Kelly Kavanagh was Liam’s happily ever after, his loyal princess. A lifeline to something better than any high school dropout could ever hope for…until the day she left to pursue a dream that didn’t include him and slowly his kingdom crumbled to the ground. Liam O’Connell was the sun to Kelly’s everlasting moon, her painted prince. A strong and devoted soul to fight the war she was slowly losing … slowly losing against herself…until his promises had become lies and her dream was the only way she would ever survive.
They have more than just miles and time between them now. The twin fortresses they’ve built around their hearts are next to impossible to scale. But, when two parallel fates collide in life and in death, will the impact be powerful enough to break down their self-imposed walls?
Every love story starts with Once Upon a Time, but in real life there are no fairytale endings, and the prince who rescues you…will never wear a crown.

Kingdom is a work of art, a book, that Author A.M. Johnson has painted so richly it can be seen in the dark!
Liam and Kelly’s story, much like other books written by Author A.M. Johnson, is heartbreakingly simple with pieces woven deeply enough that we, the reader, cannot see until the author is ready to expose them..
Liam cannot leave his family because he is their self-proclaimed savior, and Kelly cannot wait to leave for California because there is no one to save her family.
When she finally comes back from California, Liam tries to make sure that Kelly knows he would be her savior too, not understanding that Kelly must save herself. When Liam is finally pushed so far that he can’t save his family or himself, Kelly shows him that she would have helped save him all along.
A beautiful book, mixing elements of the past and present, Kelly and Liam must set aside the things that have scared them both in order to find the love that will save them. 5 phenomenal stars, A.M. Johnson’s words are poetry bound by love, leaving a trail straight into Poet – the third book in Avenues Ink, Kierans story.

A.M. Johnson absolutely knocked it out of the park with Kingdom……it is amazing! I thought Declan & Paige would be my favorites, but Liam & Kelly are just something magical. Even after all the years of not seeing each other and having any communication (well….Kelly sort of tried), they were destined to be together. Yes, Liam treated her poorly upon her return to town…..but he had never gotten over the heartbreak of her leaving. But, seeing how he dropped everything to be by her side after her accident, I don’t think a lot of guys would do that. Liam always saw that there was more to her than her outer beauty (which was something she always struggled with)…..and he was the only one that truly understood her. And Kelly was the only one who truly understood Liam as well. He was the protector of his family, always putting everyone else’s needs in front of his own….which can only get a person so far. But, seeing how the siblings came together after their mother passed – truly touching. Neither Declan or Kieran gave him crap for leaving them at the hospital that night. Didn’t think he was being selfish…..and for once, Liam did what was best for him at that moment. Such an amazing, beautiful story…..and I loved every minute of it. Excited to see what’s in store for Kieran!
There are good books and there are great books. There are amazing books and books that steal your heart. And then there is the Avenue Ink Series that is in a league of its own. Possession took my breath away for sure. However Kingdom ruined me for other books. From page one I was completely invested in Liam and Kelly as characters. I needed to know why they were so broken and what happened between them.
Getting Liam’s anger and hurt about his past Love from book one, it was even better to finally get to hear from Kelly. I can’t tell you how many times I had to physically put the book down to slow my breathing and regulate my heart cause my emotions were all over the place. I laughed out loud. I cried, a few times. I screamed at my kindle in frustration and I just smiled with pure enjoyment.
If you are looking for an angsty, loveable, sexy, funny, serious, angry, angsty (It needs to be said twice) male and his stubborn, angry at times, funny, caring, also a bit angsty, girl then you must must must read Kingdom. I promise you won’t regret this book. You will get a gut punch to the feels again and again but you will love it every time!

