A Dark Deliciously Twisted tale
Oh my. Where do I begin. I’ve read this non stop and might have finished within a couple hours. Yep, just couldn’t stop turning the pages.
This book is sinister and dark and oh so deliciously entrancing. Luka and Sofia, their story had me hanging onto each word, each page wanting to know what happens next.
Oh my, I fell for Luka so hard. Sofia is one lucky woman but poor thing sure deserves someone like him for what she has been through. But salvation does come for her in the form of luka.
Right from page 1, when we see Luka and Sofia meet each other for the first time to how circumstances bring them together mostly for Sofia being a brave women. I loved how strong she was, to yet find a way from what she knew was an unavoidable fate for her.
I also absolutely loved fox’s character and that ending, I’m just glad I have the next book in the series to binge onto.
A MUST MUST READ FOR SURE FOR MAFIA LOVERS. Loved loved freaking loved this one. 5 +++ stars.
Liked the story. Loved luka. He was the one you were drawn to from the beginning. He has this air about j. Yes mafia and can certainly kill with the best of them but he is not a horrible person. And he certainly treats others with respect. Unlike Giovanni. So glad Sofia got to make a choice for herself. Yes it was in spite but that was her only choice and she chose to take it away from gio. I would have done the same if I was faced with a life of no choices and and no voice. Loved when they let their secret be known. Looking forward to more luka and Sofia.
Luka is not a good man, but he has a soft spot for Sophia Zappia. She is the adopted daughter of his enemy. She begs for Luka’s help, and he cannot say no. Being a mafia man, Luka expects something in return. He will free her from the Zappia crime family. She will then belong to him – body, heart, and soul. She is about to find out why he is not a good man.—Luka and Sophia met when they were children. They felt a connection even then. It continued the next time they saw each other, the night before her wedding. Luka was alive when Sophia was around, and she felt protected with him. He was a good man with Sophia, and I enjoyed the story about them. The last two chapters of the book ae a prequel to another book regarding a character in this book. That was a disappointment. An epilogue would have been much better.
The tension that runs like a blood red thread through the whole story, kept me on my toes and almost killed me!
There were so many moments when my breath almost stopped …
It is almost unbearable to see how the two main protagonists Luka and Sofia fight through all the twists and turns of this plot and their predicament…
Ms. Drake described them so vividly that I could picture them standing in front of me in real life with every detail of their appearance and behaviour!
What a series starter! Wow, WOW, W.O.W ! ! !
This was crazy. This isn’t an old school family but a psychotic family with totally twisted views of women and their place in the family.
Young Luka and Sophia’s first meeting breaks your heart. But I stood up and cheered with Sophia’s second meeting.
I read and reviewed a copy of this book.
I am blown away! The Zappia way made Sofia the woman she is from a little girl, if only choices were given could have determined the rise or fall of the Zappia clan. But due to being of everything except being seen as a vessel for carrying on the bloodline, technically she still did with the blood she had to bleed. Luka is a strong, brooding type of man that can be gentle no matter the kind of devastation his hands could cause. Their love is pure and passionate, growing no matter the obstacles.

This is the first book I’ve read by this author and I loved every word of it. The story is quite dark and there is lots of action along with some romance. It’s a very well written story that I found entertaining and difficult to put down once I’d started reading it. I enjoyed the characters, they seemed well rounded and had depth. If dark is your thing then grab this book and enjoy.

I was so excited when Tabatha decided to start re-releasing these books from her Snake Eyes series under her new dark & dirty pen name, Tabatha Drake. I adored this series and the expanded & updated first story reaffirmed my adoration.
The first novel was known as Bloodlines, so for those who have read it, this novel will feel familiar, but it isn’t the exact same. It is Sofia Zappia & Luka Lutrova’s story. She’s the possession of the Zappia’s. They rule the Italian mafia. Luka is the son and protector of the Lutrova family, Russian mafia and uneasy partners with the Italians.
I am an action & intrigue junkie, as well as romance. This novel introduced us to the never-ending threat through the novels. As the Lutrovas say, “Never let a snake loose in Moscow”. And the snake is always lurking in this book.
I love strong, smart, determined Sofia. Smiling in the faces of those she hates, biding her time. And protective, always aware Luka. And they are attracted to each other like magnets. Nothing will keep them apart.
We also meet Fox Fitzgerald. He will play a huge role in everything. We also meet Him Zappia and his family as well as Nina, Luka’s mother, Yuri, his brother, and a few other Lutrovas. I mentioned I love this story, right? This dark, dirty, intrigue-filled story gives me so much happy, my heart is over-flowing.

This is a must read, story. I couldn’t let it go. Needed to know what was happening next.
Two mob families – from the outside they are friends, but…
One Russian and one Italian family, with totally different ways of behaving in the family. Even if Luka doesn’t say anything at the time they visit the Italian family and see how they treat their women, his mind is shouting. Is the peace between them really worth it?

