new characters such as Ypsilon. She is epic and her rebellious, edgy, and fierce personality is sure to win you over while teaching you the art of insults and comebacks. Not only is the World Machine and the Hall of Doors amazingly complex, but it branches off into all these even more diverse and fascinating worlds and adventures for the characters. I love the mixed genre feel of this series and can’t wait to see where the next door leads!
It was awesome to rejoin Kip, Adal, and Arija in a new adventure! The last was steampunk. This time, they enter a new world of cyberpunk and team up with a fantastic grinder named Ypsilon (pronounced ip-sill-on) in a world where the ‘criminals’ are the good guys and people in charge are pure evil.
If you’re a fan of snark and characters that feel real, this book is for you. The characters are well fleshed out and the world is fascinating. I loved that we get some much loved characters in a brand new setting. Lots of fun to be had!
The Hall of Doors books can be read out of order, but I’d definitely recommended reading Webley and the World Machine first to really appreciate Kip and the Grinders!
This is a fantastic series that is full of thrills and unexpected twists and turns. I was surprised more in this book than almost any other story I’ve read. The imaginative world that this is set in masterfully created. Hop on board and start this now!
Well Kip has gotten them into another blast of an adventure as they chase after him to bring him home. The new world they have landed on is warring itself so of course Kip lands right where he can get in the most trouble. The excitement stays at an all time high as you would expect with him involved and of course the duo are there to bring him home with a few surprises of their own. Kip makes some good friends in the meantime.
Great adventure still a clean with some kisses read so good for 13- 15 and up. Love this author and his ability to keep it clean and fresh with tons of fun and adventure. The imagery is amazing and makes you feel like you are smack dab in the middle of the action. Loving this series.
