A retired group of legendary warriors must get the band back together for one last seemingly impossible mission in this rousing debut epic fantasy. Glory never gets old. Clay Cooper and his band were once the best of the best, the most feared and renowned crew of mercenaries this side of the Heartwyld. Their glory days long past, the mercs have grown apart and grown old, fat, drunk, or a … grown apart and grown old, fat, drunk, or a combination of the three. Then an ex-bandmate turns up at Clay’s door with a plea for help–the kind of mission that only the very brave or the very stupid would sign up for.

Worth the read! With haunting deaths, hilarious jokes, and amazing battles, Kings of the Wyld delivers a fast-paced ride from start to finish!
One of the best books I’ve ever read!! Probably the best one this year! It’s exciting, it’s funny! It’s not often a book has me laughing out loud. Wow! So amazing…it left me utterly speechless.
I can’t believe this was the author’s debut. You are going to see big things with this author!
The writing was so strong, both the characters and the world so unique…just epic awesomeness! I loved each of the members of Saga, Kit, and the ettin! I can’t believe I waited this long to get to it!
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book this much fun. Action, monsters, laugh-out-loud humor mixed with poignant moments, and characters right out of your decade-long D&D campaign. I’ve found a new favorite author!
What if you took the concept of a rock band and imported it into a fantasy world, where, instead of going on the road to play music, they went on the road to fight monsters and save people? That’s what Kings of the Wyld does, and it’s awesome.
I knew I had to give Kings of the Wyld a positive review when the first thing I did upon completing it was to check to see if Eames had written anything else. I was excited to learn that a second book in the same world, Bloody Rose, is due out in a month or so. I liked the author’s writing style, often humorous, even irreverent, and on more than a few occasions, poignant and touching. I found both his primary and secondary characters well developed and distinctive. I’m looking forward to his next book.
