If I could give this 10 stars, I would! Emo and Rella’s story broke my heart! I absolutely loved their story! Gut wrenching and powerful. Also beautiful and hot. I held my breath, or at least it felt like it, through the whole story. I couldn’t stop reading till I reached the end because I just had to know that everything would be ok. Now that I understand Emo, I love him so much more! This was a perfect ending to a mind-blowing series!
My mind is blown …I’m struggling to get my thoughts together. This book will stay with me for a very long time…
This series was amazing! I’ve loved every single book! All good things must come to an end though and what a BLOODY ENDING!
It was a dark, twisted, emotional ride. That left me holding on to my kindle in a death grip. Crying and sometimes not believing what I was reading. It was definitely not for the faint hearted… IT WAS SO GOOD! My favourite book so far this year. If I could give more stars I would. I’m not giving anything away. You must read this and experience for yourself. I do recommend reading series in order though.
What in the holy hell did I just read??? Freaking amazing!! This series has been an emotional and psychological roller coaster. The depravity, horror, loss and sadness is laced with love and healing. Each book reveals more of the truth of Sweet Haven, now known as Malus. The horrors that were survived were great, the loss of innocence immense, but through it all, the few survived and their vengeance, though it may take time, is just. Emo existed everyday without Rella. There was not enough punishment he could dole out to himself for the pain he caused her when they were young. What he thought he knew was bad, but his reality will soon become darker than he could imagine. Emo’s story is dark, depraved and downright horrific. But is he destined to live in darkness, or will his past actually heal his soul. Loved this story!
Wow!! Just wow!! If I could give this book more stars I would.
Since book one Emo has been in my heart. There’s just something about a broken man who doesn’t see how how amazing he really is. Emo holds a lot of misplaced guilt from the past. He feels empty and hard inside and can’t see that he deserves to be happy. His character is written beautifully Alex really gets across the pain and self loathing he lives with everyday. I just wanted to reach in the book give him a giant hug and say “don’t you see it wasn’t your fault and your heart is huge”
Rella is absolutely the perfect heroin! After living a life of hell for so many years she has this amazing strength and light inside. That’s not to say she doesn’t have own demons, she absolutely does. She sees this loving protective person underneath all Emo’s scars and won’t give up no matter how hard he fights.
There are scenes that are hard to read. I cringed while reading more than ones, but they are the characters past. These are the horrendous things they lived through that made then who they are. Alex wrote these scenes in way that made me feel their pain in my heart.
This was an amazing conclusion to the Hell Night Series! Don’t stop at the end of the story. Read the note from the author.
EMO! EMO! EMO! EMO!
Holy Hell, this book was epically dark, twisted, and gut-wrenching, but so so beautiful and healing. ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!!! Emo was the darkest and most tortured of all the brothers, and all the books in this series were amazing, but I knew this one would shred my heart, and that it did.
Alex Grayson is so amazingly talented, I cannot even express my level of admiration for her after reading this series, but especially this book. Emo’s past was so dark and tortured and he placed so much guilt on himself, no one deserved some light and happiness and peace more than him, except for maybe Rella. I love these characters and this family. One of the best series I have ever read that will be sure to stay with me for a very long time. ALL THE STARS!!!
What an epic ending to the series. I tried so hard to drag every page out so I didn’t finish too quickly, but I just couldn’t. I needed all of Alex’s word. I needed to know all the answers. And boy did I get them and more.
I’m terribly sad that Hell Night Series is over, but I’m very excited to see that Grace will be getting a story of her own.
Alex weaves a story that leaves you horrified, heartbroken, crying and yet you see that light shining bright at the end of the tunnel. I was torn apart in each of the four books… And by the end I was starting to be pieced back together but Emo… His story sunk that final pc.
Alex Grayson destroyed me with Emo’s story! My heart broke for this broken man. To read and experience the darkness he carries was beyond raw and emotional. You couldn’t help but want to reach in and help. Add on Rella’s traumatizing upbringing, her darkness, and the love they hold for each other, Key To Hell becomes an unforgettable for 2019!
Alex Grayson has done an amazing job with Hell Night Series but she nailed it with the darkest and most unforgivable world she painted for Emo and Rella.
This book was always going to bring the biggest climax to the series. Emo’s character has been slowly developing over the past three books. He’s beyond dark, depraved and disturbed and with good reason considering his childhood. But with it comes an air of mystery with him. He’s had a big but silent presence throughout because he’s kept pretty much in the background. Until now!
Until her! Emo and Rella’s story was one that pulled at so many heartstrings, the strength these two characters took from each other was endearing. The words were powerful and fitting for such a dark story. By far the darkest of the lot. Rella’s character did a complete 180; she was borderline neurotic / agoraphobic as you would expect. I’m glad her character was given the opportunity to develop at a slower rate as her story was the most traumatic and disturbing of all the female leads. Right from page one you knew that these two would be destined to be together. They were soul mates from date one and their harrowing childhoods never took that away, only strengthened it.
