Years in the making, Sarah J. Maas’s #1 New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series draws to an epic, unforgettable conclusion. Aelin Galathynius’s journey from slave to king’s assassin to the queen of a once-great kingdom reaches its heart-rending finale as war erupts across her world. . . Aelin has risked everything to save her people-but at a tremendous cost. Locked within an iron coffin … cost. Locked within an iron coffin by the Queen of the Fae, Aelin must draw upon her fiery will as she endures months of torture. Aware that yielding to Maeve will doom those she loves keeps her from breaking, though her resolve begins to unravel with each passing day…
With Aelin captured, Aedion and Lysandra remain the last line of defense to protect Terrasen from utter destruction. Yet they soon realize that the many allies they’ve gathered to battle Erawan’s hordes might not be enough to save them. Scattered across the continent and racing against time, Chaol, Manon, and Dorian are forced to forge their own paths to meet their fates. Hanging in the balance is any hope of salvation-and a better world.
And across the sea, his companions unwavering beside him, Rowan hunts to find his captured wife and queen-before she is lost to him forever.
As the threads of fate weave together at last, all must fight, if they are to have a chance at a future. Some bonds will grow even deeper, while others will be severed forever in the explosive final chapter of the Throne of Glass series.

Not too much more to say beyond a great ending to a great series. Fast paced, and multiple moments of “I’m not crying…”. A few plot holes sure, but with something this complicated that’s bound to happen. I was worried what almost 1,000 pages would feel like, but it was gone in the blink of an eye.
Like A Court of Thorns and Roses, I see the opportunity for spin off series’ from various plot points and relationships that haven’t quite been buttoned up.
It’s been so long since I read book six, that it took me a while to remember everything that had happened, but thankfully there are enough reminders to get the reader caught up. Which I appreciated as there are so many different story lines weaving throughout this book. Some of those story lines are definitely stronger than others, however as much as I wanted to stick to my favorite characters, I still found interest in the secondary story lines that kept me turning the pages. This book truly is a page-turner. I found myself putting off other tasks so that I could read more, and the convergence of all of those story lines at the end was well worth the wait. I loved that by the end of the series, this was no longer the story of how one person saved the day, but the story of how working together saved the day – with plenty of opportunities for individuals to shine leading up to that point. My one complaint came from the cynic in me rolling my eyes at the fact that almost everyone was perfectly paired off by the end to live happily ever after. However, the romantic in me loved that fact, so it’s a mixed bag. Although, among so many couples, it would have been nice to see at least one that wasn’t hetero-normative, and that’s something that both the cynic and romantic in me can agree upon. Even so, this was a thoroughly satisfactory ending to an enjoyable series.
I loved the ending to this great series. It tied up the loose ends, left the reader satisfied with the conclusion, and was a page-turner. I never felt the story lagged and it had unexpected turns of events. I do wish it was a bit more conservative on the intimacy scenes as I had to block out certain scenes for my daughter to read. Otherwise, I highly recommend it.
The perfect ending to a great series. Sarah J. Maas is excellent at building a world that draws you in. One of my favorite series!
Last book in Throne of Glass Series. Extra long but brings series to a good ending.
The Amazing ending that I have waited for!!! I’ve read it several times and would recommend the entire series…..absolutely my favorite!
The entire series was a joy reading. I was entranced from the first to the last.
Sarah J. Maas delivered another epic story in her amazing Throne of Glass series. Kingdom of Ash wrapped up everything in a way that left me satisfied–and mournful. I’m sad that I won’t be spending any more time in this world, because it’s so beautiful and imaginative. Highly recommended!
This book was an amazing end to my favorite series, Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas. The book had me crying and laughing simultaneously. The characters were inspiring and develpoed into my friends through the journey
Love everything by this author but so far this is her only book that has made me cry more than once.
I bow down to Sarah J. Maas! A thrilling, unbelievably great ending to an astounding series. As a fantasy author (among other genres I write), I appreciate her enormous skill, from creating deeply flawed, emotionally resonant characters, to rich world-building, to flawless action and plotting. WOW. I wept more than once during this read. I adore this series.

