The last thing I expected was my ex-boyfriend showing up unannounced, demanding to see our son. The son whose existence he’d previously never bothered to acknowledge, leaving me a single mother at sixteen years old.As if I’m not freaked out enough, I also have to deal with a loud, annoying new neighbour on top of it all.Imagine my surprise when I discover my neighbour is none other than Jeremy, … other than Jeremy, my best friend’s dangerously hot brother, who was recently released from prison.
I’m sure he’s a complication I definitely don’t need. But then he inserts himself effortlessly into my life, becoming my hero, my saviour, and someone my son can look up to, and I realize how much I actually need him.
But my ex isn’t backing off, making me wonder what he’s capable of—and how far Jeremy will go to keep us safe.

So this one follows Kenzie who is Ryder’s sister and I loved her story from the moment we met her in Bailey and the Bad Boy I knew it was going to be a good story! Kenzie was such a good mum and she was so protective of Cole and it was cute and adorable. I also loved how she wanted to try and just be as strong as possible without getting her brother involved and I loved that she just cared for everyone!
Jeremy oh my god I think I fell in love with him faster than any of the other boys from the other novels. The way he played and interacted with Cole made my heart melt it was absolutely perfect! It was some of my favourite parts of the novel. I also loved how protective and helpful he was with Kenzie when it came to Chase being creepy and an ass.
I loved that Kenzie and Jeremy managed to equally share their past together, like with Kenzie and her past with Chase, and then Jeremy being in Prison and then being reunited with his sister Harper. I just loved their relationship as a whole!
I loved seeing all the characters we got to know and love from the other novels! I like it when authors let us see all the other characters and make them a big part! It’s a big major thing for me in novels and I loved it!
Chase wow he turned into a proper psycho by the end of this novel, how he kept stalking Kenzie and spying on her. To me it had nothing to do with that he wanted to see his son, it was like he just wanted Kenzie and was prepared to do anything to get with her. Although I loved this novel, I was disappointed by one thing and that was the fact I felt like the Chase thing was wrapped up fast. We literally get an update in the epilogue and in a way I get it, shows how insignificant he is in Kenzie and Cole’s life but I wasn’t overall satisfied with it.
This one was my favorite in the series. I just loved Jeremy. He was just too sweet. I loved Kenzie too and I’m glad she got her HEA.
I really enjoyed this story. It was really sweet to watch how Jeremy worked his way into Kenzie and Cole lives, and vice-versa. I would have given this a 5* but, I felt the ending, the whole Chace situations, it just worked out to easily. It would have been nicer to see him really get his dose of Karma, especially after finding out not only all the crap he did to Kenzie but finally hearing about why Ryder almost ruined his life to beat Chace bloody. I was really hoping the jerk would have gotten a taste of his own medicine, but alas the parents cruised in with their money, a bit disappointing. Other than that, I loved the book. Well done to the author.
R. Linda has created a fantastic story about Kenzie a single mom trying to start a new life in her small town with her son and Jeremy an ex con who is trying to reconnect with his sister and make a new start. R. Linda has created an emotional and heartwarming story with and alpha male, an independent woman, caring and meddling friends, a stalker ex boyfriend, passion, and love. Kenzie and the Guy Next Door was a witty, flirtatious story with the right mix of romance and suspense. I couldn’t put this book down. Readers will fall in love with Kenzie, Jeremy, and their close knit friends.

A very entertaining well written sweet and sexy story. Kenzie a single mom workong hard at everything including protecting herself and her son from her derranged ex. Jeremy is Kenzie’s best friend Harper’s brother, and her new neighbor. Their relationship starts as a slow burn with some ups and downs. Gets tense at times when he gets protective against her stalker ex. A story full of drama, love and of family always looking out for each other. I loved thei HEA.