This author has once again created a series that will keep you captive with every page turned. My heart was heavy and the contents of my stomach in my mouth on so many occasions, the visuals created put you in that story, every scene can be pictured clearly. If you thrive on dark, disturbing and depraved stories then this is one for you. If you have triggers… keep walking; the writers warning should not be taken lightly
Omg this book was raw with emotions with twist and turns that left me in shock. I couldn’t get this book out of my head each character in this series truly deserves happiness justice and I loved every moment of reading this book.
This story is raw, dark, gritty, and will shred your heart.
Key to Hell is book 4 in the Hell series and you need to read the previous books in the series first to fully understand the characters, the dynamics and history of their lives. Emo’s story is one that we all have been waiting for. It was an emotional, gut wrenching story, yet it was also a story of healing.
The torment that both Emo and Rella had to endure at such young ages left them both broken, damaged, and stole all of their innocence, but Emo and Rella have always had a connection and now that bond is the thing that can save and heal them both.
I absolutely loved this series, the characters, and the writing. Alex Grayson has a way of drawing you into her books with such memorable characters and storylines that hold you hostage from page one until the last. This series definitely goes onto my list of top favorites!
This is the last book in the series and they should definitely be read in order.
Emo has always blamed himself for Rella committing suicide due to the things he had to do to her which was forced on him by his father. In order to deal with guilt he has become a cutter but lately he has used
a key to torture himself with which leaves scars all over his body. Nothing prepares him for seeing Rella inside the bar one night.
Rella hoped to leave this world on her terms but unfortunately, she was saved the day she tried to end her life and she left one prison for another. With the help of Deanna and Mick she is able to escape and
start her life again. Now Rella is ready to go back to her brother, Trouble.
Emo and Rella have always shared a special bond because of the past but is Emo ready to forgive himself for the events of the past that were out of his control? When Emo fills Rella in on her everything that
has happened and what he does will she be willing to forgive him?
I had such mixed reviews coming with this book as I was eagerly waiting for Emo’s story but then at the same time I knew with his story that the series would be coming to an end and for that I was seriously
really disappointed. Emo was probably the “darkest” of all the brothers because of what he had been forced to do to Rella.
Yet at the same time he was protecting her from his father but Emo just couldn’t see it that way and because of the past he continued to punish himself.
Rella also cut herself to deal with her own pain and together Emo and Rella found a peace just being near the other due to their bond. Emo wanted to protect and shield Rella but slowly he really saw a strong woman who was ready to move ahead with her own life.
This book dealt with a lot of deep issues but I really liked how Emo and Rella really found a way to find peace with each other and slowly find other was of dealing with everything they were up against.
I was definitely surprised when Emo told Rella everything that they did and in a way I wasn’t surprised at all with what happened with Deacon as I think Rella was able to get her true light and power back after
the incident. I was freaking a little with Emo really being reluctant to get involved with Rella but I was glad that she stuck with what she wanted!
The very end was great with Angelina and Joseph and it made me so happy!!
The epilogue made me super happy knowing that another series is coming!!

I’ve been dying to read Emo’s story since first meeting him in Trouble in Hell. He’s the most broken of all the brothers. What he was forced to do to Rella was just horrible for both of them. But Rella never blamed him for it, she knew it was all on Emo’s sick, disgusting dad. Can two very broken people heal each other? I freaking loved how this ended. This whole series is amazing. Highly recommended.
What a fantastic series! The Hell Night series is easily my favorite of Alex Graysons and I didn’t even mind waiting between books! Which is odd for me.
Emo’s story has been my most anticipated of this series. I have been impatiently waiting for his story from about halfway through book one. I appreciated that Ms. Grayson released this series quickly so that waiting wasn’t really a problem for me.
Emotionally heartbreaking, Key to Hell shines a light on a very beat up Emo who deals with his horrific past day by day, hour by hour and minute by minute. While having his friends and very few women to help him work through his past, deal with his present and hopefully survive his future, there would really be only one person who could help. Rella. And I am stopping there. Truly you just need to read this story.
I had absolutely no problem falling into this book and my attention was kept throughout. There were enough twists and turns and definitely enough emotional situations that pulled responses from me that I was glued to this book.
I don’t think I could say enough about this story or series. I stumbled upon Alex Grayson a couple years ago and there isn’t a book that she has written that I haven’t read…I think. She writes emotions so well that I feel every thing, even when I don’t want to. When I need to feel something, I know I can count on her books to make that happen. She has and will be one of my favorite authors for a long time to come…unless she starts writing about aliens. Then all bets are off.
Easily giving Key to Hell 5 stars.
Key to Hell by Alex Grayson was EV-ER-YTHING I could have asked for with the conclusion of the Hell Series!!! Over the course of this series I’ve seen 4 men who were hurt, and broken as children in the most horrific way turn into loving men. To overcome so much my heart bled for them as children, and my heart rooted for them to find the love they deserved. Every story has touched me, but Emo more so then any other. We got glimpses of Emo in the previous books, but to hear his words gutted me!! I don’t think I ever wanted a man to find the forgiveness he looked for as much as I did Emo.