Two families, one truce, and the beautiful little girl grows up to want more
What an amazing story Killer Love is. I was quite literally blown away at the depth of emotion that was weaved through the story of Tabatha and Luka. There is such love between them but also the potential of war if they do get together.
This story was filled with secrets, lies, death, danger, love, submission and a number of twists and turns so that the reader is left at the end still buzzing.
I received a free ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Loved the book it was great the story was well written and the characters were interesting. Sophia was raised in a family for their son she was tortured when she refused. Luka his faily are mobsters and he met Sophia, the chemistry was hot and you kept reading you were scared that you will miss something.
Thank you for allowing me to review this book it was great.

Remake of the Snake Eyes books with edits and additions. This story is about two mob families who formed an alliance together to try and keep their families from the Snake. Sophia is an adopted daughter in the Zappia family. She was brought up to marry Gio in the Zappia family. Held captive and abused, Sophia wants out. Luka is in the Lutrova family and meets Sophia as a child. Years later she is getting ready to marry Gio who enjoys torturing her. Luka wants to help Sophia but it will go against the truce these families have. Loved, loved, loved this story. Suspenseful and intriguing with a fast paced story. Definitely recommend.

I loved this book and luka and sofia’s story is a complicated one, one that tests all boundaries, add an adorable little boy, unrequited love , plenty of action and we have a hit. Having previously read this book before when the series was called Snake Eyes it was really nice to catch up with all the players again. I loved this series first time round and i cant wait to revisit the series again. Looking forward to visiting with Fox next.
Luka and Sophia were meant to be
I first read Luka and Sophia’s story back when it was the last book in the Snake eyes series. I was more than thrilled that Tabatha brought them back as the first and redid the whole series. This story was sweet, steamy and swoon-worthy. Luka is every girls bad boy dream with a heart of soft marshmellow. Sophia is a strong woman who bids her time and sticks were it hurts most. Their chemistry and passion jumps off the page. Ms. Drake writes their story so well that you cant help but keep reading. I’m looking forward to Dani and Fox’s story next!

If you love mafia romance, mystery, action and forbidden love, then you have it in Killer Love. I read this sometime ago when it was under the title Bloodlines by Tabatha Kiss. Well I can say it was well worth the reread. In Tabatha Kiss’s newsletter she said there was some slight changes in the story and the order has changed. I did not notice the changes and will reserve judgement on order change. I have a feeling the order change will work. Now for the review. The prologue brought me into the story and the story kept my attention till the end. There are some parts of the story that are a little hard to believe but I was okay with that after all it’s fiction. I really liked Sofia and how strong she is, I found myself rooting for her. I found Luka very likable even though he is a mafia enforcer. Sofia and Luka together are a force to be reckoned with. Tabatha Drake ended Killer Love with a great setup for the second book Secret Love. I found Killer Love worth reading. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader’s copy
I was totally hooked from the very beginning with the great plot and well defined characters that as I turned each and every page I felt like Sofia and Luka pulled me right into their story as it effortlessly unfolded!
I really enjoyed Luka and Sofia’s story. I couldn’t get enough. Ms Drake talent for storytelling is amazing. The story gave me a Romeo and Juliet vibe and I’m a sucker for forbidden love.

Sofia is meek on the outside but has a steel spine. She is the opposite of a “Zappia Woman”. She has a devious mind and you will love her. Luka is a mafia prince with a soft spot for Sophia. They make a connection as children that spans years. Sophia asks Luka to do the unthinkable. When secrets are spilled, blood and war follow. These two young lovers have a lot to overcome to get to their HEA. Fast pace and a thrilling ride.

A great read that had me flipping the pages to find out how it all will end for Luka and Sofia. Luke is the “bodyguard” in his mafia family and when he was younger he met Sofia, the adopted daughter of another mob family who they made a truce with. He hasn’t seen Sofia in years and remembers the scared young girl who is being raised to be a wife to one of the sons she was adopted into. Sofia has no way of escaping the archaic traditions and ideals of the family she was being raised in. Beaten and kept silent she is now ready to marry Gio, a man who enjoys torturing her. Will Luka save her or will she stay trapped in the he** she so badly wants to escape.
A great read with dark dark themes, some steam, suspense and action as their story is told from a young age, to the marriage, to when a secret is revealed that rips both families apart and brings them to their knees. I was a bit torn after the wedding and what Sofia had to endure and who she was with, I understood why but I saw it as cheating. Even with that fact, I still enjoyed the read as the story flowed beautifully, Sofia was strong and resilient and Luka was yummy yummy yummy along with a few twists that had me devouring the book…can’t wait to see what happens next.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
This is such a great start to this series. I haven’t read the Snake Eyes series, so this was a great surprise. I just love Luka and Sofia. These two are from two different families, but have a strong connection. That connection started when they were young children. Now, Luka will do whatever it takes to keep Sofia and Lucian safe and protected. This has action, suspense, death, deceit, and twists and turns. I was hooked by the very beginning and was on the edge of my seat to see how it ended. I can’t wait to read the next book and see all the characters I met in this book. These two are so perfectly matched for each other. Don’t miss out on this series. It is definitely a do not miss. Tabby absolutely knows how to grab you and leave you wanting more with her stories.
