A massive hurricane looms off the coast of Florida while a different kind of storm is brewing in Logan’s beach. A mysterious newcomer is vying for the title of King of the Causeway. He’ll do anything to steal the crown, including bringing someone back from King’s past who will threaten a lot more than the title King has spent his lifetime building. A hurricane is coming. And it could destroy … could destroy everything.

I loved that we got more of King and Ray. This book was so filled with so much action. Between the storm and Max I was spinning wondering where the story was going. I loved that I swooned for King, and laughed out loud at Preppy. This series is a must read!
OMG… OMG… When I saw this I knew it was going to be epic… And seriously it was.
King and Pup… Oh man. I have no words. From the minute you start reading this book you can just feel the love that these two have for each other. And that is what this book was about for me. About how they support each other. Pup is going through some issues and all King did was support her and be there for her.
And didn’t you just fall in love with all those children. Bo is my favourite, seriously he is probably the type of child Preppy would have been…lol
I loved the whole novella. From the start to the finish. I seriously LOL in so many places that I actually just re-read the book again.
“How will the people we killin’ going to know it’s a killin’ shed if there’s no sign?”
“They will know, and so will the cops,” Bear points out, dropping his bag at his feet.
Preppy pointing to the sign. “No, they would never think that a place with a sign that says killin’ shed is an actual killin’ shed. Duh, Bear, it’s common reverse psychology. Or don’t you have books at your big bad biker playhouse?”
“Clubhouse,” Bear growls.
I can’t wait for Pike’s book. But also just being in their world is truly something that I will want to revisit time and time again.
It is no secret that I am a huge fan of TM Frazier. I really enjoyed this novella and visit with some of my favourite characters from Logan’s Beach. I’ve been not-so patiently waiting for Pike to release in March, so this fresh dose of King & Doe was just what I needed.
You need to read this series from the beginning, so start with Dark Light of Day and buckle up for one hell of a ride.
The King is back, and he has the entourage in tow!! Life on the Causeway is full of adventure and chaos. With another baby on the way, King and Doe are going through a lot of changes. The impending due date has left the household in an upheaval, and things are about to get worse with a storm brewing on the horizon.
King is dealing with a new ‘player’ that is threatening his empire. Preppy is offering his typical spin on events, and the rest of the gang is on standby as the storm creeps into the Causeway. In the midst of it all, Doe is struggling with something that King can’t put his finger on. All of the turmoil combines for an epic conclusion in this latest addition to the King empire.
Welcome to the Causeway!! In this latest story in the King saga, TM Frazier teases her readers with the contents of this novella. No story would be complete without a bit of Preppy-isms, and readers will be delighted to learn their favorite star of the series will play a huge part in this installment. This novella was a perfect compliment to add to the premise of what is yet to come. Bring on the next book!! There’s always room in the Causeway for a little more Preppy, Bear, and King!
Always great to get back in touch with the characters that hold a special place in your heart. King and Doe were a great couple. Here TM touches on a subject that very much needs covering, a subject that is needs to be brought to the attention of many.
Not a major fan of novellas as I never feel I can truly lose myself in the story because its over too quickly but this is a great lead in to the next book in the series and I can’t wait to see what’s in store.
He might be known as King of the causeway but he will always be King of my heart to me. This novella gives you some more time with our favourite couple, King and Pup. If there were ever two people to give you relationship goals then these two are it. Preppy will have you laughing right from the start, King will own your heart and Ray (Pup) will show us that even the strongest women can feel weak. Another amazing read featuring our Logan Beach family that will have a storm raging deep in your heart and soul.
I was so looking forward to getting more on King and Ray.
High points? We get more of them, we get a little Bear, and we get a lot of Preppy. We get to see some of the kids. I absolutely loved what Ray does for Max.
Low points? There are so many typos I question if this book was edited or proofed. The blurb we’re given isn’t the story told. Yes, someone is trying to replace King, but you’re not getting an answer in this book. This book ends in a TBC to be answered in the author’s next duet.
I am typically a huge fan of this author and have recommended pretty much everyone I know to read her, but I was extremely disappointed in this one. The scene with Ray and Max almost made this a book worth reading.
