A massive hurricane looms off the coast of Florida while a different kind of storm is brewing in Logan’s beach. A mysterious newcomer is vying for the title of King of the Causeway. He’ll do anything to steal the crown, including bringing someone back from King’s past who will threaten a lot more than the title King has spent his lifetime building. A hurricane is coming. And it could destroy … could destroy everything.

A new novella featuring King & Doe from King and Tyrant is coming soon!
If you’re a fan of the King series as much as I am, you do not want to miss this trip back into their world. I got a chance to revisit some of my favorite characters and see what they’ve been up to since the last time I’ve seen them. Getting inside King’s head… such a freaking treat! His love for his Doe and hers for him hadn’t faded one bit. If anything, it shone brighter.
I don’t even know where to begin in order to explain my devotion to King. He was one of my first loves when I found love for the romance genre. His tattoos, his broodiness, his alphaholeness, his beauty… literally his everything drew me to him. Like a moth to a flame, I can’t help but to keep coming back for more (at least when Frazier provides the opportunity).
This book had almost everyone from the series doing a pop in. Some stayed even longer. You all know I’m BOWTIE TIL I DIE and I was beyond thankful to get my Preppy fix. He was just as crazy and ridiculous and hilarious and glorious as always. I’m so in love with the dude.
The suspenseful parts were equal parts too short and so good. I wanted it to play out more than it did.
Again, if you love these people as much as I do, you’ll want to read this novella.
A new novella featuring King & Doe from King and Tyrant is coming soon!
Flipping heck. It’s all going on in Logan’s Beach. Ray is pregnant again, she’s not coping too well though, meanwhile King is dealing with a takeover bid for the Causeway. Lots of action and drama in this novella. A couple of weeks before the baby’s due the threat arrives, the Causeway is shut off in the middle of a hurricane and that’s just the beginning. It isn’t Ray’s first rodeo though, and she proves to King just how worthy she really is. Heart in mouth action, emotion and a touch of romance. I just love everything King. Of course Teddy Hamilton and Lucy Rivers make the audio come to life with excellent narration.
4.5 Causeway Stars
So admittedly, I’m a little late to the party as this book came out a while ago and I’ve been putting off reading because I was worried about what was coming to Logan’s Beach
But this story took a turn and headed in a direction I definitely didn’t see coming but as usual the characters I love entertained me with their usual antics and “murderous” ways
Now I can jump into Pike and know I haven’t missed too much
This author is always been a one-click for me, so when this book was announced, I preordered it immediately. This is an amazing addition to the King Series that wraps up some loose ends and clears up some mysteries surrounding the characters’ pasts. But one of the best things about this book is the subplot, where we see Rey/Doe dealing with a bad run of postpartum depression. The character’s feelings of inadequacy are ones which are felt by women around the world every day, though not often spoken about, so it was a breath of fresh air to see a female character who has been so outrageously strong throughout the entire series finally succumb to self-doubt and normal everyday female feelings. And as if we didn’t already love the men in this series enough, the other best part is the way they rally together to not only handle the violence that goes down in the main plot but also to show Rey/Doe how much she’s loved and appreciated during the time that she needs to hear it most. Even though it’s more of a novella, this is hands down one of the most fantastic books in this series and one of the most relevant books written by Ms. Frazier to date. Loved it! Wish I could give it 100 stars!
5 STARS
Ohhh Preppy!! How I missed you! The laugh out loud one liners from him are the BEST part of this novella. The things that come out of his mouth never cease to shock me! but of course I love him all the same and can never get enough. King of the Causeway is a sweet, short novella about King and Doe. There love for each other is as fierce as ever. No matter the obstacles thrown their way they get through them together and come out stronger in the end. TM Frazier has crafted a angsty suspenseful ride with this one and it was the PERFECT lead into Pike.
This bad boy is so sexy I was in love with him from the beginning.
This series is a series everyone must read. I absolutely love King & Ray together. Their love will conquer all. King & Ray is a couple that you will never forget and then their is Preppy, there is just something about him that makes you definitely want more of. Another 5 Star read that I didn’t want too put down. I’m so excited for Pike’s story.
It’s no secret that the King series is one of my all time favorite series. I love the alpha heroes, their broody demeanor, the way they posses those they love, and the way the rule the town. King of the Causeway is an extension of King and Doe’s story (the first two books in the series). And while I wish it were longer because I missed them so much, this novella was perfection as it is. Not only does T.M. Frazier highlight mental heath issues that woman face (postpartum depression) but she highlights true, all consuming love and fierceness. Gosh I swooned for King and his queen.
If you haven’t read King you MUST read that one (along with Tyrant) prior to this one. I personally recommend reading the entire series in order (including each of the spin-offs) but to fully understand KOTC you only really need King and Tyrant. Be aware though that characters from previous books; like Preppy and Bear, do make appearances here.
So I LOVED King and the first 4 books in the series. I was disappointed in this book, despite it featuring my favorite characters. First, not sure it was edited very well as there were some confusing sentences. Secondly, she literally delivered her own kid while King just watched? Huh? Seriously. That blew the believability for me. She had already risked her life (WHILE pregnant) for Max, so her delivery of her baby was overkill. Saving Max while pregnant, which is understandable, but then she never gave her unborn child one thought when she worried she was going to die. Sigh. Just doesn’t live up to the King and Tyrant books.
Liked this extension/ prequel to Pikes book. It was awesome to read more about all the characters we love from this king series. Besides the teaser the book leaves you with, I liked how this book shines a light on women awesomeness, such as how Ray, didn’t let anything or anyone, even herself get in the way of protecting her family. She acted like a boss and threw down, for strong women everywhere. The love between king and Ray is breathtaking/emotional/raw. This was an Awesome and amazing story.
A must for anyone who read King and Tyrant!
Great addition to King and Doe’s epic love story. I loved Preppy’s commentary. The ending of this will leave you wanted Pike’s book ASAP!! If you are a TM Frazier fan this book is a must read!!
Another great story in this series. I loved being back with King and Ray, the love they share is so powerful. This was a great read and now I can’t wait for Pike’s book.
Family isn’t always flesh and blood. Well, in this case, maybe just not flesh. Or… we are hurled back into the world of King, Doe, Preppy, Doc, Bear, Thea, and their ever growing broods. If you didn’t know better, you’d say they were a lawful functional family unit. But then you have Preppy.
The storm our favorite characters have to fight is both literal and figurative in this case. We get to witness their bond grow even stronger and more resilient.
“What are we going to do?” I whisper to King, cognizant that the kids are watching us and not wanting to make them as fearful as I am. “We are going to get through it,” King says, as if it’s as simple as that. I believe him because I have to believe him. Because I can’t imagine a world where any of us don’t get through it.
The 9th in TM Frazier’s King series did not disappoint. I feel it’s setting us up for even more excitement to come. If you haven’t read the first 8, you need to prior to reading King of the Causeway, as it truly is a continuation. But you won’t regret any of those one-clicks.
I mean come on what is there to say about this book?
– TM Frazier wrote it.
– A continuation of King and Ray story.
That is all you need to know to press buy and read the heck out of this book! I was onboard the moment I say it and could not wait for the release day. So to say I went in with expectations would be an understatement. But can you blame me? I love these characters; I love their story and I love how TM writes! I’m a fan. All honesty though, no rose-colored glasses in this review, I really loved this novella. There was TONS of Preppy which I appreciated. It has been so long, and so many book sine King that I sometimes forget the friendship between Preppy and Ray. He is a great shoulder for her to lean on while she struggles with an internal conflict and he is also a great wingman for King while he struggled with a very real physical conflict.
With a reputation such as King’s the idea that someone would step up and try and take the crown seems crazy. Except that is exactly what is happening and there is no going back for this crew only forward towards whatever is threatening them. King of the Causeway is a great way to continue on their OG couple while also teasing us for what is to come!