FIVE STARS!
OMG! I thought Ryder, Linc, and Nate were the epitome of book-boyfriends, but R. Linda was only preparing my heart for the Adonis that is Jeremy. *swoon*
Kenzie and her storyline have been integral to the entire Scandalous Series, and I love that R. Linda teases pieces of Kenzie’s plot in each story. She’s a twist in each book, leaving readers crying for her, hopeful for her, and anticipating her own story. As always, R. Linda delivered!! Readers are going to fall heavily for the romance in this book!
Each story in the Scandalous Series is intertwined and written in such an addicting way that I feel I’m one of the characters. R. Linda masterfully wove the characters and plots together, leading us to a point where two multiple storylines merge at the hands of Kenzie and Jeremy (#Jenzie). These two are authentic, beautifully scarred, and absolutely meant for one another. The sexual tension, the realities of their pasts, and thoughts of the people in their lives, comes together full force as R. Linda weaves a few more twisty plot strings that will keep Scandalous readers falling hard and fast for Jeremy and Kenzie, desperate for more in this amazing series!
This book and series are absolute MUST READS!!
Sizzling hot and swoon-worthy…
I was waiting to read Kenzie’s story since she showed up in the first book of the series. I love the dramatics around her and I hope she will have her HEA finally. This story really kept me on my toes as I didn’t know what to expect. All the events are not easily predictable. The plot just kept me turning the pages to see what’s next. There is proper amount of angst, drama, action, hotness, romance and love in this story. And Jeremy… O.M.G.! He is the epitome of what book boyfriend should be. I can’t wait to read more about them in the next books.
I did not read the previous books in the series and at times felt like something was missing. However, a lot was filled in during the telling of Kenzie and Jeremy’s story. It did not detract from their adventure. This a story of second chances, redemption and love. Kenzie and Jeremy both wanted to make better lives for themselves and those around them. Kenzie was a teen mom in a small town. She was forced to relocate. She is trying to finish her nursing degree, raise her son and keep them both safe from her crazy ex. Jeremy spent 8 years in prison. He is now trying to make amends with his family for his absence. The group of friends/family in this story are very supportive. They do not hold the past against either of them and try to help as much as possible. Both characters are likable. there is not a lot of back and forth. They just move on with their relationship. Quick read with a good storyline.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.
In this book we meet Kenzie and Jeremy Donovan. Kenzie is a single mother just trying to put her son first. However with the unannounced and unpredictable visits from his father and the noise level from her neighbor Kenzie is about ready to scream. However when she goes next door to tell the person to keep it down she realizes her new neighbor is none other than Jeremy Donovan Harper’s brother. Jeremy has spent the last 8 years in prison and has the look to show it. Jeremy has thought Kenzie was hot for a while now but his sister gave him explicit instructions they were no dating her friends. He wonders though even though he can’t touch according to his sister can he help? Can these two find a HEA or will it all be over before it begins.
This is an amazing story. It does have its ups and downs that I really want to tell you about. I however don’t want to ruin it for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.
Her ex left her with their son and now he has just turned up out of the blue demanding to see our son. If that is not bad enough she has a new neighbour who has been in jail. What is going to happen now? Follow their story

What a mess. Her ex never pays attention to their son and then all of a sudden comes around. What is he up to? Then the neighbor gets annoying. You find out it is you best friend’s brother. Just out of prison. But he becomes more. It is exciting, enjoyable, emotional, surprising and so much more. I was given a review copy by booksprout and voluntarily review it.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I can go back to enjoy the series now. We met Kenzie before and we know that she has a little boy Cole who she had as young girl she was 16 when she got pregnant and the jerk abandons her, but lovingly she has her twin brother Ryder who is always there for her. Now that same jerk is back in town and harrassing her, but her neighbor Jeremy who is Kenzie’s brother and has just gotten out of jail is there to assist her. While helping her they fall in love and this relationship I totally approve.
Kenzie is trying to move on with her life after giving birth to a son at sixteen. Chace at the time of knowing about the pregnancy wanted her to terminate but she refused. Now his parents tried to but her silence which did not end well especially when it got out about what he tried to do. Now he all of a sudden wants to see his son but he’s going about it the wrong way through harassment. Jeremy lives next door and he is taken by Kenzie and wants to protect her. Chace has a few screws loose and it’s only a matter of time before he comes apart. Can Jeremy keep her safe from Chace and get his happily ever after at the same time?

