Taking a moment to just BREATH!!! This book was a lot of emotions and love. I love all the twist and turns.
First of all EVA And Clive are so good together. This series was really good written. Eva is someone every woman wants to be and Clive is everything a woman wants. He is Book Boyfriend material.
I’m hoping that we get more books.
I want to know more about the friends.
In the final book of the In the Light of Shadows series Killing Eva is going to leave you stunned! Clive and Eva are in love and finally have that perfect romance, but that informant is just getting started with tormenting Eva. With Clive’s past haunting him and Eva on the brink of corporate ruin it won’t take much for the informant to get the couple to let their guard down, so he can get close to Eva. Clive and their friends will stop at nothing to keep the informant from Killing Eva. This story is a roller coaster of action, drama and so much sexual tension you can cut it with a knife. Camellia Hart is an excellent author and brought these characters to life. Obviously knowing what true love really is, Hart perfectly described Clive and Eva’s whirlwind romance. Killing Eva is another 5-star read for Camellia Hart. So now can we have a story with Allie/ Marc or Izzy/ Carter or Trevor/Tina? Please Mrs. Hart???
WHAT A CONCLUSION!! In Light of Shadows series was epic! The entire series had me on the edge of my seat and I was so excited to read the finale. Camellia Hart did an amazing job with the conclusion! FIVE HUGE STARS!!
Killing Eva is book 3 in the Light of Shadows Series. This is a series that MUST be read in order. Each book continues where the last one left off so you definitely need to start with Chasing Eva.
In this thrilling ending to an amazing series we finally get answers to the questions that have been haunting us from the first book. Not only are we faced with finding out who is behind the informant giving away the secrets about Eva’s company, but Clive’s past is also being brought up by a mysterious person and threatening everything the two of them have built.
The chemistry between Eva and Clive is still off the charts. The way that Clive is there to support Eva in everything going on in her life made me love him even more.
This book had me on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen next. Throughout this series I have tried to make guesses as to who the informant is and who the informants employer is, but once I began reading this final book I was dying to figure it out even more. Every time I thought I had something figured out a new twist or turn would be thrown into the mix.
This is a must read book and series for sure. It has heartbreak, romance, suspense, drama and everything in between. You will not be disappointed. – By Alisa
What a fabulous ending to a wonderful series. Clive and Eva continue to face challenges both personal and with their relationship. The informant is still a threat to Eva which has kicked Clive’s protective instincts into overdrive. But in spite of it all Clive and Eva are ready to take the next step in their relationship. I really enjoyed this book, it was well written, had an engaging storyline with twists/turns, suspense, drama, danger, surprises and plenty of steam. This book was a real rollercoaster ride that kept me turning the pages from beginning to end. Highly recommend.
I received an advanced readers copy and am voluntarily leaving a honest review.
Killing Eva is the ending of the romantic suspense trilogy by Camellia Hart. A lot of things going to happen as Clive and Eva will discover who is threatening their love and business. The previous books had lots of loose ends and I was waiting to see how the author tie them up. She did a good job!
The story could have been little bit more concise as I was loosing interest at some points. May be it is me as I have trouble getting into the story when the characters have long inner monologues describing each and every emotion. The suspense and sensual parts mixed well together. I loved Clive and Eva’s characters. I wish the side characters were a bit more complex. Clive is the typical billionaire alpha we all love to read about. Eva’s character had the balance of strength and vulnerability. The story went into a lot of detailing including the settings, the cities and all the family members. It was commendable how the author kept track of all the minute details and did a fabulous job.
I liked her writing. It was full of passion and emotions. You could feel she is pouring her hearts in the pages and that impressed me. Overall a good book if you love romance!
The grand finale! Wow
Camellia Hart thank you for this fantastic book.
What an ending!
Clive & Eva truly deserves an HEA after so much they went through.
I genuinely enjoy this trilogy, the conclusion, the plot, the books were well written, full of action and suspense.
I felt the sex scenes weren’t deep, but was sweet enough, how their relationship mature over the three books, how Clive could be alpha but could let her go time to time, a lot of twists and turns that kept on my sit most of the time.
