A unique blend of suspense, romance and laughs with just a dash of time-traveling Highlander from USA Today and Wall Street Journal best-selling author Amy Vansant. When Catriona spots a plaid posterior passed out on the Hollywood movie lot where she works, she doesn’t know her life as a fixer for Hollywood’s spoiled elite is about to grow more complicated. She wants to write-off the ridiculously … wants to write-off the ridiculously sexy, kilt-wearing Brochan as a con artist, but her adoptive father seems strangely comfortable with a man claiming to have no memory of his past or knowledge of the modern world.
A red-bearded thug, an old picture and a three hundred year-old vendetta soon have Catriona worried she could lose everything – including her mysterious time traveling Scotsman.
A Highlander followed her home…Can she keep him?

Very fun to read.
I loved this book and read the next two in the series. I’m hoping for more.
Nice time travel book.
This ticked, not only all my boxes, but most of the “what did you like” boxes. Can’t say it was Tragic, Scary or Steamy but apart from that …
I mean, what’s not to like about a time-travelling highlander and a sassy modern woman who trades in witty lines like a 50s gumshoe? Just my fave kind of irreverent rom-com with a bite.
4 stars
I received a free copy of the complex time traveling novel Kilty as Charged by Amy Vansant and read it prior to May 2017 and this review was given freely. An action packed historical time travel romance, Unfortunately I can no longer find the review to re-paste it here.
Completely enjoyable tale of an accidental time traveling highlander, Brochan, and a Hollywood “fixer” named Catriona. Light humor with just the right touch of clean romance. Loved it!
As Time Traveler’s go, this is an original take on the subject and I think this series is the best of Amy Vansant’s humorous mysteries.
There Can Be Only One!
A man in a kilt is passed out on a movie set–but he’s not an actor. How did he get there? And who is he, anyway? Written with wry humor (frequently laugh out loud funny!) the novel bounces between modern California and old Scotland.
Received this copy free for a review. I loved this story, it was quirky and fun. It is a book you can’t put down until you reached the end.
Kilty as Charged. Not just another romance.
Catriona’s job as a Fixer for a movie studio brings all sorts of unusual situations her way.
One of those situations involves a hunky young man in a kilt.
A fast paced cross country adventure that involves drug running, violence, and some fantasy themes.
Some steamy encounters, that seem a lot more real than phony romance add to the fun. Ever had a dog fart ruin that what might be “moment”? Yup.
If you like action reads, but would prefer more laughs than gore, this might be a good read for you.
Very good from start to finish
Fabulous fun! Amy Vansant is the Evanovich of Scottish time travel. Engaging, lovable characters and lots of laughs.
It’s one of the few books I’ve read that show someone having trouble adjusting to a different time, explaining what he says, and what she means and using equipment.
Any book with kilts and laughter in the same story has to be good and this one did not disappoint. Have already read the next one and it was just as good. I will be watching for this author’s books in the future.
I liked this book, and quickly ordered the sequel. An easy read with some new twists to time travel.
