He liked fast and loose—she was sweet and innocent.Firefighter Brice Lancaster lived his life by a set of rules: No commitments, no attachments, no promises. Three rules that were easy to follow—rules that kept his heart safe, rules that should’ve kept his best friend’s cousin out of his bed.So what was it about Quinn that made him lose his mind? Maybe it was her shiny midnight hair that made him … midnight hair that made him forget he hated attachments. Or her emerald eyes that made him want to promise her the world. Or her sexy smile that made him insane with lust and the need to claim her innocence and keep her.
Quinn Walker didn’t believe in boundaries—never had. She’d spent her life bouncing from one thing to the next—the wild child of the group. So when Quinn moves in next door to the man she’s crushed on for years, she knew she was in trouble. Big, strong, tatted, sexy firefighter trouble. Or maybe it was Brice that was in trouble because Quinn wasn’t going to let this golden opportunity slip through her fingers. No wasn’t an option.
It was supposed to be just fun.
They’d agreed on no strings.
Blinded by lust, they both gave in.
Brice broke his rules. Quinn let herself fall in love.
Then, in a cruel twist of fate, everything went up in smoke. Will one of them be strong enough to be honest—or was it all just a game?

Another amazing book by Riley Edwards. She has the knack of taking you on a varied emotional ride from carefree to tears and sobbing. I loved Brice and Quinn. Right from the start you could feel the attraction from the two main characters but because of Brice’s perception of his brother relationship and his uncle, his view of relationships was marred and way off, so he shut himself off and made being with a woman lacking emotion. As you read through you get the friendship between Brice and Jackson and Quinn and Jackson. She witnesses a crime and there brings a whole new set of problems. As someone life is on the line, can’t they bother sort out their feelings for each other. This was a great read and I am sure I will read it again. As always I loved the characters. Quinn was so forthright and upfront with what was on her mind and although she could be sassy, she was also strong and independant. Can’t wait for the next book.
Holy flipping…this was a read that I didn’t want to end and wanting more more more more of Brice and Quinn. There should be a warning to this book…WARNING tissues needed….WARNING….a glass of ice or a hose to cool down from the steam…WARNING you’ll be disappointed when it ends.
Brice, the man wh***, no strings attached, doesn’t do commitment and has an attraction to Quinn, who he avoids like the plague because of what he wants to do with her and who is best friends with his best friend. Quinn, the woman who doesn’t hold her tongue, tells it like it is and lives by her own set of rules, who is also attracted to Brice, comes up with an arrangement with Brice….an arrangement he can’t refuse.
I couldn’t get enough of these two and the rest of the family, as the two navigate tricky waters with Brice’s commitment phobia and Quinn dealing with her family especially her dad and their candid talks…LOVED IT. The steamy..ahem…steamy scenes between them and the suspense along with the heartbreaking scenes that leaves Brice reeling in the aftermath…holy smokes.
This author once again blows me away with the characters, how the story flows beautifully with the descriptions and dialogue that is spot on that makes me feel like I am right there in the middle of it all….holy flipping amazing read.
*I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Brice was a “no strings attached” kind of guy. Quinn was the “Butterfly” of Jasper’s daughters… trying to find her place in the world. I love the way she played him, without intending to and I love how he fell for it.
Quinn moves in next door to Brice and even though they try to stay clear of each other, sparks start to fly. Quinn being Brice’s best friend’s cousin, is supposed to be off limits. A crime is committed which puts the beautiful, innocent Quinn in danger. Brice and quite a few of our old friends from previous books goes all alpha male to protect her.
A great read. I give it 5-stars!! Read it in one go.

A well written action packed, sexy read by Riley Edwards. This book gives us the best of everything, hot firefighter, the best friend’s cousin, no strings relationship. I loved the characters and their interaction with each other was on point. Emotional and humorous this book is more than expected. A total package of a read.
WOW!!!
So many emotions. Everytime I think I have read the best that Riley Edwards has written, she proves me wrong.
Quinn has always been a wild child. Not ready to settle on what she wanted except for wanting Brice.
Brice never wants to settle down. He goes from one woman to the next because he can’t have the one he wants, Quinn.
Brice and Quinn have decided to have a good time. No feelings involved. The only problem is, they both develop feelings.
Quinn is in trouble. Brice is losing it. The family rallies. Will they get their happy ever after??
Quinn’s lack of filter…awesome. I’m a huge fan of Riley Edwards and this next book in the Next Generation series did not disappoint. I just recently re-read the 707 series so I was up to date on all the players and it was great “catching up”. Such a great book!! The level of love that you feel reading this book is staggering. This book deserves way more than a 5-star review.
Reading Riley Edwards’s books is like coming back to family. This is another in the Next Generation series, and not only do we meet up with old friends, but we get Quinn’s story with Brice. Jackson’s interference with them is a delight to read (all else aside!), but their story is also an absolute pleasure to read. The suspense is well written, and, as always, there are unexpected twists and surprises. A great strength in this book is the dual POV; it makes the reader feel part of the action and part of group of friends and family as well. I was ready to cry over the end of the book too; fans of the Next Generation characters will be hard put to it not to do so! I don’t often find books that I wish would never end – this was one of those.

