KhloeWhen Khloe Devaro’s best friend and fiancé is lost to the war in Iraq, she’s beyond distraught. Her intentions of joining him in the afterlife are thwarted by a Cerberus Motorcycle club member. Too young to do anything on her own, the only alternative she has now is to take Kid up on his offer to stay at the MC Clubhouse. As if that’s not a disaster waiting to happen, but anything is better … is better than returning to the foster home she’s been forced to live in the last three years.
“Kid”
Dustin “Kid” Andrews spent four years as a Marine; training, fighting, and learning how to survive the most horrendous of conditions. He never imagined that holding a BBQ fundraiser for a local fallen soldier would end up as the catalyst that turns his world upside down. Resisting his attraction for a girl he’s not even certain is of legal age was easy, until he’s forced to intervene when her intentions become clear. All his training is wasted as far as he’s concerned, since none of that will help him when it comes to Khloe.
Will the self-proclaimed man-whore sleep with a woman in every country he visits as planned, or will the beautiful, yet feisty girl living down the hall throw a wrench in his plan?

Marie has done it again. The Cerberus guys are great. I think I went to through every emotion with this book. At one point I wanted to scream, and other times I wanted to cry. Overall, it was such a good book, I would endure the emotions to get a story such as this.
One of the great things about this series is that the books are just the right length for an afternoon read, plus, the story-lines are terrific. Once a lifelong friend, Alec, is killed while on military deployment, his Khloe’s life changes forever. Raised in foster care, no relatives at all, alone and making life-altering decisions becomes her future. There are heartbreaking moments that will make you cry; there are challenges that make you think; and, decisions made that make you remember. I enjoyed this book and recommend it for those who enjoy action, romance and sensual scenes.
Khloe meet Kid when she thought that her life was over. Hell Kid wasn’t looking for anyone that would turn his life upside down. Then he helps Khloe and that’s what happens.
I would like to say that this couples story is one where they are able to reach their HEA with hardly any hurdles. But, then I would be lying. Things happen that tear them apart even before they are even really able to be together. Things that made me want to beat the shit out of Kid along with a few others, that I didn’t do anything to stop the train wreck from happening. Even when he realizes what he did there was a chance that his fuck-up was too big.
Khloe was a very strong female character that I found myself wanting to see get the ending of a fairy tale. And she definitely deserved it after what James put her thru. Out of the three books so far in this series, this one has been my favorite. And again I cannot wait to get my hands on the next book.
Khloe spent the better part of her life in foster care, bouncing from one abusive home to the next. When is ‘fiance’ is killed overseas, she decides that there is nothing left in this life for her. That was her ticket out of where she is when she turned 18.
Enter Kid who saves a lost Khloe and brings her into the club. He is determined to show her that her life has meaning but didn’t intend to fall for the not quite legal Khloe.
We all know the saying about good intentions…
These two have quite the road ahead of them as they navigate their attraction to each other.
In the end, it was such a wonderful story of finding love after a life of heartbreak.
Kid is Book 2 in the Cerberus MC Series. After reading book one I couldn’t wait to read Kid’s story. He was such a good friend to Emmalyn.
Khloe has lost her best friend and fiancé. He died while away on a tour in Iraq. She has an awful foster family that doesn’t care about her. She’s heartbroken and has lost the will to live..
Kid finds Khloe and wants to help her. He takes her to the clubhouse, knowing things aren’t going to be easy. Her age will cause all kinds of trouble.
Can he save Khloe? Will he be able to fight his feelings for her?
Love this series. Can’t wait to read more.