So on this last book, I can finally say.
5 Amazing well-written stars!!!
If I had any reservations about this series, which I didn’t, this book would have blown them out of the water! I was suitably curious after the first book and completely invested by the second, so this one was the icing on the cake for me. I adore Eva and Clive so I was eager to read the conclusion of their story, and Killing Eva did not disappoint. Twists, turns and surprises abounded, with plenty of steam and a nice dose of humor, but the mystery and suspense are what kept me hooked. I was shocked to find out the identity of the antagonist, but as I suspected, looking back I could find the breadcrumbs leading right up to the bad guy. This series is an exciting, compelling read and I definitely recommend it.
Suspenseful ending to this amazing series. Loved it. Never once believed it could have been who it was. Shocking. But absolutely loved this series characters and storyline. Twists turns and suspense with steamy scenes added in.I loved Eva and Clive. I loved how well written this was and how gripping it is. Pulls you in from book one and has you holding on until the end to figure out who the informant is. Great job with this series. Highly recommend.
Clive and Eva captured me in Chasing Eva. Then I felt the gut wrenching fear and happiness for them in Loving Eva. Now, in the conclusion, Killing Eva I have gone through the gambit. Fear for Eva at several turns, agony for Clive, despair that they would not find the answers they needed anger for who the culprit was, and joy in the end.
Camellia Hart gave me a wonderful story and paced it out so well that I am anxious to see where she goes next in her writing. Read these stories. You will be happy you found another favorite author.
Note for Camellia: Give us more. 🙂
Thrilling conclusion to Eva & Clive’s story!! Of course they get their HEA, even from Chasing Eva, that’s a given. The perfect combination of steamy & thriller. Loved it!! Very enjoyable read! Even among the nerve wracking conclusion, there is still humor. Love all the characters. I hope we get books for Allie & Izzy too! I received an adcance copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Wow, just Wow…In the final book of Camelia Hart’s Series, Killing Eva there are so many twists and turns and “I did not see that coming.” Clive will do anything to protect Eva but in the end, his instincts are a little off. Will Clive and the FBI be able to save her before it is too late?
I can’t give any type of spoiler for this book it is gripping. The book and the Series are so worth the buy. If I could give this book more than five stars I would.
Killing Eva is the third and final book in Camillia Hart’s In The Shadows trilogy. We finally learn who is the informant and why he/she wants Eva out of S.F. Designs. This is a story of romance, trust, facing your fears, and suspense.
I enjoyed watching Eva’s and Clive’s relationship become even more cemented. They continue to have great chemistry and some of those scenes are steamy. Clive is still very protective and supportive of Eva and occasionally blames himself for things that happen. He encourages Eva to face her biggest fear. Eva is still that strong heroine who wants to continue her father’s legacy and not give in to the informant. The author did a good job of addressing how one feels when experiencing a crippling fear and how it remains scary while working through it. Some of my favorite secondary characters are a little more prominent in this book, which I really liked. I would love for some of them to get their own books, especially Izzy, Carter, and Ryan.
All of the loose ends are tied up in this book. The mystery continues throughout Killing Eva until the last 15%. I will say that I was able to figure out the culprit pretty quickly, but I still enjoyed the book – wanting see what lengths this person would go to, seeing how the everyone figured it out, and learning about why this person was after Eva. Like Loving Eva, the book is predominantly told from Clive’s and Eva’s POV, but there are some chapters interspersed throughout the that are told from the informant’s POV. I think that this was wise on the author’s part. This book didn’t end abruptly as the other two and it was tied up nicely with an epilogue.
I received this book as an ARC and I voluntarily leave this review.
4-4.25 STARS
After a much anticipated wait, the last installment to author Camellia Hart’s In the Light of Shadows series, “Killing Eva,” finally hit my Kindle. And I couldn’t have been more excited to finally delve between the pages to the conclusion of Eva and Clive’s tumultuous journey.
Suspense-laden and steaming hot, “Killing Eva” showcases Eva and Clive’s passionate relationship while slowly releasing the breadcrumbs that eventually lead to the unveiling of Eva’s mysterious perpetrator.