I loved this beautifully poetic and emotional second chance romance about 2 flawed souls who are so intrinsically connected. They are linked by their love and faith in a fairy tale from their youth that promises of a happily ever after away from their abusive fathers. Liam and Kelly meet when Kelly and her friend go to Avenues Ink to get a tattoo. Liam and Kelly have an instant attraction and become inseparable. But Kelly has dreams of moving away to escape her miserable home life, and Liam needs to stay to care for his family. When Kelly leaves, they are both heartbroken and pine for each other. This story picks up 3 years later when Kelly is forced to return when her father is dying. There are hard feelings and their first unexpected meeting is agonizing. Their journey back to each other is not easy but so worth the bumpy ride. This story is refreshingly and uniquely told in alternating flashback sequences and fairy tale allegory that sinuously reveal their past and present. I love how poetic and multifaceted Ms. Johnson’s writing style is. It is so alluring and seductive that when the twists and turns happen, you definitely feel every emotion. I also loved catching up with Liam’s brother, Declan and Paige and learning more about Kieran. He is so intriguing to me and I can’t wait for his book. I loved this unique and refreshing love story. It is heartbreaking, heartwarming, and very hot & steamy and is a must read!
Wow what a fantastic and emotional ride. I still have a major book hangover, I’m blown away and I truly loved loved loved this book. A.M. Johnson did an outstanding with Possession (the first book in this series) and she found a way to top that and make this book so much better. She broke my heart again but in such a good way. I seriously can’t say enough good things about this book and I did not want to put it down. Liam and Kelly’s story is heartfelt, passionate and so compelling. Liam and Kelly are two complex characters from very similar backgrounds. Kelly aspired to be more and Liam had a duty and loyalty to his family. They eventually find there way back together and its such a beautifully written second chance romance. This book will bring out the best of your emotions. This is a second five star book I’ve read by A.M. I am anxiously awaiting Kieran’s book. P.S.- his mother is EVERYTHING in this book.
his is the second book of Avenues Inc. I love so much the three brothers Declan, Liam and Keiran. This time, this is the story of Liam and Kelly. The story is a captivating as the first book. The narration is also good. There are so emotions and anger, heartbreaking moments and in the opposite also so heartwarming moments. I can’t wait to listen to the third book in this Series, this time about Kieran!
How does one transform all the sighs, the tears welling up in my eyes, the gushing emotions and the racing heartbeat, into a review that will do justice to this book? Because I feel that no words would come close to capturing the beauty and essence of Liam and Kelly’s story, the depth of their damaged souls as well as their love, and A.M. Johnson’s exquisite writing.
I must admit that I was skeptical at first, since I never thought that anyone would surpass Declan and Paige’s love and since I am not a big fan of third person narratives. However, I was instantly proven wrong as I greedily devoured all the heart-melting words, feasting on this remarkable gem.
Read it and let it consume you!
The time has come for the King and Queen to share their story. Liam and Kelly’s story is heart wrenching and absolutely beautiful. This is a standalone in a series and you don’t need to read them in any particular order but I am and was in love with Possession now that I’ve finished Kingdom I have to say that this is my favorited the two brothers at the moment but it’s such a close call. This story has you consumed and completely pulled in to the intensity of the story you feel as though your family living through it yourself. Incredible read and I highly recommend you grab your copy. Lucky for me Poet is out already too and I cannot wait to dive in. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
I received an ARC of this book and have volunteered to leave an honest review. Kingdom is the second book in the Avenues Ink series and is Liam’s story. AM Johnson is such a talented writer in the way that she can make you feel every emotion that the characters themselves are experiencing. Liam and Kelly broke up three years ago and the separation still tortures these two. They are trapped in limbo with neither of them being able to fully move on and neither of them actually living life. When the illness of a family member brings Kelly back, life is suddenly turned upside down when Liam is thrust into her life and she must rely on him. The heartache that these two have suffered has made them build walls that will take the heaviest of forces to bring down. This book had me gripped from start to finish and had me at times so overwhelmed by the turmoil that they were putting not only themselves through but each other that my chest ached for them. Liam is the strength behind his family and he has always been there for them making sure that he protects them and holds them up when they need it the most. These characters will make their way into your heart and your mind in a way that you will be praying for them to find happiness not only with each other but within themselves. This book and this series is an absolute must read for anyone who wants a romance that will take you on the ride of your life. If you want a story that will make you experience every part of their lives then what are you waiting for one click now. By the way five stars just doesn’t do the author, the story or the characters justice.