Marie James sure knows how to keep you coming back for more… I’m so ready for the next book and I just finished this one. Before I start I will say this is part of a series, you must read book 1 before reading this, book 1.5 is actually explained in this book so I don’t feel you need to read that one but def need book 1 or you will be lost.
Khloe’s life is now in shatters, her fiancée is dead, his parents kicking her out of her home. She is going to give up…. until Kid shows up in the right place at the right time. Kid ends up showing Khloe there is more out there for her and there are good people still in the world. There is a whole lot more going on obviously but I’m not sharing.
This story was for me amazing! This is one of Marie James’ that doesn’t have as much of the sexy times, you will understand why when you read it… but she makes up for it by giving you some really HOT scenes. There was so much going on in this story and I feel that Marie James handled it perfectly. This is def in my reread pile. I give this 5 stars.

So book 2 in this series has some drama, some grief, some humour, some sweet and sexy times, and basically had just enough of everything to make this a 5 star read for me. Yes, there may have been hardly any sexy time, but that was fine. I didn’t even notice until the end anyway, lol.
Kid was a great character that we’d met in book 1, we just got to see more of him here. Khloe… what a crappy hand she’d been dealt but despite a moment of weakness, she shone, strived and became strong again under the wing of Kid, Emmalyn and the Cerberus MC brothers.
I really enjoyed Kid, and am looking forward to book 3.
I love Kid. I knew deep down once he felt for a woman it was gonna be hard. There was some things keeping them apart towards the middle/end of the story but I think the author did a great job with that. As a child that was in the system I thought the author did a great job when it came to talking about how it is when aging out. I had a good worker but there are some that aren’t great. Khloe was such a sting character even with what she has dealt with. Even for her age she was very mature. It helped me like her that much more. I won’t go into details but it was a great read with not a whole bunch of drama. 4 stars #2OCCJD
Kid found Khole trying to commit suicide after losing her best friend who went to war. She lost her parents and she’s been in and out of foster care. He takes her back to the club and trys to stay a way fotar. Kid meets a 17 year old trying to commit suicide. She lost someone she loved, lrom her. Too childish for my tastes as far as Khole is. Not much else going on.
Like the first book in this series, Marie James didn’t fail to keep it interesting. The steamy MC men are out of this world. They, as it should be, love and protect what is theirs, including the women they fall in love with. Kid is a young fun loving guy with a twist in his behavior and becomes a dream!
Khloe is a foster kid, she’s got an amazing boyfriend and together they plan to get her out of her situation, in just 6 short months when she’s 18 they’ll get married and all her problems will be solved.
Three months later it all comes crashing down when he’s KIA in Iraq.
His family wants nothing to do with her and throws her out of their apartment leaving her the option of going back to her horrible foster family or living on the streets.
Kid.
Former Marine and current man whore, sees a broken girl at a fundraiser for a fallen soldier. She’s about to jump off a bridge when he stops her.
After finding out who she is and why she’s there he wants to help her but he needs permission to bring a minor into the clubhouse.
Once there Kid can’t get her out of his head. She’s too young, he can’t touch her but that’s all he wants to do.
Part of the deal to bring her to the clubhouse is she’s off limits. No one can touch her until she’s legal, an those thirty days are going to be the death of Kid.
He tries to ignore her pull. Even stops sleeping with other women while waiting for her to turn 18.
And then something happens to Kid that changes everything.
He makes a mistake, a horrible mistake that Khloe can’t forget.
Just when she was ready to give herself to Kid her whole world was turned upside down yet again and she has some hard choices to make.
Hearts are broken.
Trust is destroyed.
I loved this freaking book. Kid was amazing, well most of the time.
I do believe a certain someone needed a full on beat down and to be banned from the club as soon as she put her hands on Kid or at the very least after the damage was done but that’s just me.
Other than the lack of beating people until they can’t walk I loved eveything about book two and am looking forward to what’s next in the Cerbrus MC series.
I have been waiting for Kid’s story since..
Kincaid, Introduces him as carefree, playful and loyal.
And in the Sindicate, gives you enough to tease you..
Kid is drawn to Khloe the first time he sees her…
Saves her, resist her, and cherish her…
Their story is Wow!
But not perfect, some moments did break my heart…
But they come together even stronger..
Love Kid and Khloe…their story is amazing….
