From the bestselling author of The Social Affair and HER comes an intense and deadly provocative thriller which follows a woman who, in a fight for survival, realizes her job may cost more than it pays.“This tale of seduction, obsession, and murder will resonate with fans of Patricia Highsmith. The pace is fast, the prose is smooth, and the plot genuinely twisty.”Several times a week, Charlotte … twisty.”
Several times a week, Charlotte Jones leaves suburbia behind and boards a chartered flight to parts unknown, where she wraps her hands around the necks of marks for just as long as she has to.
Then she goes back to domestic life with a paycheck, defense wounds, and the sense that she can handle anything.
Which is good, because being a wife, mother, and sociopath, with an insatiable taste for murder, gives the term work-life balance new meaning. When one life unexpectedly bleeds into the other, leading to a secret admirer and borderline insta-fame, Charlotte is forced to ask herself if she really can have it all.
Slick and unsettling, Kill, Sleep, Repeat is a cunning tale of deception and desire that begs the question: Do we ever really know people the way we think we do?

WoWoWoW, I know I say this all the time, but Britney King has really hit it out of the park with her new novel Kill Sleep Repeat: A Psychological Thriller!
As has been the case with the previous Britney King books I have read, Kill Sleep Repeat is full of grit and graphic things that are sure to trigger a lot of people. If you are going to read this then you need to be a person that likes the dark and disturbing and won’t mind triggers. There are also lots of unlikable characters, but I found that even though Charlotte Jones is meant to be unlikable I actually really liked her. It was almost like a Dexter thing, and you can’t help but love someone that badass. I am all about strong female leads, even if they do happen to be murdering people.
King didn’t disappoint me in the least with Kill Sleep Repeat and it was an incredibly quick, one-sitting read which I have come to know and love about this author’s books. I read it in a little less than 2.5 hours and I just couldn’t stop reading. I was highly satisfied with the ending and I know Britney King fans are going to love this new book from her amazingly twisted mind.
Final Thought: If you haven’t read a book by this author yet then what are you waiting for? At times graphic, and always dark and disturbing, Kill Sleep Repeat is not for the faint of heart but it is a highly satisfying novel that will leave you breathless. I can’t wait to see what she comes up with next!
Thank you to the author for providing me with an advance review copy of this book! All opinions and thoughts are my own.
Kill, Sleep, Repeat by Brittany King

Charlotte is a suburban housewife, mother, flight attendant…killer?! her husband Michael an architect, the perfect normal family right? Think again! Crack open the cover on this book and be prepared to not move until you are done. Kill, Sleep, Repeat grabs you from the beginning and takes you for a ride that will blow your mind, will leave you gasping, frantically wanting more from this author! I received an ARC of this book and am so glad I can leave my opinion of this book….Read it!!

In my opinion, no one does psychological thrillers better than Britney King. One of the things that I like best about her novels is that she is superb at developing her female protagonists. Typically, her female protagonists are very real, complex, strong, independent, flawed, conflicted, multi-dimensional women. In Kill, Sleep, Repeat her female character, Charlotte Jones, basically displays all of these traits, but takes them to a whole new level of intensity for a Britney King character.
Charlotte is, simply stated, not a nice woman. Charlotte is a sociopath who has an insatiable appetite for murder. She finds satisfaction in killing to be even better than sex. Charlotte prefers her killing up close and personal, with a knife or her hands. Since she began killing as a college student, she has shown no remorse and has honed her skills.
Charlotte works for a chartered flight service that is part of her agency that several times a week sends her to utilize her killing skills. Then Charlotte returns to her domestic life as a wife, the mother of two daughters, and a suburban housewife.
A very real and all too common event from the news becomes a turning point in Charlotte’s personal and professional life. Charlotte is accompanying her younger daughter to a grocery store to buy ingredients to make brownies for her younger daughter’s boyfriend when a shooting breaks out in the store. Needless to say, Charlotte is better trained and experienced as to how to handle this type of event compared with the average store patron. Among other things, Charlotte was carrying a gun and shoots and kills the perpetrator. This leads to inevitable, but undesired, publicity and an unwanted “admirer” for Charlotte.
This is when a lot of unexpected twists and turns begin and things basically go off the rails for Charlotte. Most of these events were unexpected but one major event could be predicted by astute readers based on events from earlier in the book.
The action is taunt and unsettling. The descriptions of both sex and violence tend to be a bit more graphic than in Ms. King’s earlier books but appropriately in line with the character development of Charlotte and the plot.
I absolutely loved the book! I especially found the ending to be satisfying. Most definitely another 5-star psychological thriller from Britney King.
I received an uncorrected advanced reading copy (ARC) directly from the author in return for an honest review. My review is provided voluntarily.
