While investigating the kidnapping of an actor’s child, Broch suspects a woman at the scene is the beauty who’s been haunting his dreams. Worried his reoccurring fantasies are memories of a former life in nineteenth-century Scotland, he vows to discover if the mysterious Fiona is his true love.Catriona is left confused by both her step-father’s dramatic recount of her appearance in his life and … life and her time-traveling Highlander’s waning affections. She devotes herself to the case — only to discover her romantic rival might hold the key to her own mysterious past.
* There is a partial cliff-hanger – each book stands alone for one story-line, and there is also an ongoing story arc for the series.

Nope! Another Cliffhanger ending!
If you Need to end the story with a cliff hanger, you are Not the author for Me!
If cliffhangers don’t piss you off, you might enjoy these books. They Are funny.
Oh, the humor in this book is just to my taste. Had me laughing out loud.
Again, what does a man from the past think of the wonders of the 21st century, wonders such as boxer briefs: “They’re lik’ a wee hug, doon below.”
Good book
Catriona & Broch are back! Broch is settling into his new modern life, especially hot showers! When he and Cat get embroiled in the search for an actors young son, he begins to have strange dreams where he is running after a woman who looks like Cat but seems to be called Fiona. Now troubled by flashbacks to his previous life, he is fearful that his pursuit of Cat may need to be halted due to his feeling that this other woman meant something to him – he may even be married!
Cat is also in for a bit of a shock when she learns that she was a bit of a time jumper herself, when she was a child! Lots of fun and frolics mixed in with a good suspenseful story. Fiona is not all that she appears and there are lots more family reveals for Cat to deal with!
A lot going on. Kilty is having dreams of his first love.

I received a free copy of Kilty Conscience by Amy Vansant and this review was given freely.
I didn’t read the first novel. The beginning of Kilty Conscience was a little abrupt and action packed. Coming in to multiple time travelers, a modern day romantic suspense, and 1833 Scotland love story/mystery was a little overwhelming. It took me a little time to pull the different time periods and multiple characters together to hold my interest. Thankfully the changes in era were well titled, the foreshadowing was excellent, and the witty aka sarcastic humor was good. About 1/3 of the way through I was hooked! The last 1/2 was excellent and as all good series ends with a cliffhanger.
About Those Poofy Dresses . . .
You see a half-clad Highlander on the cover and what do you expect? Mmmmm, romance! But this one will have you hopping through the centuries to unravel the mysteries of Fiona, Catriona, and Broch. Plus figuring out a few movie-set related crimes. Does this book stand alone? Well the instant issues are resolved and there are no unsolved cases but the overall story arc is best served by beginning with book 1 and reading sequentially. I’m thumbing the next book into my Kindle as I type!

More fun and mayhem, kidnapping, and murder!
Which of these crazy studio folks is just background, and who all are travelers thru time?

Confused connections of love and romance are worked out across time.
Will Broch, Sean and Catriona be able to enjoy lives together or will they be repeatedly separated by time and the troubles that come to them again and again?
I received a free advance copy, and am voluntarily offering my review.
