He liked fast and loose—she was sweet and innocent.Firefighter Brice Lancaster lived his life by a set of rules: No commitments, no attachments, no promises. Three rules that were easy to follow—rules that kept his heart safe, rules that should’ve kept his best friend’s cousin out of his bed.So what was it about Quinn that made him lose his mind? Maybe it was her shiny midnight hair that made him … midnight hair that made him forget he hated attachments. Or her emerald eyes that made him want to promise her the world. Or her sexy smile that made him insane with lust and the need to claim her innocence and keep her.
Quinn Walker didn’t believe in boundaries—never had. She’d spent her life bouncing from one thing to the next—the wild child of the group. So when Quinn moves in next door to the man she’s crushed on for years, she knew she was in trouble. Big, strong, tatted, sexy firefighter trouble. Or maybe it was Brice that was in trouble because Quinn wasn’t going to let this golden opportunity slip through her fingers. No wasn’t an option.
It was supposed to be just fun.
They’d agreed on no strings.
Blinded by lust, they both gave in.
Brice broke his rules. Quinn let herself fall in love.
Then, in a cruel twist of fate, everything went up in smoke. Will one of them be strong enough to be honest—or was it all just a game?

Anything I say to describe this seems inadequate. This has all the emotions, all the terrifying and heart wrenching events, to the nth degree.
Then, there’s Quinn and Brice’s journey to the deepest, soulful love that takes your breath away.
All the good bits, family, friends just make it even more spectacular.
Ms Edwards packs a sh***on of heart into her romances and I love every bit of it.
This is a stand alone in a series, but guaranteed, you will want to read them all!
Brice and Quinn’s story was enjoyable and down right sweet. This wasn’t an over the top romance read, which was one of the things I loved the most from this book. Author Riley Edwards was able to captured the essence of what it’s really like to find a way to face your fears in order to pursue what you really want in life. There’s some drama but nothing too crazy, there’s lots of funny moments, great sex lol and as always great writing.
Brice is mans man. He’s got all that alpha blood running through his veins. He’s strong, funny and his sex appeal was just dripping off the pages.Every time Brice went all alpha male, I was swooning , like yesssssss Brice! Quinn’s a sass mouth, say whatever comes to mind kind of woman. She’s fierce, funny and very loving. I enjoyed the friendship she had with her girlfriends and how she was with her family. She’s not a push over, she held her ground and I liked her character a lot
The amount of passion between Brice and Quinn was sweeeeetttttt!!!! I couldn’t get enough of these too, didn’t matter if they were joking around or heating up with pages with their sex. I love how easy flowing their banter was, it felt realistic and kept me reading.
If you’ve never read a previous book by Riley Edwards, then this is good place to start. You’ll be entertain from beginning to end. These characters are inviting that you get caught up in their world and by the end, you’ll be shocked it’s ended and want some more.
Oooooo Emmmm Geeeee, what can I say other than books by Riley Edwards just keep on blowing my mind. I laughed, I cried (BIG SOBS), my heart hurt and then it smiled, and, yes, it smiled, felt overflowing with love for these 2 and this series…in case you can’t tell…I LOVED IT
Brice was a “no strings attached” kind of guy. Quinn was the “Butterfly” of Jasper’s daughters… trying to find her place in the world. I love the way she played him, without intending to and I love how he fell for it.
Quinn moves in next door to Brice and even though they try to stay clear of each other, sparks start to fly. Quinn being Brice’s best friend’s cousin, is supposed to be off limits. A crime is committed which puts the beautiful, innocent Quinn in danger. Brice and quite a few of our old friends from previous books goes all alpha male to protect her.
A great read. I give it 5-stars!! Read it in one go.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Wow. Quinn and Brice avoided each other for years, but both of them habe a thing for the other and neither of them seems to admit it. When they indeed get to know each other – everything is Roses and sunshine until Quinn’s at the wrong place at the wrong time – when everything just might fall apart.