In a town where everyone knows everyone Kenzie and Jeremy has a lot of friends in common. They didn’t realize they were neighbors until she was pounding on his door to tell him to turn his music down.
He’s a hot bad boy with tattoos and she should stay away. She’s a single mother and he just got out of prison, he should leave her alone but circumstances dictate that he needs to get her out of a sticky situation. When that’s taken care of that day, they start talking. They feel the attraction and try to ignore it but it’s too strong.
When her crazy ex just won’t stop badgering her, Jeremy steps in and threatens him. BUT this dude is C-R-A-Z-Y!!! When it escalates Jeremy is right there with her throughout it. It’s not just about Kenzie but her son, Cole, too.
Jeremy is doing everything he can to get Cole to like him and I find the conversations funny that he has with Kenzie about first impressions and getting Cole to like him.
I enjoyed this book but would have LOVED to have a longer epilogue.
Kenzie is gently rescued from her stalking ex. This sweet romance glosses I’ve the fact that Kenzie is a single mom resulting from a teen pregnancy when she was fifteen years old. Her sweet son Cole, is now an adorable four and her ex is back wanting to be in his son’s life.
No real mention on how hard it must have been for her, but she seems to have it all together by the time she re-meets Jeremy as her next door neighbor. Jeremy is her best friend’s older brother who’s been out of prison for a year and moving on to b a better brother to his sister.
All in all a sweet romance with Jeremy falling for Kenzie and Cole, and protecting them from Chace.

I was not aware when signing up that this is part four of a series. This is a prime example of when series should be read in order, with the list of characters who had their own story, and of course it’s assumed that you read their book, so they just carry on as if you knew what they were talking about. The situation with Kenzie and her ex was not something new, and it seemed like it had been a running thing throughout the other books as well. The blurb made it seem like the ex pops back up out of nowhere and that wasn’t the case. Its more the ex has been a bit of a bother to Kenzie, and some of the others from her group, but for Kenzie she shares a child with him, a child he wanted nothing to do with. When he decides for some reason he wants something to do with him, he starts showing up… they never really have a conversation, so we don’t really know the exact reason but that’s what we are lead to believe. Jeremy has just moved in next door, and in fact already knows Kenzie as she is his sisters bestie, he just didn’t realize they lived in the same building. For Jeremy, Kenzie is everything that he wants, but he promised his sister that he wouldn’t mess with her friends. But after witnessing Chase bothering Kenzie, Jeremy decides to step in and help out. Trying to make sure that he keeps his promise to his sister is hard, but denying this thing with Kenzie is even harder.
So, as a story this was just ok, the foreplay was more steamy than the actual sexy times. The situation with Kenzie’s ex was very anti-climatic. The story as a whole was very anti-climatic for me, but it could be that I just wasn’t connected to any of the characters. This was just not up my alley I guess. I give this 3.5 stars.
This book i had been looking forward too. When you get an awesome series and you learn about all the different characters the anticipation for each couple is too much sometimes and i am so glad we got Kenzie and the Guy Next Door next.
We didn’t know too much about Jeremy just that he was in prison and the reasons behind it were so sad for both himself and his sister Harper. What i didn’t expect was to meet such a nice, caring and very protective man i really did love Jeremy without even being asked or knowing the full story he was always there to protect Kenzie.
Kenzie has been a character in the book from the start of this series, especially with the story regarding her ex. Kenzie was a single mum who had been put through the ringer with being such a young single mum to trying to keep away from her ex who was seriously deranged. We’re learnt in the first book that there was something wrong with him when he was dating Bailey and this caused Ryder kenzie a brother and Baileys boyfriend to be way over protective so it was good to see Jeremy help him out and stay out of trouble.
This book was everything i could have wanted with such a great story line of two opposites and one really adorable kid in the mix. We had drama, love and just amazing story line of family always looking out for each other. I also love how you can practically feel the next book that’s going to happen and was i excited to see who’s book is next and that anticipation is still there for the next R.linda book and i can’t wait.
What an awesome book and such an amazing series if you haven’t started this yet, do it you won’t regret it.
Massive 5 stars for this story now i want to go live somewhere with a Jeremy next door ha ha.
