As war looms between the two species, the Demon Lord is determined to find Annabelle – little does she know, the truth behind his sinister actions is about to unravel. When Annabelle discovers that she is not the true daughter of the Alpha in her pack, her world, as she knows it, comes crashing down and she finds herself running to hide from the tyrannical Demon Lord who is hell-bent on finding … is hell-bent on finding her.
Seeking protection, she flees to the court of the Werewolf King. He’s arrogant, stubborn and discerning of her very being, but willing to defend her… for now.
Will the Werewolf King yield to the Demon Lord’s ultimatum and give her to the enemy or will she be the cause of a looming war between the two species?
More importantly, what does the Demon Lord want with Belle? She’s only a werewolf… isn’t she?
Not only wolves, but other supernatural creatures as well. I don’t want to give anything away, but this book has a sneaky way of dragging you into the story and following every twist and turn with baited breath. The characters are believable, the story unique. One of my favorite wolf shifter stories now. – L.R.
I absolutely love this book and I cannot wait for the next one! What a wild and twisty ride the book was!!! I swear once I had everything figured out, it changed all over again, twisting and turning the entire way through. I love the writing it has a nice smooth and easy way of taking you to another world were vampires, witches, demons, and of course werewolves are all living along with humans and other supernatural beings. – Celestemore
“3.5 out of 5 stars!! Close to Belle’s (Annabelle) eighteenth birthday, her life forever changes when she learns that everything she knew about herself is a lie. Raised within a werewolf pack, she is taken to the Werewolf King’s castle in hopes to protect her from an unknown source. However, that is just the beginning of the “crazy” that is about to enter her life. Will she be able to “roll with the punches” and make the best of the situations that are thrown her way or will she be “gobbled up and spit out” instead?
This novel was an epic adventure-ride from the start that follows both Belle and the Werewolf King (Keith) as they try to make sense about what is happening to Belle and save their world in the process. Though it is not quite…”

The book pulled me in right away but to much of the same wording kept being brought up. I loved Keith even though he acted like an A@@. To many characters to follow and I got lost. But other then that I liked the story line.
it costs money
Gripping, fast-paced a great read.
Couldn’t put this book down, simply loved it.
This book is easy to read and is full of interesting and unique characters. This is not your usual werewolf story where either a human finds out they are a werewolf or gets turned or where a werewolf is trying to fit in with humans without revealing what they are. This is a different take on werewolves and other supernatural beings. It has an element of mystery to it which makes you want to keep reading
First off, I thoroughly enjoyed this story! Its for everything that I love and need to have in a paranormal romance and so much more. This story revolves around Belle, who was adopted by werewolves and believed that she was one, but her whole life becomes a massive journey of self discovery as she’s forced to go away with the king of werewolves against her will.
Much to her dismay, other supernatural kings are vying to become her mate because of prophesy, which puts Belle in more danger and leaving her wondering if she will survive.
I highly recommend this one and looking forward to reading the test of this series.
MATED TO THE WEREWOLF KING by Alena Des.
Picture this, Living the first eighteen years of your life in an unintentional lie. Not just a lie, but only being only twenty-five percent of who you really are. The girl you are picturing is Belle, and close to her eighteenth birthday, she was taken (kidnapped) from her adoptive family by the king of the werewolves who at first thought she was a threat to the pack. There is more to this, but I am not going to drop spoilers.
It turns out she’s not who/what she always believed herself to be. Its a long journey of ups and downs and learning about herself in the process.
The story was fast paced and quite the page-turner. When I wasn’t reading the book, I was dreaming, thinking, or talking about it. The characters were enjoyable and not overly done. The world the author built would be places I would like to see if they ever were to exist.
I have read a lot of books with packs of wolfs, vampires, watches and more. They all seem to fallow this unseen typical storyline, and it starts getting old, this, however, this book was pretty excellent. If I could give more stars, I would. Personally, like to think the author Alena Des for selling me on this genre again!
Alena Des creates a detailed world you can sink into, where all fabled creatures are very real and on the move to claim ownership of their mate. As Belle and Keith battle uncharted territory in the underworld and beyond, they discover why they’ve had to fight an infuriating pull toward one another, why all the kings of each species has the same pull to Belle, and learn the secret to Belle’s true identity. This eloquently written novel will have you laughing crying and always on the edge of your seat. I recommend it for readers 18 and above. Can’t wait to read the rest of the series.
A unique take on a tale of a beauty and a beast. I found this fantasy romance book to be an exciting read, full of twists and turns I didn’t expect. Belle and Keith’s romance kept me intrigued. Although at the beginning I didn’t care for Keith, as the story went on I found myself rooting for them. I look forward to reading more of their story.
I don’t normally read in this genre, but I have to say, Mated to The Werewolf is absolutely riveting. The tension escalates with every single scene and the characters are in constant danger, which completely pulled me into the story and kept me there. Belle and Keith are the perfect pair and I loved the way you were never quite sure about which of the other characters you could trust, and which you couldn’t. The book is rife with betrayals and bewitchings and good deeds rewarded and undeserved evil raining down on innocent, unsuspecting parties. It’s simply full of surprises and delightfully unpredictable in every way. Strengths: Riveting Plot and Wonderful Characters, Excellent World Creation and Great Pacing, Perfectly Romantic. Areas for improvement: Dialog and vocabulary – at times the characters all sounded the same, and given the rich palate of species represented, I wanted the voices to sound different and the speech patterns and vocabulary to be appropriately varied. It might be that I am too old to grasp the cadence of these young voices. All in all, an excellent read – a highly recommended good vs. evil drama that will leave you wanting more.
I decide to get the boxset because it was much cheaper. I’m glad I did because I was happy to read through the whole series in one weekend. The characters and great descriptions pulled me in so much that I couldn’t put it down. There is a perfect mix of romance and fantasy for this genre. Sex scenes were good, without having to be overly graphic.
Each book is different, but part of the same world. The first book focuses on the demon chasing Annabelle; the second is about Alice fighting the virus, and the third is Lucifer fighting Riley in the vampire war. There are a lot of characters, and a lot of things going on, so sometimes it is difficult to remember their differences, but that adds to the complexity of these three stories.
I’m a huge fan of Fantasy novels, especially those containing werewolves. Alena takes her readers through different dimensions where you not only meet werewolves, but other supernatural characters as well.
Annabelle, or Belle is the main female character in this novel who thought she knew who she was, only that she was a little different than her family. She later learns that she was actually adopted, but has yet to figure out her bloodline, as well as what gifts she has inherited. She also learns that she is part of a prophecy and that she is something truly special and unique.
Witches, werewolves, and demons. Oh my!
Awesome read! This one kept me up reading way past my bedtime, well over. I was glued to every twist and turn Alena brought to the book.
A really great read!!! Meet Belle, the alpha’s daughter and Keith the werewolf King. With loads of action, magic and demons this is one heck of a ride. What I love the most is the push and pull of the characters. The love , hate, love relationship is what drives this story for me. I honestly wasn’t sure whether I would like this book or not, but the more invested I became the more I wanted to to consume.