I didn’t expect this story to turn out as it did – that with being all the things that happend to Quinn. It’s the best book in the series, but it’s right after Adoring Delaney
Holy Freakazoids Brilliant
You know, Keeping Quinn was the one book in this series I wasn’t sure about reading….not because I don’t love this series, because I absolutely freaking love it….but more because I was afraid of exactly what kind of story Riley was going to write with regards these two characters and how the dynamics of Brice being a Firefighter as opposed to the others who were all law enforcement…..I think you get my drift
I needn’t have worried because this story was spectacular and unique from the others due to its differences and I’m so happy I didn’t decide to not read it, as that would’ve been a shame This story was a lot more emotional for some reason for me and is probably why I enjoyed it so much too Loved Brice and Quinn and I’m eager to jump into Liberty’s story next as that ending left me with chills
Riley Edwards soars to new heights in this passionate, emotional romance! Every time I pick up one of Riley Edwards’ novels, it feels like coming home to old friends. You are pulled in by Riley’s well developed characters and fully invested in their happiness. You’ll root for her sassy, strong leading ladies and the alphalicious men they love. Be prepared to dive into this book & not come up for air until it’s done! The dishes can wait! Grab a few Kleenexes, your favorite bottle of wine and some chocolate!
Quinn Walker is the most beautiful woman he’s ever known both inside & out. She’s perfect and completely off limits.
Brice Lancaster is her brother’s best friend and the sexy fireman known for putting out fires all over town. 😉 Except Quinn’s. He leaves her blazing like no other by conversation & witty banter alone.
When the two become next door neighbors, all bets are off as they give in to their smoldering attraction as simple friends with benefits. The heat between these two quickly blazes into an all-hands-on-deck, 5 alarm fire with no signs of stopping anytime soon. What started as a simple, carefree friends with benefits relationship soon becomes a complicated mess of feelings that leaves both Brice & Quinn hurt and confused as to where their relationship stands. As the old saying goes, if you play with fire, you’re gonna get burned.
Can their relationship rise from the ashes like a phoenix – stronger than ever or will their light be snuffed out just as quickly as it blazed white hot?
Special thanks to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.
This book goes on my read again shelf!
Each book in the Next Generation series by Riley Edwards combines the characters we love and a fresh new story. Book 6 is about Brice Lancaster and Quinn Walker as they find their years old friendship changing, despite opinions of those close to them.
When things get a little rocky, life also throws in some intense obstacles that few couples might survive. Keeping Quinn is an absolute page turner and will pull at all emotions.
More than reading words, this book brings you right in to the action.

Keeping Quinn is a testament to true love. This book had me laughing, crying and enjoying the love story. The Walker family is a fierce one. Can’t wait for Liberty’s story next.
Another wonderful book by Riley Edwards. It was well written and edited. Excellent plot line. Perfect balance of suspense and spice. I love the characters and the bond between them. A must read.
Keeping Quinn is an emotional roller coaster that left me in pieces on the floor. Gutted me, ripped out my insides, threw them on the ground, and stomped on them until there was nothing left except for the pieces on the floor. All in the best way possible. There are books that grab you from the beginning and pull on your heartstrings and won’t let go till there is nothing left, and this is one of those books. I ugly cried through this whole book and loved every minute of it. Brice and Quinn are two strong people with a lot of chemistry and together there is nothing that they cannot handle or overcome.
I loved this book. As with all her books, there was a great storyline, great chemistry between the main characters, great sex, humor and some angst.
Quinn and Bruce decide to have a fun time, just sex- no commitments or feelings involved. Then Quinn witnessed something and everything changes. The surprise “twist” towards the end was something I didn’t see coming. Stayed up almost all night to finish it.
I received an ARC from the author, but the review is my own opionion..
