Kingston Ramsay needs a good woman, even if he doesn’t know it yet.Building a life in the wild west can get mighty lonely for a man who has vowed to never fall in love again.Lonely days. Lonely nights. Lonely bed.Lucky for him, he has friends who are determined to help him out. While King agrees to hire a housekeeper, his compadres decide he deserves more – a beautiful wife, ready and able to … and able to fill those lonely hours with all the excitement he can handle.
Not telling King about his surprise…might have been a mistake, for when Fancy arrives, she isn’t exactly what they bargained for when they arranged for a mail-order bride for their friend.
Half-starved and homeless, Fancy Grace is ecstatic for a chance at a family of her own. In her estimation, Kingston Ramsay, the man who has chosen her, is the epitome of perfection. She can’t believe her good fortune and is determined to make him the happiest of men…until she learns the truth.
Kingston didn’t choose her, he thinks she is there to make his bed, not warm it.
Determined to make the best of her bad situation, Fancy sets out to prove she can be exactly what King needs. She might not be a beauty, but she has plenty to offer the right man. Sparks fly in this battle of the sexes when these two strong-willed individuals clash. King is forced to reevaluate his definition of perfect when he learns a valuable truth – sometimes true beauty can only be discerned when looking through the eyes of love.

It was a good story about how friends are there for you and the people you love.
Interesting story, with good descriptions of the characters and landscape. Entirely too much detail of the main characters’ sexual encounters, totally unnecessary.
Great story, I enjoyed the characters. Would have given a 5 rating but way too HOT!
Really enjoyed it from beginning to end. Different from what I usually read. A nice book
There was way too much explicit sex in this book for me. I had a hard time liking the h. The basic story was interesting.
Great book. Everyone needs friends like that
Great story. Love all the characters that you meet in this story. You’ll need your tissue in some parts, but I great read.
I enjoyed the story line of this book a lot. However, I was not prepared for sexually explicit content.
Leave out the sex scenes and it would be 5 star.
I actually cried at one point for Fancy
Amazing how many different plots they can come up with for a mail-order bride
Liked the story but the language was horrible. Yes they were a bunch of ex-soldiers but I doubt they used the f word in those years and men usually didn’t curse/swear in front of women!!
I wish I could give ten stars for this story and author. I have put King’s Fancy in my favorites in my Kindle.
I loved at the end you found out the connection. It was great. Can’t wait for the next one.
I enjoyed this book enough to overlook the occasional typos and grammatical errors. The men of the story immediately caught my interest. All of them seemed to have a unique character and background, leading me to believe more stories will be coming in the future. I would have given it 5 stars, except that Fancy was a little too ‘Pollyanna’ for me. To have suffered all the hardships she had and still have such a forgiving nature seemed a little unrealistic to me. However, I found it a most enjoyable read.
I had thought by the story line description, that I would enjoy the book. However, I only read the first page of so & discovered that the LANGUAGE used was so BAD I deleted the book & read no more. I wish there was a “Code” or some way to know the writer used profane language BEFORE you purchase the book.
I really enjoyed reading this book and am looking forward to the next book in her series.
The “Hero” is hurtful and dismissive because the lady is “ugly”. He is willing to use her, though. She, on the other hand, will take abuse over & over again. The author holds up the Hero as a good man. Really? I didn’t see that at all.
I really enjoyed reading this book. I’m looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I highly recommend this book.
This was an enchanting read. Although fairly predictable, the book was well paced and presented. It was easy to like the good guys and hate the bad guys. Just the book to read by the fire on a cold night, warm blaze, warmed heart.
