Homeless. Hungry. Desperate. Doe has no memories of who she is or where she comes from. A notorious career criminal just released from prison, King is someone you don’t want to cross unless you’re prepared to pay him back in blood, sweat, sex or a combination of all three. King’s future hangs in the balance. Doe’s is written in her past. When they come crashing together, they will have to learn … together, they will have to learn that sometimes in order to hold on, you have to first let go.
King is the first book in a two part series. Tyrant is the name of the second book due out August 2015.

Oh my what can I say as I’m at a loss for words… I hated him then I loved him. King is such a torture sol and had the time I just wanted to slap him silly but he soon grew on me. I was really intrigued with Doe, I needed to know her story right away and with every turn of the page I hoped we would find out but we were met with more mystery. Oh Preppy the hyper one who felt like a brother and is a loveable rogue, you broke my heart. I was hooked all the way through and I couldn’t read fast enough. That cliffhanger at the end….it sure was a dozy of a one. Can’t wait to see in to tyrant to find out what happens to them all.
This book hits EVERYTHING. Literally has everything. Humor, heat, angst, dark subjects, you name it. I was sucked in from the first page and couldn’t stop. Some trigger warnings but it was handled well and honest. King is amazing. And Preppy? Kinda stole the show for me. Love me some Preppy. Truly a must read.
The series was great the three main characters were awesome.
HOLY SMOKES….. this is the first book from Mrs. Frazier I’ve read and needless to say I’ll be binge reading more in this series! This book had me on the verge of crazy the entire time because I didn’t know whether to scream, laugh or throw my tablet. King had me debating if I should hate him or love him the entire read but that ending, that ending did me in and I couldn’t start Tyrant fast enough!
My first reading of TM Frasier, I don’t think this will be my last. Definitely not a fluffy love story had good grit… Fairly well written although I did find a few timing inconsistencies, unpredictable, excellent twists and turns. On to book 2!
Pussnbooks.net Reviewing the darkest erotic books we can find.
This is another new author for me and I quite enjoyed this book. It was subtle to start, easing you into the storyline with an interesting twist to it. The girl with no memories.
I was finding it a pleasant read until about halfway through and then “Boom!” there was action and blood and violence. Which was exactly what it needed in order for me to want to get the next book in the series.
DOE – Doe is a homeless girl somewhere in her late teens. She doesn’t actually know her age…or her name, or even where she came from. She just woke up in a hospital one day with no memory.
So with no money or family, she ends up on the streets living a less than safe life for a few months until a hooker friend of hers suggests she goes to a party with her.
While there she manages to get caught up in a spot of bother and somehow becomes the prisoner of King and ends up handcuffed to the bed.
As you can imagine, things progress from there and she slowly turns from wide-eyed scaredy cat to a bit of a bad-tempered hell cat while she tries to figure who she and King are.
I have to say I really enjoyed this chick.
KING – King is quite the rogue. He just got out of a three-year stretch in prison and his friends throw him a coming home party.
He’s really not into it at all until he glimpses Doe and it’s like a switch got flipped for him.
He’s drawn to this girl and just can’t seem to stop himself from wanting her or needing to be around her.
He is super sexy, covered in tattoos and extremely talented both in and out of bed. Another man that does not like to be told no!
He would swallow glass for those he loves, but they are few and far between, and God help you if you get on his bad side.
He’s quite a prick on and off throughout the story but you come to love him anyway when you realise what it is he’s fighting for and why! (completely heartbreaking parts)
SEX SCENES – The sex was good. Pretty detailed and saucy. I love angry sex!
FINAL THOUGHTS – Yeah it was pretty good. I’m glad it started to pick up more in the middle and I’m gonna read the next one in the series because they threw some heavy shit at you in the last chapter or two and I NEED to know what happens next!
3.5 Stars
This is such a unique story! The writing is rich and sexy with great wit and sarcasm all in there.
This, for me, was the moment of enlightenment to all things TM Frazier.
While reading her stories it is as though I’m in the eye if the storm. -seeing from such intense perspectives as the plot spins around me.
Every book! Every time!
King!! WOW! I have had this book for a while. Now I am kicking myself for not reading it! WTH was I thinking?! Why did I wait?! King was amazing! I now have my new book boyfriend. It is definitely one of my favorites!
I love this bad boy perona. I love King and Doe together, that chemistry is just there 100%. These characters and story is flawless. I wish I could tell more, but I do not want to give anything away.
This is my first read by T.M. Frazier and I cannot wait for more of her work! I am ready for more of King and Doe in Tyrant!
Honestly, I loved the book. It would have been 5 stars except for some issues. I didn’t have issues with the content. I was warned before reading it. I also have no issue reading unconventional or even disturbing romances, being as they are FICTION. Now if a friend fell for a guy like King, I’d freaking warn her away quite vehemently. I actually enjoyed the romance. My issues were more with believability. Sometimes King is practically bipolar in his mood swings. Heck, so is Doe to a lesser degree. Then there are minor plot holes. Lastly, the non-response of King or Doe to what happened to her by Isaac is what knocked this book to 4 stars, instead of five. Completely unbelievable. I seriously enjoyed the book though and plan on reading the next one!
I love every single book in this series!!
Awesome story
This was an excellent story. I enjoyed the characters and the plot that was created in this story. Juggling between several books at a time I gave up others to read this story. I was on the edge of my chair waiting to read what was going to happen next. It was sad to read Preppy’s ending had come, but now I’m looks to read more of this series. This book was well written.
I loved this book! The story of King and Doe. King is a criminal/tattoo artist and Doe is a Jane Doe. She doesn’t know who she is or where she came from. A really good book and I can’t wait to read Tyrant!!!
Love Love Love!
What an emotional roller coaster. My heart was ripped out of my chest. I just loved Preppy, he made me laugh out loud. King is one sexy Alpha. Doe is one strong and sassy woman. I just love all the characters. I can’t wait to read what happens next.
This is the BEST series That I have EVER read. SO in love!
This was a fast pace read that I can see many readers loved but it just wasn’t for me. While I enjoyed the overall story, mostly, and all the emotion captured in it, I never loved the main characters. I just never really connected with them. That’s a big problem for me. I need to connect to the characters to really enjoy a book.
I don’t see myself reading the next one, even after that cliffhanger of a ending. I just don’t feel that urge which is another indicator to me that this series just isn’t for me.
Warning: sexual assault and abuse, violence, drugs.
Love the story line.
My first MC romance and I loved every single minute of it. It’s twisted, steamy and kind of gross at times, but I definitely recommend it. There is a surprise at every turn.
I love this series of books. The only thing I should warn you about is technically they aren’t a HEA. It would spoil it if I told you more, but all of the stories in the series tie together, so no one book ends completely happily. But I read them anyway 🙂
I’m re-reading these and… Holy shit… I forgot how good this book was! I love love love it! “That” part still made me cry like a bloody baby the second time around!