“No, pup, your place isn’t behind me. It is, and always has been, beside me.”
I will read this group of characters for the rest of my life and love every single second!!! They are one of my favorites of all time, and it will never get old. It was the best getting to see them all again, and meet back up with King and Doe who started it all!! Exciting, laugh out ridiculous (I’ll give you one guess which character I’m referring to) melt-your-heart swoons, and all setting up some breadcrumbs for the next installment of this series that I absolutely cannot wait for!! It is always a wild ride back to Logan’s Beach!!

This novella was everything. It was so amazing to be back in King and Ray’s heads again. In true T.M. Frazier fashion she brought all the heat and mayhem. Someone is coming after King and his family and if you know King you know no one takes what’s his. This novella is about family and doing whatever it takes to protect them. King and Ray are a force to be reckoned with and seeing them in action protecting their kids was absolutely amazing. Ray is a complete badass and is so freaking real. I love the discussions in this book. I love that this couple will always fight for each other. King and Ray are so meant to be. I am completely in love with this novella. I will defiantly be reading this one again and again! T.M. has be wanting to re-read the entire series again. I’m even more excited for Pike’s book. This series keeps growing and I keep falling harder in love with each new character. This is defiantly a must read if you have read this series!!
“We’re in this life together.”
King is back, baby! 4 stars
I love this series so much, and am super excited for any opportunity to revisit with these characters. So, I was thrilled when T.M. Frazier announced that she was writing a novella revisiting original series couple, King and Ray.
This book takes place after book #9 in the series, Nine, but you could safely read it after you’ve finished Preppy, vol 3, and there is a brief “intro-fucking-duction” provided by a series fave which will recap you on some of the details. But beware that this book will have spoilers if you haven’t read the earlier books.
Written in dual POV, this book catches us up with King and Ray years after they met. Now happily married with a growing family, they are just as mad for each other as always.
“Hey, Pup.” His voice is a deep bravado that tugs on every nerve-ending in my body. I thought it would fade over time, but it hasn’t. Every day with him only amplifies my feelings.
Heart and body.
But trouble is brewing for King and his wife. Not only is a hurricane bearing down on Logan’s Beach, but there’s a new player in town – one determined to take King’s crown, and they are not afraid to hit close to home in order to do it. King and Ray’s strength will be tested yet again as they go all out to defend what is theirs.
“I’m behind you. All the way. Always.”
King shakes his head and lifts my chin so my eyes meet his. “No, Pup, your place isn’t behind me. It is, and has always been, beside me.”
There’s a bit of drama unfolding at home as well, and Frazier has given us surprising emotional depth with this story – one that I thought was beautifully expressed and that shows the incredible connection and deep love between these two amazing characters.
“When you’re felling weak, I’ll be strong for you. If you can’t see, I’ll be your eyes. If you can’t hear, I’ll guide you. We’re only weak when we’re not a team. Together? We’re un-fucking-stoppable.”
My heart constricts in my chest. “You take my breath away.”
King holds my gaze. “You are my fucking breath.”
*heart-clutching swooooooon!*
Of course, their family-of-the-heart are right there with them, and Preppy in particular is on freaking fire in this one. Rude, crude, and utterly hilarious, but with a huge heart as always, I love, love, love him! Honestly, I love the whole bunch, and I loved the opportunity to check in with them all – especially seeing them and their kids all together and watching as their brood expands.
There’s an epilogue which finishes off the story beautifully, and with trouble still brewing, it’s a great lead-in to Pike’s story coming soon.
Dramatic, emotional, sexy and intense, this is a great addition to the series.
Yes! King and Ray are back!!! Love these two. I really loved this novella. I missed this crew! King and Ray, Preppy and Dre, Bear and Thea. Wish there was more. Looking forward to reading Pikes book!
Oh T.M. Frazier, you sure know how to take me back. King of the Causeway is a peek into the lives of my favorite dark hearted, bad A, take no crud characters from the King series. King and Doe have some time together under their belts and we get to see how they have lived and interact with their new reality. But not without some bumps and extreme complications.
