Homeless. Hungry. Desperate. Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from. A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, sex or a combination of all three. King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn … together, they will have to learn that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.
King is the first book in a two part series. Tyrant is the name of the second book due out August 2015.

All I can say is WOW WOW WOW! What a ride this book took me on! From the very first page I was glued, drawn in to the lives of King, Preppy, Doe and Bear. If I could give this book more than 5 stars I would, it was a roller coaster white knuckle ride from the get go.
When Doe wakes up, she has no memory of her past life. She has been thrown out with the rubbish. Hungry. Homeless. Destitute. Put into a home she escapes and is soon ‘adopted’ by King and Preppy.
King, tattoo artist, criminal, the anti hero was a badass alpha male you just couldn’t help falling in love with. I even had a soft spot for Preppy, he had the capabilities for making me laugh out loud, whilst also living above the law he had a heart of gold. The characters were developed yet complex. I don’t think we have even scratched the surface of King yet.
The range of emotions I went through whilst reading this book was phenomenal. Laughing, crying, anger, Injustice, hope… this book had it all. The ending left me open mouthed. I’m so glad I have got Tyrant to jump straight in to. If I had to wait I would definitely be throwing my kindle at the wall. Talk about a cliff hanger ending!
I loved this authors writing style, the story just flowed effortlessly, strong, intoxicating, addictive. It’s a beautiful dark romance with twists and turns a plenty. Gritty and sexy, the burning desire between King and Doe was compelling, sexy and hot. I can’t emphasis enough how well this book was written. If you haven’t read it, you really are missing out on a great story.
This book was recommended to me and what can I say? I absolutely loved it, such a brilliant read and just worth the read! I really liked this story and had tears in my eyes when reading some parts. Love King and Doe 🙂 but that ending, WTF! It really left me feeling and repeating that! It also left me wanting more!
My favorite ever
This book is so dark.. But so friggin good.. Currently binging the series
King is such a tortured soul, so hard-core, so sexy-good! I LOVE this book & this entire series. Author writes great Alpha males & strong women. Not wimpy gals with no backbone. This book is HOT and it’s action packed and it flows perfectly. When I turned the last page I was sad that it was end of the book and just wanted to stay in this world forever. Thank God it’s a series!
Love this entire series!
Great book, great series. Lovable characters.
Amazing read. I could not put it down. I had to finish it in one sitting! The passion, heart break, twists, and ending are nothing short of jaw dropping fun!
Dark addictive romance, although King was so cruel and took so many bad decisions during his lifetime, that I really find it hard to understand how could he give the heroine a happy ending, it’s not that I don’t believe in second chances but there are some acts that could only have catastrophic results or not????
There is not enough I can say about this book or the whole series…. Mrs. Frazier is a master story teller… and had me hooked from the beginning… she is the master of dark n twisty and this book has characters you will love, and other characters you will love to hate… this book will make you laugh, cry, hot & bothered a whole load of feelings…
Normally I avoid reading books with cliffhangers and wait till all the books are released before diving in. BUT read King anyways because of Tyrant being released soon.
This is my second book I read by T.M. Frazier, I loved her first book The Dark Light of Day. So King was an automatic one-click for me. The synopsis/blurb really grabbed my attention, so I was excited to start this book.
From the beginning till the end this book had my attention, there was no dull moment. Both characters have their issues, both are tortured souls. Doe doesnt know who she is and where she’s from. King is a criminal, and does whatever he wants. I really loved this couple. Doe was a strong woman and she had fire. King showed emotions when he was with Doe. Together they were healing each other.
The side characters were also awesome. Preppy is King’s childhood friend with whom he’d been through a lot. They had eachothers backs. Bear is also a very close friend, member of a MC, he is really hot. (he will get his own book called Lawless – I am super excited to read it!!). Jake and Abby made a small appearance too, it was great seeing them again.
There was a huge twist at the end, I was surprised and didn’t see it coming. I love it when authors can surprise you and have you wanting more. The cliffhanger isn’t too bad (at least I thought it wasn’t), but still I am happy we don’t have to wait long for Tyrant! Can’t wait for T.M. Frazier to release more books, I love her writing style!
I love all your books they make me so happy I love all the characters