Review:
I have to be honest, I lost my excitement for this book due to all the push backs and the crazy fandom. Now don’t start hating on me, I get her reasons for pushing back the book but like 6 times is a bit to much. I would have waited with the series if I knew.
But I’m glad I finally got to read it because it was really good! She really stepped up from A Court of Wings and Ruin (which I still liked). I loved how it all came together.
What is this book about:
This book starts where Empire of Storms (and Tower of Dawn) ended. Aelin is captured by Maeve and Rowan and co are hunting her down to save her.
Lysandra is prententing to be Aelin and Aedion is fighting to win the war and to keep the forces of Erawan at bay.
Dorian and Manon are looking for the last Wyrdkey and are trying to get the other witches to fight for them.
Chaol and the others are on their way back with an army, and they hope they aren’t to late.
In this book we see everyone come together in an attempt to fight and defeat Maeve and Erawan, but will they succeed? Will they find a way to win without having to pay the ultimate price….
What did I like about this book:
Overall I loved this book. It was long and it had a bit of a slow start but it was so worth it. I really liked how it all turned out. I kind of expected an ending like this but I’m glad it all worked out.
SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
I loved how real it felt. Aelin being traumatized, her still struggling after the rescue. How tired she is. How she suffered, and how Fenrys suffered.
I didn’t get the love for Fenrys until this book. I really do now.
I loved seeing Rowan and Aelin together. I loved how they where still a team. I loved seeing more from Rowans pov too.
We got to see the Cardre in action and I loved that because till now we didn’t seem much of their skills.
My heart broke for Aedion. I really feel bad. The amount of pressure he’s under. Trying to fight and almost unfightable war and being knocked down over and over again. Without Aedion there wouldn’t be a country to save. He fought so hard. He got hurt by the woman he loved and his beloved cousin. It really pissed me off that Lysandra and Aelin decided to make him a breeding stud without even consulting him about it when they made those plans. I really expected more from lysandra. As a former whore she knows what it’s like to have others make choices over her body and she had no issue doing it to Aedion, even knowing his past. To expect him to breed children for Aelins line, so the kids would look like her, but never being able to claim them as his own. It’s not oke to make a live altering decision for someone, they should have asked him before making that plan. And her admitting they where never going to tell him was just fucked up. I get why he was so mad at her. He had every right to.
I also felt for Lysandra, she had fate in aelin and thought she would have made a good plan, while in reality the plan sucked. It was a crappy plan and it cost people their lives.
I was shocked when Aelin lost all her power. I didn’t expect her to die, no way would sarah have done that. I think its a good compromise though, that way she still payed a hefty price but not her live. I loved how Rowan one upped her with the wyrdmarks on her back, guiding her home.
I thought it was stupid for aelin to bargain with the gods for Elena though, the bitch had it coming. And she got screwed by the gods and screwed the others by arguing with the gods. I loved that Mala gave her some power though.
I absolutely hated the crossover. I hated it because it added absolutely nothing. Sarah really went against her word, and she has a habit of doing that and it doesn’t really work for her. I am glad that she closed all other opportunities for a crossover in the future though.
I loved that Rowan and Aelin fought Maeve together, shared power. It showed how strong Rowan actually is. I loved that the defeat of Erawan and Maeve was a team effort and not just like typical YA, where the main heroine does all the fighting and wins everything. That felt real to me.
I am glad that there where some impactfull deaths, it made it sad but realistic. I do feel like Gavriel’s death, while I knew it was coming, was a bit unnecessary. I didn’t fully understand why he did it, he didn’t need to.

Rating:
5 it was amazing Stars
Definitely an unforgettable ending of a killer series, and saddening in some parts.
This book for the most part was a really good ending to this great series. Though a lot of the story really was fan service, and the author took away one of the most important aspects of them main character ( vey unnecessary ) the book is still good enough for the troopers why stuck through till the end. It definitely could have been done better but this is still a good read.
Wow! So much packed in one book. The series end is everything you want it to be. Full of plot twists and turns, characters growing in strength and relationships and an ending that is sad and full of hope at the same time. This book does not disappoint. The bad part is it is the end of the series.
This book…and the entire series…catapulted Sarah J. Maas to the top of my Favorite Author List. She built a realistic world populated with characters who I really cared about! I’m not a fan of gratuitous sex scenes, so I was pleased with the tasteful way she handled them in these stories. I really loved the way she tied up all the threads at the end satisfactorily. I highly recommend this series to anyone who is a fan of epic fantasy.
Even though this book was the last of the series, it was great. Strong characters, sad but great ending. It states for young adults but if anyone likes to read fantasy stories, this series would be the right one to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it..
The whole series is great. Started reading it again as soon as I finished it.
In the final book of an amazing series we find Aelin and her court separated and fighting the war against Erawan. Aelin is being held captive in an iron coffin by Maeve while Rowan continues to look for her. Aedion and Lysandra are protecting Terrasen while Dorian and Manon make plans to find the 3rd Wyrdkey.
So much happens in this book that I don’t even know where to start. I was actually hesitant to start it because I didn’t want it to end. The suspense in this book is mind numbing. Things happen so quickly and, of course, there are surprises up Aelin’s sleeve. I cried both tears of sadness and joy throughout the whole book. There are many deaths, some of which I am still recovering from. I just didn’t understand why. What I enjoyed the most was how everyone came together to fight Erawan and Maeve regardless of their differences. Some of them traveled so far. The ending is expected, but the way they get there is not. The twists and turns throughout the whole series continued until the end. Aelin may be Queen, but she’s not the only hero. These characters will remain in my heart for a very long time.
This is the best book ever!