T.M. Has done what she does best and I’m here for all of it!
So freaking good!!
“I carried you back then. I carry you now. I’ll carry you. Always.”
I was beyond giddy when I heard we were getting this novella. King of the Causeway is a short, sweet not so sweet read. I will never get enough of King and Doe! There was a certain part that had me nervous AF and in the edge of my seat. Never doubt the love a mother has for her children or the sacrifice they are willing to make. If it is even possible I love them more today then I did yesterday. I’m eagerly awaiting for Pike’s story and what is to come next in Logan’s Beach.
“I am yours. Forever. I promise.”
King of the Causeway is the perfect novella to dive back in with the Logan’s Beach crew. We get to see plenty of King and Ray, but we also get to see our other favorites, too–Preppy, Dre, Bear, Thia, Nine, and the kids.
Oh, Pike? Yeah, he’s here too. We may not get much time with him, but this is a great way to gear up for his story! I can’t wait to see where this heads and I’m so ready for it!
I love King and Pup, I have since the moment we met them. Their love for each other is just as intense, just as passionate, and just as supportive as ever. I would read about them forever if I could.
Logan’s Beach will forever hold a special place in my heart and nobody can take the crown that our King wears.
Oh how I’ve missed the Logans Beach gang.
It was fantastic to catch up with our favourite King of The Causeway and Doe. These two have been through so much and I loved seeing how strong they still are, they’re not just a couple they’re a team.
I swear my love for King just tripled, the way that guy loves his wife takes my breath away.
Doe reminded me just how fuxking fierce she is, that she will do anything to protect her family.
We get more from Preppy too and I’m pleased to say that crazy mother fuxker is on top form. He’s just as hilarious with zero morals or filter, but that’s why we love him.
The camaraderie between King, Preppy & Bear has all the usual sarcastic wit and banter that comes from lifelong friendship. They love to rile each other up but they have each others backs, no matter what. I’ve always loved the bond between them.
This novella was a quick little read with dark elements and dark humour which I love. And that T.m Frazier magic that makes her stories unforgettable.
King of the Causeway has set the scence nicely for Pikes book, giving us little teasers as to what’s instore….I can’t wait.
I was in a terrible book slump where nothing new was grabbing my interest so I was very happy this turned up when it did. I’ve missed the world of King, Doe, Preppy and Bear. Just seeing these names makes me very happy. This sets up Pike’s story. A threat has hit King and co. Who is this mystery man causing problems????
You know when the story is so good you stay up all night reading it?
That’s exactly what this book is.
Any T.M Frazier fan will gobble this one up, because we get to meet all out favorite characters after what felt like a long drought.
King and Doe, Preppy and Bear and the rest of the ragtag gang that made up Logan’s Beach.
Plus this story is the perfect segue into Pike’s story.
But besides all that, what still amazes me is T.M’s way of describing scenes. She paints picture with words and builds you a world you feel a part of. My heart was pounding as the storm was building. I was there with Doe while she fought her battles. I was there with King while he struggled with his emotions. I felt like I was there!
I want to say thank you T.M for giving us this novella and reminding us of what a brilliant story teller you are. I eagerly wait for Pike’s book and the mystery to unfold.
Note* to truly enjoy the book, read the King series!
4.5 King Stars. King and Pup are a top 5 favorite couple of mine and I loved this novella. Their love and chemistry are as strong as ever. The whole gang was back and setting up Pike’s story. I devoured this and can’t wait to read more!
Absolutely Brilliant and a Top Read! Our favorite cast of characters is back in the epic novella. A hurricane is coming to Logan’s Beach along with a new stranger that wants to take over the causeway and King must protect what’s his! can he keep his family safe from the storm and stay the king of the causeway? I absolutely loved this short story and that intro “bleeping” duction was EPIC!! LOL even though this is short it still packs a punch! A must read for fans of this series! Who doesn’t need more King and Doe in their lives…with a side of Preppy! Oh and all our other faves make an appearance too! Told in dual POV
A new novella featuring King & Doe from King and Tyrant is coming soon!