I have read all of Riley Edwards’ books, and Keeping Quinn is another 5 star addition to her collection. Honestly, I didn’t love Brice at first, but that didn’t last long. He and Quinn fit so well together, and their chemistry is undeniable. These books are like catching up with family. It hurt seeing Jackson’s reaction to Brice and Quinn as a couple, and I felt Quinn’s dread when she witnessed something she shouldn’t have. The love all these characters share is so clearly portrayed, especially when Quinn is in trouble. I would absolutely recommend this book. I guess it can be read ad a standalone, but starting at the beginning allows readers to get to know the characters. Well done!
This is book 6 in The Next Generation series and while it can be read as a stand alone, I would absolutely read the previous books before this one! That being said, in this one we get Quinn Walker and Brice Lancaster’s story. Quinn has spent her whole life being the wild child and trying to live her life to the fullest. But she knows it’s time for her to figure things out and to be on her own. But when she moves out on her own, she never expects to be living next to the man she has had a crush on for years. But she wasn’t going to let this opportunity pass her by, even if she may get hurt in the end. Brice has lived his life by his own set of hard core rules, and one of those rules is not to touch his best friend’s cousin. The rules have kept his heart safe for years and he has no intention of changing them. But Quinn has something about her that just makes him lose his mind and do things that he swore he wouldn’t do. So they agree to no strings, not realizing that they both need and want those strings between each other. But when something horrific happens, can they both come together and figure out that not only do they love each other but they need for the other person to be safe?
I absolutely loved this one! Now I loved Jasper when he had his book in the other series and now seeing him as a father and his relationship with his girls? I love it! Quinn is this strong, beautiful woman who is there for the people she cares about and isn’t afraid to show them she cares. Brice was hit with some things that forced him to make adult rules for himself to keep himself safe. But once he figures out his own issues, he isn’t afraid to step up and admit his mistakes. To know what he wants in his life and actively work towards achieving it. These two together are not only hot as all get out but they are sweet and loving. And I loved every minute of it! Bring some tissues though because you will cry!
Ugh!! This book was a roller coaster ride of emotions!!! I would say I’m on overload but I could not put it down!!! Quinn and Brice’s story is freaking amazing! The heart wants what it can’t have sometimes, right? The disappointment and pain can be too much! But once Brice’s heart falls, it falls hard and no amount of misunderstandings, stubbornness or family will stop him from having his hearts desire…..Quinn. Quinn is fierce and independent. She has loved Brice from afar for years. But when she is in true need of a savior, can Brice be the person she needs? This story is full of so many ups and downs yet it is so full of love. Amazing!!!
Holy smokes, I thought I was gonna have to call the fire dept to put out the fire my Kindle was sure to start! The fiery hot chemistry that Brice and Quinn have is off the charts. Both hard headed, they mix like vinegar and oil. When Quinn is witness to a horrible crime, Brice may finally realize what he wants…and needs from the gorgeous woman that he has been trying to keep out of his heart. Can he save her in the midst of tragedy or will he choke? You don’t want to miss this exciting book in the Next Generation series. Congrats Riley, you did it again!!