A completely addicting series. A bit dark and dangerous. Make sure you have book two waiting because you won’t want to stop. Super narration on the audiobook!
#KingIsMine , *drool* , “awe Prep” and “forget the panties”
That doesn’t really count as a review, does it? Alright, fine. I will try harder.
Well I have sat on this review because I just couldn’t articulate how it made me feel. I have since read Tyrant and am eagerly awaiting Lawless and I STILL am finding it hard to explain.
By the time I finished this book I was so angry, hurt, furious an heart broken and seriously wanted to punch something lol Thankfully I grabbed a tootsie pop and started Tyrant.
King . . . . Brantley King. *swoon*
“Life wasn’t just good. Life was fucking great. I was on top of the fucking world and no one fucked with me or mine. No one. And then it all changed and I got spent three years in a tiny windowless cell, studying the changing cracks in the concrete block walls.”
After getting out of a 3 year stint in prison King is trying to get back to his normal. Tattooing, booze, friends and a cheap faceless piece of ass. Trying and failing, Until he saw those haunting blue eyes strating at him through the crack of the door.
“I may have been homeless and starving, but I was determined to get myself off the streets and into a real life someday. A life with a soft bed and clean sheets.”
Doe woke in a hospital bed after being beaten and left for dead with no memory at all and no family coming looking for her. No one besides Nikki, the hooker-junkie who found her.
Living on the streets is a game of survival and for someone like Doe, she needs more than just Nikki’s help and in hopes of finding the protection, food and a bed she desperately needs, Doe attends a homecoming party filled with bikers wit Nikki. Only to be offered off as a gift to the home comer, King.
But when Nikki steals from King and leaves Doe behind, King wants revenge.
“I didn’t know whether I wanted to kill her or fuck her. Maybe both, but one thing was for sure. One way or another, I was going to make her scream.”
And she wasn’t the only one screaming throughout this story
We watch these two grow, King softens up and lets Doe in while Doe learns to stand on her own feet, all while falling head over heels for King. And Bear and Preppy lol platonically of course.
Speaking of the secondary charters, they fucking rock!
Preppy needs his own book. For me, he was a Major player in this book. Even though his life hasn’t been all sunshine and rainbows he doesn’t let that stand in his way of being the happy, loving smart ass we all love.
Now back to King.
King is . . . . KING! What more can I say?
He is the fierce, relentless, no shit-taking, dirty talking, bad ass King of all things alpha. Cross him with Doe, the sweet almost innocent woman who has a very fiery attitude and you have the perfect pair.
Watching these two grow and witnessing the electric pull between them bounce right off the pages is beyond incredible. Get ready for a complete roller coaster of emotions. I laughed, swooned, fell in love, cried, got majorly pissed off laughed again and then bawled by eyes out some more. All in all, a perfect, crazy unique love story that you MUST read.
Love this whole series
Oh my God! :O
Give me a second to breathe and maybe I can think of something to say that can even half match up to what I just read.
Brantley King has just been released from a 3 year stint in jail. This was not his first rodeo: he’s a bad man. He has no problem living outside of the law and prefers his life that way. Doe doesn’t know who she is. Literally. She woke up in an ally with no memory and now has a sketchy plan to whore herself out to a biker just to get a roof over her head and some protection from street rapists. These two together is all sorts of wrong and a definite case of opposites attract.
TM Frazier, what have you done to me??? I’m coming into this late so I already know the title of the last 3 books, but that in no way prepared me for the cryfest I unleashed when I got to the end of this book!
King is complex and sexy. Doe has a mouth on her that made me laugh out loud. Preppy’ character came to life in the most awkwardly loveable way and Bear was an unexpected closet softy. These characters were hardened by life and driven to extremes. They killed those who dared harm them and took without asking permission. Yet they had depth to their personalities and love in their hearts.
I want to scream with the way this ended because I couldn’t help feeling like they deserved so much more. They deserved better than the shit life handed them.
As much as I can’t wait to start the next book, I’m also scared. TM Frazier had proven she’s a force and no one is safe. I don’t know if HEAs live here, but I’m still holding out hope.
May God rest your soul… and your ten inch penis!
3.5/4 While I found myself interested in the story and where it was leading the characters, it felt rushed and underdeveloped with a level of writing I felt underwhelming. I enjoyed the story enough to become invested in seeing where it goes, but only if I can download or borrow for free.
Kicking myself that it took me so long to get to this series, and when I had a break, I dove in like a starving lunatic because I snagged the boxset awhile ago. Stuck to the pages like crazy glue, I was hooked!! My favorite kind of couple is the epic bad boy like King….*SUPER SWOON* Not only did I fall head over heels with his hotness….I also got to meet one of the most hysterical supporting characters that had me one-clicking his series, Samuel Clearwater aka Preppy. I laughed, I cried, I melted, I swooned, and had to keep picking my jaw up off the floor!! One word: EPIC

True love can be like living inside a tornado sometimes. These wonderful characters are thrown together and you never know what will happen, who will get hurt or who falls in love. I really loved this series.
