Her mother, the Winter Queen, waits for Wyn in the Realms of Gods, but there are enemies who will try and prevent her from ever reaching the Realms, even if that means going to war.

From the Deeps
Who knows what ascends from the Deeps…

Thankfully, he and his two companions are prepared to help her find out why she can’t return to Earth from their house in the Mists. Now the only problem is that Macey keeps getting distracted by the three mysterious and very sexy men…
A reverse harem romance drenched in Scottish mythology.

I am a huge Skye fan so when I saw this boxset I just had to re-read them all. We get the first Winter book letting us dive into that incredible world. The first book in the Bear trilogy introduces you to some amazing shifters if that is your cup of tea. The final book shows you Macey and all of her waffley goodness that will get you hooked on the Seven Warden world. The Perfect starter set for those wanting to try paranormal reverse harem books written by an amazing author. I love them all so i give them 5/5 stars.
I love this idea of using a box set as an introduction to an author’s writing. Skye McKinnon is a wonderful author and having read several of her books, I thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to read this set. Being part Scottish, the stories really drew me in and the romance was an added delight. All three books were fun reads. I highly recommend this set to people who have not ever read anything by this author.

Winter Princess is the first book in the Daughter of Winter series. The author drew me in from the first page to the last. The book had a lot of adventure and I loved Wyn and her four sexy guardians. The whole series was amazing!
Polar Destiny was a great steamy RH! I hadn’t read a dystopian RH before, but I liked this one. I also liked the different kind of bears. Finn, the golden brown bear, Hunn and Ran, the black bear brothers, and especially Torben, the polar bear. I also like Bertrand’s panda bear.
The writing was hilarious. Ms. MacKinnon made Isla so funny and I loved that aspect of the story. The way she kept calling the guys giant teddy bears. Loved it!
I loved this series as well!
From the Deeps is the first book in the Seven Wardens series. Instead of four elements there are actually seven and they all need to come together to save the world. In this first book, we meet Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water. Macey is a Kelpie, a water horse. Cam is Wind, Flint is Fire, and they are both wraiths. Jared is Earth and an incubus.
Macey meets the three men and is instantly attracted to all of them. She also finds out there is a prophecy that she is a part of. They go on an adventure to find the next element and meet some interesting characters along the way.
I read a lot of fantasy and paranormal stories, but this book had a lot of new creatures. I liked that it was different from the usual witch or dragon (I still love those, but it’s nice to have something new).
The thing about this book is that after I read the first one, I had to read the entire series. So instead of this only taking a day to read it has taken me months from beginning to end. I have read each of these series and I love them all.
Winter Princess – Daughter of Winter Book 1
Nobody warned Wyn that her powers could come on line suddenly and erratically. She knew there would be changes but this seriously sucked. Lacking any control it is a wild and painful start to her birthday.
As things are literally burning around her she meets her guardians and finds out that her ‘human’ mother had a letter from her birth mother. This leads to anger and another flare.
The Guardians need to get her to her birth mother. This is no easy task what with magic flares. Traveling to the nearest gate to the realm, is fraught with challenges including an attempted kidnapping.
We meet lots of interesting characters in this book, including some reformed demons.
Lots of action, humor, tears and some sizzle.
Rescued by Bears – Claimed By Bears Book 1 (Formerly Polar Destiny)
Isla’s Uncle has decided she should marry, the one he has chosen is the man who was married to her best friend. When Isla found her tied up and beaten she frees her. Julie was never seen or heard from again, a boat was missing and Isla had been punished for it.
Sort of resigned to her fate, her wedding coincides with the celebration of the Winter Solstice. With many revelers she wanders away then starts running across the vast expanse of frozen ocean. Eventually she collapses from the cold not expecting to wake.
Instead Isla wakes wrapped in warmth by a fire. Unwrapping herself she starts to explore her surroundings.
After meeting the men who rescued her from certain death, she is given the attic room to sleep. Unfortunately for the men she hears their conversation and tries to flee injuring her ankle.
of course you know nothing is going to be easy and the number of OMG moments are many.
Lots of changes, surprises and sizzling romance in this first book of the series. I can’t wait to read the next one.
From the Deeps – Seven Wardens Book 1
This book will set the premise for the rest of the series. There are some seriously intense scenes in this book, so if you don’t like that sort of thing, this book isn’t for you.
The book opens with us meeting Macey, she’s a kelpie currently living on land among humans. Something all young kelpies are meant to do. Unfortunately or fortunately her father has bound her powers, although she can do a partial shift or if in water shift to her kelpie form. Her brothers Bruce and Jerry, the Crown Princes are fighting, again. After threatening to call their Aunt Nettie, she had gone to read. When the lights go out, things are about to radically change for everyone.
There’s a mist surrounding the house, her brothers are unconscious and something hits her in the head as she collapses in someone’s arms.
Suffice to say Macey doesn’t exactly expect to fall for who she believes are her captors. At first there are extenuating circumstances that have her lusting after all of them, Jared’s fault. He’s an incubus who has been starving himself. Then there’s Camden who ‘saved’ her and Flint who was a just a bit annoyed, then very interested in her.
They need answers but the Staran has a mind of it’s own when they travel through it. We meet several interesting characters as the puzzle continues. They know they will need to find Ice to free Lightening and Macey keeps being attacked by a ‘Voice’ in her head. The Voice has Lightening, is leading Ice into a trap and it wants Macey. It seems to be collecting the Wardens and Macey needs her powers unlocked without returning to the loch to have her father do it.
Fast-paced with excitement, some laughs, kindle melting sizzle and so much more.
