I left a job I was very good at to seek a better life. The new life is boring. I get up. I go to classes. I avoid people. That last one isn’t a new thing for me, though. I never much liked people before and now that I’m in college, I’m finding that it’s for good reason. People knock on my door, play their music loudly in public, and ask me invasive questions that I pretend I don’t hear. I shut it … it out because I need to stay on this new path.
Then I saw her and found myself slipping back into bad habits that I thought I packed away with my black gloves, camouflage scope, and special weapons case. But what’s a reformed assassin going to do when he develops a killer crush?

Killer Crush is definitely a book I’m going to go back to if I find myself needing some extra overprotective alpha loving!
If you like books with a dirty talking man, who will do whatever it takes to protect the woman he loves (yes even kill) then this is the book for you!
Both Daman and Quinn are naive about the outside world, but in completely different ways. Whereas Daman knows the evil that walks the Earth and has killed many people who may or may not have deserved it, he’s very unskilled when it comes to interacting and even putting boundaries on a person’s personal space. Whereas Quinn has been protected all her life by her father and his men, so she’s grown up with a kind and loving heart. She doesn’t understand why people do the evil things they do.
If I had one complaint on this story, I really would’ve liked to known how and why Daman got into the hitman career path he did, especially at the age of 17 maybe 18?
**I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book**
Daman Jones is a twenty five year old retired assassin who has decided to try and be normal by going to college. Daman lacks the social aspect though and finds that he is struggling with finding normal, that is until he sees Quinn. Daman knows Quinn is going to be his girl, and with some creative decisions he pursues her but he has no idea what he is doing. Quinn though feels something instantly with with Daman but what happens when she finds out who Daman really is?
This was fun, I thought Daman was interesting and trying so hard to win Quinn that he goes out of his way to fit in, he doesn’t but it is sweet all the same. I thoroughly enjoyed this story.
Ella Goode is really my impressing me with the range of her book plots. From high school sweethearts, adult aged stories, and now college romance! Killer Crush is just as unique and interesting as Killer Love because they both are about the H’s being involved in killing as their profession at some point in their lives. Daman was so cute and grisly in my opinion, and I loved him for Quinn. He may have a different past of problems from Quinn, but she is so accepting and loving of everything that comes with being Daman. A great couple!
I kind of loved this story. It was entertaining and fun but also sweet and enjoyable. The characters were interesting. I thought that Trin was a great friend to Quinn although at first, I wasn’t sure I was going to like her.

Daman and Quinn are awesome. Daman is all-in as soon as he sees Quinn and knows that he has to protect her from ANYTHING or ANYONE that might try to harm her. He is a little over the top about it but in a good way. Quinn isn’t sure what to think about his reactions, but since Daman is hot and sweet to her she is willing to give him a chance. I did a lot of laughing during this which was probably inappropriate but I’m sure that I’ll do it over and over again! I loved their happy ever after and I recommend reading this book!

My review :
Will his past be too much for her …
I do not know why this book popped up in my feed line, but once I read the blurb, I needed to get it.
It took me some days to find the right time to read it, and I understood the many good reviews.
It could have been the classic lust-love at first sight, guy meets girl at college, but here stop all similarities, as Daman is not the usual frat boy, older, colder, he had a job before and not the basic job.
So when he falls instantly for Quinn, his first reaction is not to flirt but to kidnap her and stalk her.
His brain has be conditioned by years of training and missions, so he sees things from an other eye, and acts the only way he knows.
Quinn is the overprotected shy girl, so Daman awkwardness with people but willingness to please her immediately call her to him. With him, she feels secure and protected.
I can’t tell much as this is a short and it would be sad to spoil the plot, still for a fast read, it was entertaining, steamy and fun.
4.5 stars

Loved this wonderful story!!!
Daman is twenty-five and a retired hitman, he’s decided to go to college but it seems he is always calculating the best way to pull off a hit on someone. Then he locks eyes with Quinn and everything changes, because he first instinct is to kidnap her and protect her from everything bad in the world. Can an ex-hitman get a HEA??? Grab this book and find out, you won’t be disappointed!!