While the ending felt a bit contrived and came not at all as a surprise, I enjoyed revisiting Eva, Clive, and all the familiar characters I had come to know and love. Still a compelling story with the requisite HEA, “Killing Eva” is a satisfying conclusion to a series’ favorite.
I have waited for this book since forever and I’m super stoked that Camellia has finally written it.
This book is not only a long awaited love story but a mystery that has so many twists, just as you think it’s coming to an end there’s another twist. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat.
Eva is being threatened into stepping down from the running of her company. Clive, her handsome, alpha boyfriend will stop at nothing to protect her and try as he might for some reason the culprit is still able to get to Eva on numerous occasions but she can never get a look at his face, so who could it be and why?
Since Clive and Eva reconnected the chemistry has been charged and they can’t seem to get enough of each other. Maybe it was due to the 15 years apart or maybe they just love each other that much.
I felt sorry for Eva’s tormentor and was actually sad when his end came but then knew that something had to come to light soon, hoping Eva would survive. What could possibly be motivating her tormentor?
This book is action packed and full of mystery with an ending I was not really ready for. This book is another 5 star for me.
Let me just start off by saying that you should read, Chasing Eva and Loving Eva, before you read this book, which is the third in the set. This book starts of with the suspense and intrigue right from the first chapter. Clive thought he had a pretty good handle on the security surrounding Eva, but an innocent mistake puts her in the path of the person who has been harassing her. After her encounter with the informant on the ski slope, they at least have some idea of who this guy really is. The big question remains. Who is ultimately behind this evil plan to get Eva to step down from her company? Clive starts having horrible dreams about Olivia’s death after someone decides to cause trouble by dredging up the past. Soon, he starts dreaming about his beloved Eva dying and it drives him to be very overprotective. His fears soon come true when Eva vanishes into thin air. That is when pretty much everyone becomes a suspect. I feel so bad for the anguish that he is going through, wondering if Eva is alive or dead. Poor Eva, finds herself in a precarious situation with her life in jeopardy. Honestly, the whole mastermind behind this was the last person I would have expected. Can Eva find it in herself to face her biggest fears and survive to make it back to the man she loves? I This book kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. Plus, I adored the relationship between Clive and Eva. Great job, Ms. Hart! This set will remain one of my favorites!
I LOVE IT! 🙂
I’m worried to write a review because I’m afraid it will have ALL. THE. SPOILERS!
What I can say is this: You will DEFINITELY NOT see that ending. The plot twist about 75% of the way through? Holy cow. That was intense.
The romance? Amazing. Clive and Eva? Spectacular. The discussions about their wedding? Hilarious, funny, adorable, and in love with the choices.
This series was PERFECT! 🙂 <3 <3
I read a free copy for an honest review.
This book is the conclusion of the series.
Finally there is substance in the relationship between Eva and Clive. You can finally sense affection and a conntion between the two characters and not just sex, sex, sex.
The rest of of the story is a bit preditctible, including who the person is who has been secrectly tormenting Eva, however I will not giveaway any spoilers.I also could see the direction the story was going half way through (perhaps I read too many mysteries).
The book was the best of the trilogy and you most likely won’t be disappointed.
At first, I was a little frustrated because it has been one year since I read book two and I could not remember the storyline. I had to go back to book one and two to refresh my memory. Once that was done, I was able to get into book three, Killing Eva. I felt the story was stretched out because the main scenes of the book were the love scenes between Clive and Eva. (they were sexy and hot) It seemed Clive has an insatiable need for sex with Eva. Then the other topic which was not indulged with enough was the steps taken to find out about the person behind the real danger that Eva faced. I felt some of the steps were too short, were abruptly added and ended quickly. It never really divulging the history of that character and how and why they were added to the book. In the end the perpetrator of all of Eva’s evils was someone in her inner circle. Throughout book three the case for the villain, I feel, could have been written better. The author could have strewed the clues about more effectively. Overall the story was good but this book has room for improvement. I received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
