The cavalry is ready. And they’re riding steel horses…The Misfits MC is known for maintaining the balance.Providing common ground.Protecting the innocent. However, when Adonis “King” Arthur embarks on the conquest to completely destroy a rival club, he unfortunately realizes the cost of victory may be too high….
Book 1 left us at a cliffhanger and the story here continues on from there. There are more questions and answers but I loved the developing relationship between King and Imani. They put a smile on my face.
Book two ends in another cliffhanger leaving us with more questions like book one. But it does pick up right where we left off and showcases Imani and Adonis’ relationship and how both are learning to embrace each other in their worlds. The amount of suspense and action made it another quick read but I especially love the side characters and all the banter again with this group. I’m interested to see where book three will take this couple
Kings Conquest is book 2 in Camelot Misfit MC Series and begins where book 1 ended. Picking up right where the cliffy left us hanging thank goodness for that. I’ve been patiently bidding my time awaiting my copy to read and when I got it I all I wanted to do was tear into it. The passionate connection between King and Queen is something dreams are made of. Queen is so strong, so independent, able to take care of herself yet she lets King “think” she’s letting him take care of her when really she’s the one doing the taking care of. He thinks he’s in charge but honestly she is the one with all the power. I received a free advanced copy to read and review. Now on to book 3 Kings Legacy because of coarse yet again we are left with another cliffhanger.
I am loving this series! This continuation of King and Imani’s story is great! I loved the surprises, as well as the action and the awesome characters! I can’t wait to dig into the next book!
King’s Conquest picks back up where the cliffhanger at the end of King’s Return leaves us hanging. You must read King’s Return (Book #1) in order to understand what is going on in this book.
The action picks up and we are taken on a fast-paced, intense journey filled with action, suspense, danger, revenge, lust, and steam. King had to do a lot of soul-searching but he’s back and ready for revenge but revenge won’t come so easily and his thirst for revenge could put those he cares for in danger.
This was a good, fast-paced read. I liked seeing the development of King (Adonis) & Queen’s (Imani) relationship. It is obvious they both have a great deal of respect and passion for one another. We also get to see the development of King & Imani’s relationship with the fellow MC members. There were a few things that I feel were glazed over & parts of the story that needed more development. At times I felt Queen was a little immature in her actions and reactions. King is still his growly, alpha self and I love that. Secrets are revealed and stories unfold but we are also left with more questions and mysteries to unravel. This ends on an exciting cliffhanger I can’t wait to see what happens next in King’s Legacy!
***ARC received for an honest review.**
And the story keeps coming! This one picks up right where King’s Return leaves us, with Imani stuck in the bathroom looking for something to protect herself with.
In typical Xavier Neal style you are immediately sucked back into this story worried about what’s going to happen next!
King and Imani’s explosive romance is still working through the minefield that we have come to expect. This part of the story just delves deeper into the characters, showing us more of their layers.
Again remember that this is book 2 out of 3 so this one will also end in a cliffhanger, know this and be ready for it. Then go read book 3!
This is a dark romance, but it is also a story about family, and what the definition of family is. So get ready to learn more about the Misfits of Camelot and enjoy this story!
This is book 2 of a series and must be read in order.
We pick up right where book 1 left off.
I found I enjoyed this more than the first as I was more into the story and felt you could see the growth in the characters.
There is plenty of action and twists to keep you reading.
King and Imani are definitely hot as a couple.
This again ends in a cliffhanger leaving you with more questions than answers
Bring on book 3
I was given an ARC but voluntarily chose to review
Once agsin, white knights appear on steel horses. The Misfits continue to fight for their family. To protect their own. As Book 1 left us on a nail biter of a cliffhanger, you knew the storm was brewing and about to be unleashed. King finds himself going to battle regarding his Queen. While doing so, Queen begins to learn her role and accept its consequences. And the Club unfortunately realizes that loyalties are being tested. Sides are chosen, let the battle begin.
King’s Conquest picks up where we left off and we are off and running. Things in this book are heating up and King and Imani’s relationship is getting deep. I’m excited for more.

After the cliffhanger from the first book, I anxiously dived into this book. I began reading and in no time I was halfway through the book. It is fast paced and action packed.
I loved seeing more and more of the growing and beautiful relationship between Imani and King. He lives up to his MC nickname in every sense of the word. As the story progresses, Imani grows as his “Queen”. She takes on the responsibilities of King’s “Old Lady”.
“The heart of every Misfit chapter is brotherhood , but what keeps that fucking heart healthy, what keeps that heart fucking beating, is the compassion and sacrifice of the women tied to it. The women who have to deal with the brunt of our tempers. The women who have to accept the sting of our secrecy. The women who allow us to act one way while the public watches and another behind closed doors. The women who know when to sew up a mental wound or pour salt in it to drive us harder.”
I especially loved how she fits in perfectly with each MC member. They respect her as “Queen” which includes her tough as well as back talking facade.
“How the does King handle you?”“With two hands because one is never enough.” The retort causes him to squeeze his eyes shut. “Unbelievable….”
I will say again, Xavier Neal certainly did her research of every detail included in this trilogy. She takes such care in every additional detail she adds to different settings. I found myself seeing everything she described. It was a clear moving picture in my head.
There is a passion between Imani and King that is just about unparalleled.
“Knowing I failed not as King, the Misfit, but as King, the man who would climb to the heavens and fight the angels to give his Queen the stars.”
This book ends in another cliffhanger but don’t worry, the next book is already out so there is no waiting.
Book Review: King’s Conquest (Camelot Misfits MC book 2)
Author: Xavier Neal
FIVE STARS
Thank goodness for KU. Finished book one and was immediately able to start book two. These first two books in this series are just fabulous.
King and his Queen, Imani, are really burning up the pages. Imani is really a force to behold. Their passion and lust for each other is jumping off the pages at you.
Just like book one this book also has some triggers that you may want to avoid. It also ends in a cliff hanger just like the first one but I can bet you will do what I did and one click the preorder for the third and last book in the series.
Xavier Neal does an outstanding job of making you feel like a Misfit.

Drop Everything & Read-
So book two kicks off where King’s Return (Camelot Misfits MC Book 1) dramatically ends. This book is filled with action and a few twists, but mostly concentrates on Imani’s acclimation to club life and her relationship with King. Loving the serious chemistry and bonding between the two and the hilarious side characters. Anxiously awaiting book three!
This one picks up where the first installment left off! You will not be kept waiting! It’s intense and action pact and you will not see the punches coming! I loved every minute of it! The way the characters connect and interact is amazing. Her passion for learning how to fit in to the new mold that is her life is interesting to read about and all her inane facts are right up my alley! The way they grow together and work as a team is inspiring. Unfortunately, life is not so accommodating and it intrudes on their little bubble. With avengance. But you will have to read it for yourself! No spoilers! I cannot wait for the next book. Another five star read by Xavier Neal.
Better to die with loyalty to those you love than to live as a coward betraying those who needed your protection. ”
I was absolutely thrilled to read this book and I loved it! After meeting King and Queen ( Adonis and Imani) in book 1 ( Kings Return) I fell in love with them and the Misfits. This book has love, loyalty, betrayal, family, heartache, steam and humor. The author has you feeling as if you are right there in all the action. Yes, there is a cliffhanger and oh my aweit’s awesome! I kept trying to flip to the next page to continue reading and realized it was the end! So looking forward to more! I also have to add I LOVE Puck!!!!
“This stuff better come with coffee. Or donuts. I’ll take donuts.” -Puck