I don’t want to give anything away, just know from page 1 so many secrets, twists and turns that will leave you flipping the pages to find out what’s happening next. I ADORED this series!! The whole series is BRILLIANTLY written, and TOTALLY captivating. If you’re looking for a series that will gut you, but that will leave you satisfied this series is a MUST READ!!!
As always, I’m a little afraid to start the story because I KNOW it will be a difficult read. As always, once I get started I have a difficult time putting it down. As always, Alex Grayson knows how to make us REALLY uncomfortable. As always, Alex also knows how to make us sigh with both pleasure and relief. Of the four Hell Night stories, this one was probably the most difficult to read. As shocking as the first was, finding out what happened in Sweet Haven (Malus) in the past, you’d think that you’d get past the shock and disgust…but…you don’t. Emo’s story is probably the most difficult to read but in the end, the most satisfying as well. Anything else I can add will only spoil the story for other readers. Just know that there is finally resolution for these victims and in the end, perhaps some happy endings.
The ending of this series was even more epic than I ever anticipated! Within the past three books we have gotten little bits and pieces of Emo and his story, but nothing could have prepared me for this book. Emo has continued to punish himself for the events that happened to him and Rella as children, especially with Rella no longer there. But when Rella emerges and the truth of what happened to her life comes out, Emo is uncontrollable. The two continue to gravitate towards each other, even after the horror that Rella has continued to endure, but as they are made for each other they work on helping themselves and each other. As usual in the other books in this series, the brothers continue to search out the remaining people that got away from Sweet Haven, and the twist in this aspect of the storyline made me dying for a subseries or additional books. Overall, while this book (and series) aren’t your typical love story, I really enjoyed them and this book really wrapped up almost everything for these brothers as well as their storyline that really started in the first book and carried throughout all four. Kudos to Alex for the ability to keep the story going while also having each brother with his own storyline; it took the book and the series to the next level. The writing was impeccable and I can’t wait to see what comes next from Malus!
I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Oh holy hell what a book!! What a rollercoaster of epic proportions!! Get the tissues get the wine get the snuggle blanket because you wont put this beauty down.
She definitely saved the best for last. Emo is…. I dont even know how to put into words how amazing Emo is! I was looking forward to this book in the series the most. Emo is someone you want to know every single thing about and his story was everything. Rella is such a strong passionate woman and every horrific thing she went thru she ended up a strong, beautiful half to the whole of these two.
I couldn’t imagine any two people more meant to complete one another than these two.
Imperfection really is beauty
I feel like a cheerleader chanting Emo Emo Emo. I can’t help it I’m so excited to finally get his book. The ending of the previous book not only rocked the residents of Malus but also the reader. I think I always knew that Emo was going to have the hardest journey. Yes they all went through an unimaginable childhood but he has a severe case of survivors guilt. I really don’t want to give the story away because it’s top good. For me this story was an ending, a beginning and a healing. The whole series was emotional and heartbreaking but this one was the culmination of all the stories and a brilliant ending to the series.

Holy freaking Hell, this book is deep and will pull on your heart in such gut wrenching and painful ways and leave you lost for words. This series has been a really rough ride through Hell and I mean that in the best of ways. Key to Hell has got to be my favorite of them all. Emo (Azaih) has already held a special place with me and this is his story. I absolutely won’t give any spoilers, but you still don’t know all the secrets of the used to be town of Hell that was once Sweet Haven.
Through this book you learn more and more about Emo. More is explained of him and you can’t help but feel such sympathy for him. Though he may appear the most fecked up person, he is riddled with so much pain and guilt more then you could ever imagine. He truly deserves to find happiness, but he won’t let go of guilt, so he tortures himself constantly, both mentally and physically. Emo and his brothers have not only stumbled across newly found secrets, but they’ve also kept one secret hidden from everyone.
I have truly enjoyed and consumed this whole series, I’m so sad that it’s over. This book held onto some twists that I just didn’t see coming and made it my absolute favorite. You’ll feel so many things while reading about Emo, from anger and sickness, to sympathy and possibly even shed some tears too. Also those emotions make the end that much better.
WOW!!!!! I’m downright speechless. I knew Elmo’s story would be intense but I never expected this. A perfect 5 star page turner.
I will keep this spoiler free. All I’ll say is that his past is about to collide with the present and will determine his future.
This story was difficult to read at times due to the nature of the subject. It was a well thought out story that was uniquely written. Characters that were well developed and made me feel so much for them. Emo is very complex and he is the one who suffered the most in my opinion. This is a very addicting and captivating story. The author doesn’t lack creativity when it comes to tell a story. Perfectly crafted. It goes back in time a few times to let us in Emo’s past. Bottomline is this is a must read.
The entire Hell series should be read in order. Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I strongly recommend this series.