I couldn’t put this book down. ESPECIALLY after that ahhhhhmazing intro by Preppy himself.
I don’t want to give much away, but someone tries to take one of the kids. Someone that has a seriously deep connection with said child. The suspense of not knowing if the child would be saved, if everyone survived the storm unscathed and of course if Preppy didn’t kill any just because he was bored!
I absolutely loved LOVED the fact this book does talk about Ray/Doe handling post-partum depression. I haven’t had a kid and haven’t experienced it. I hope that I can be a good enough friend to my friends to help them through the good, the bad and the ugly.
I love hearing about Ray and King together with their happily ever after. Especially since they have an ever-growing family. This was a perfect extended prologue/novella for Pike’s book. I can’t wait for Pike’s book. I didn’t realize until I read this book how much I truly missed everyone

King of the Causeway was a follow up novella as part of the King series by TM Frazier. It definitely should not be read as a stand-alone and needs to be read in order.
I loved the introduction by Preppy. I wish all series books had a quick and humorous introduction. Since it had been awhile, it totally caught me up to where I needed to be to fully enjoy King of the Causeway. And then I loved it.
Frazier gave us the fun camaraderie from our favorites mixed with a new generation of kids and then a splash of suspense combined with the typical violence expected in the series. I loved the loyalty. It’s raw, real and addictive.
Frazier also set up the next story, Pike. I loved every quick word and totally can’t wait for more!
I LOVE King and Ray and I loved being back in their world even more. King of the Causeway is a great novella that brought all the characters back from the King series as they prepare to take on a new threat in town. It’s also a great teaser as to what’s to come in Pike’s book and I’m highly anticipating reading it. I will never get enough of these characters and their stories.