I love this series! I’ve been following this family since the 707 series. I’ve watched all the kids grow up, get married. Now it’s Quinn’s and Brice’s turn. Riley just pulls you into the book. This book has everything you need. I laughter at some of the conversations. and I cried. Really cried. Grab a box of tissues your going to need them. We see in this book how the family pulls together to get thru this. Brice and Quinn fight for their HEA and they deserve it. Can’t wait to read the next book about this family. Great addition to the series.
I simply love The Next Generation collection….it seams they´re already part of the family.
That being said, for me Keeping Quinn felt a little different from the previous stories: more romance, less suspense/adventure BUT at the same time, t Quinn and Brice are so real, so human, so emotionally deep, that there is suspense, and there are surprises.
I laugh, I cried, and I got a sad when the book was over…..
Riley keeps getting better and better…definitely a must read!
The 6th book into this second generation series and Riley Edwards just keeps getting better. It took me 4 days to finish reading this book, not because it was badly written infact it was just the opposite. 25% in, I knew this book would eviscerate me and I got scared. So I put the book down and read other books (I picked up N0S4R2 by Joe Hill, yes, it’s a horror but I’m weird that way LOL) and early this morning, I picked up Keeping Quinn determined to finished it.
Hours later after missing breakfast and a load wad of tissues to wipe my tears, I’m finally done reading. Oh mighty Thoth, I need a breather and another wad of tissues because Riley Edwards raised the bar yet again with Keeping Quinn. I followed this series since the 707 days and I get to see how much my favourite OG characters has developed. It reminded me how much entrenched I am in this world that Riley Edwards created.
Each scene was so vividly written that it played like movie reels in my head as I was reading them. I didn’t find any throwaway sentence or passage written just for word-count-sake. Quinn is firmly in my top heroines for this new generation, this daughter of Jasper (one of my fav 707 heroes) is sassy and have no qualms to go after what she wants. She loved hugely and at times can be reckless but that’s why I really love her. She is 110% perfect for Brice, our hero who passed off as a lothario but with so much torture in his soul that he felt he’s not good enough for the perfect dark haired beauty. When Brice finally gotten his act together and is all in, he is ALL IN and I love how he takes care of Quinn and fought to keep her by his side.
I cried pretty much 50% of this book but I cried snot-ugly tears during one scene as I felt the pain of the two characters, it was so painful and I had to stop (again) to collect my breathe. I also laughed quite a bit especially at the antics of Quinn’s two girlfriends. I’m also very much interested to know more about Brice’s 2 brothers and I dearly hope his older brother will get his own story and HEA.
This book ends with quite a cliffhanger and I cannot wait till April for “Taking Liberty”. While waiting, I’ll be re-reading the 707 series.
I am voluntarily reviewing this as an ARC. Hands down this was one of the best stories thus far in this series and what an amazing story. Brice Lancaster the hot firefighter and Quinn Walker the one to avoid, and daddys little girl/wild child were so unbelievable with their chemistry and love scenes. Nothing like making a deal and falling on love your crush along the way. I laughed, wanted to fight and cried with these two and their families. I highly recommend this just make sure you have lots of tissues.
Brice and Quinn heat up this book with love and affection and family drama including a witness to a murder.
Every time I pick up one of Riley Edwards’ books it feels like coming home to reconnect with old friends. Her writing style pulls you in, has you invested in the characters and in their happiness, and keeps you engaged in the story from beginning to end. Her fun, sassy, strong ladies and her gruff, overbearing, alpha men will hold you in suspense until they get what they want the way they want it.
I am not sure what I can say about this book that has not already been mentioned in other reviews. So, I will just say that I loved this book! I smiled, I laughed, and yes, I ugly cried. Under a dim light, curled up in my comfy chair with a cup of tea and my kindle after the house had gone to sleep, I grabbed a box of tissue and dove into Brice and Quinn’s beautifully written journey filled with fun, laughter, light-hearted conversations, hilarious outings with friends, gripping drama and emotional turmoil, trepidation and bravery, weakness and strength, unwavering bonds of brotherhood and family, determination, and most importantly a love that knows no bounds, that runs deep and strong and that will last forever.
This book has everything you could hope for and more contained within its’ pages to make a fantastic, heart-wrenching story with charming, engaging characters and a gripping storyline that will knock your socks off. Prepare to settle in and grab a box of tissues and get ready for an amazing story. Brice and Quinn fight hard for their happy ending and with what all they go through, they definitely deserve it. And from the snippet shared at the end of their story, I cannot wait to get my hands on Taking Liberty.
Another absolutely fabulous story by Ms. Edwards. Her creations are absolutely awe inspiring, you, as the reader, are right there IN the story that she writes. You are part of the family. Brice has been living the high life as a firefighter, women come to him, he doesn’t even have to work at it, it’s the flavour of the week. He’s got a new neighbour, Quinn Walker, his best friend’s best friend. He’s been warned off by Jackson, and he’s doing his best, but Quinn has other ideas, she literally snags him as he’s walking by her apartment door, and then the sparks fly. They are under everyone’s radar for a while, but then one dinner with her parents, and it all starts to unravel. It’s explosive and jaw dropping. The way Brice supports Quinn and stands up for Quinn, to everyone including her father, it’s sweet, emotional and inspirational. If every guy could be like Brice, the world would be a better place. The end of the book is so very emotional and its a definite page turner. I highly recommend this book, this series and this author. I am so grateful that I am part of this ARC team as it makes me try to be a better person due to Ms. Riley’s vision for all her characters.

Oh the emotions…… Quinn and Brice are just HOT….. this book has it all and I mean ALL. Make sure you have tissues handy because you will need them. Quinn is bound and determined she is going to get exactly what she wants and she will do anything to get it. Brice finally gives and realizes just how stupid he has been especially when it is all almost ripped away from him in the blink of an eye. Riley you rock with your stories and I just cant wait to get my hands on them
Quinn is a sassy, beautiful woman. She was attracted to Brice from the first time she saw him. The attraction was mutual but Brice knew she was relationship material and he didn’t do relationships. They come to an arrangement of sorts and from there their relationship grows .
I liked the bar scene with Brice was out with Quinn and her girlfriends. He was richly enlightened to what women talk about.
Once again you felt the love from the whole family when tragedy strikes. It can make a person envious for wishing they had the same in their lives.
You know a book is good when it engages several different emotions.Which it did for me.