Every once in a while you come across a book that is so exceptionally written that you imagine yourself being right there with the characters….celebrating their triumphs, feeling their pain, and crying right along with them. Keeping Quinn was THAT book for me. Quinn and Brice have been fighting their attraction to one another for a long time, but when they finally get together…nuclear explosionYou get all the feels in this book with some serious twists and turns that have you sitting on the edge of your seat and unable to turn the pages fast enough. The secondary characters were written beautifully and you see the true meaning of family through to the end. And what an ending! I cannot wait to read the next one. You made me cry ugly tears, Riley Edwards…but this book was worth every single one
A dynamic story, full of twists and turns. Emotions are on a roller-coaster throughout the book. Quinn Walker and Brice Lancaster have been attracted to each other for a long time, but never acted on it because of their mutual friend, Jackson. Knowing Brice dates a lot of women, Quinn proposes a no-commitment hook-up. Their attraction grows and explodes. Besides having problems with Jackson accepting their relationship, Quinn witnesses a crime. Quinn and Brice show their strength and are perfect for each other. I loved this book. I love Brice and Quinn. Riley Edwards at her best.
Prepare to have your heart wrenched. Some many feels with this one. He doesn’t think he is worth any thing. She has always acted on impulse. The two of them together, tissues needed. And can I just say I love the alpha dads! There are twists and turns, laughter and tears, and love. Riley just keeps getting better and better.
Wow! Another great read from Riley Edwards The Next Generation series! I devoured this book! Could not put it down! A must read! You will not be disappointed! Love this series!
Another win in this series! Quinn and Brice are explosive! Friends with benefits may be the plan but instead it becomes an emotional roller coaster neither can deny. Throw in some major suspense and turmoil and it’s time for them to truly own up to their feelings. I love that those around them are a family and support one another, it’s like coming home having these characters there. Each book in this series just keeps getting better!
What a great read as always. Quinn and Brice have danced around each other for years. This dance has gone well for Brice until she moves in next door to him. Avoidance is his new modus operandus when it comes to her now. She’s his best friend Jackson best friend and off limits. But she is beautiful and her amazing eyes get him every time. These two have amazing chemistry that has sizzled just below the surface for years. Quinn comes up with a plan to get him in her bed with his no strings attached like he wants..but it backfires on both. They have also not told Jackson yet they are seeing each other. This story has all the great benefits of seeing how the others are doing as we get to see how each family has grown and meet Emma Carter and Delaney’s new sweet baby. This book has all the action and drama I have come to expect from a Riley Edwards novel. Grab a glass of wine, a box of tissues and a quiet corner to immerse yourself in Riley’s world.
Either it’s Suspense Romance or Contemporary Romance, Riley Edwards always nails it!!
With every book I read by Riley, I say that it’s my new favorite. This book had all the feels.
I’ve laughed, swooned and yes, I’ve cried.
I hope Riley never stop writing and that this series never ever ends.
Love Quinn!! Liked her as Jackson best friend in Claiming Tuesday and fell in love with her in this book.
She’s strong, sassy, sweet and loves her family very much.
Quinn is attracted to Brice Lancaster for a long time. He’s best friend of her best friend.
Brice..swooonnn..love him so much!!
Brice was alpha, protective, sexy and a wonderful man.
He always was attracted to Quinn.
But doesn’t think he us worthy of her and he doesn’t believe in relationships.
What I most love about this series is the love of the family. You feel like they are your family too. So protective of each other.
Different from all of Riley’s other books, this was more contemporary with a little suspense.
It was perfect.
I’ll be counting the days for the next book.
My Rating: STARS!!
Riley Edwards has outdone herself again! I know I’ve probably said that before but this time I mean it! Well…I’m not saying I didn’t mean it before just that this time…you get what I’m saying!
For those who are following along, this is book 6 in the Next Generation book series and it’s Quinn’s story. First, let’s recap: The Next Generation books are the kiddos from the 707 guys (haven’t read that series? SHAME ON YOU!). Quinn is Jasper’s daughter. His second-born (daughter). His wild-child. I’m not saying his favorite buutttt…..
Brice doesn’t do love. Pretty much one and done is hos motto. He has his reasons but this doesn’t help his reputation. He is also best friends with Jackson (Nolan & Regan’s son) who is ALSO best friends with Quinnie. I know, confusing but just stay with me. Jackson and Quinn are also cousins. So it stands to reason that Jack doesn’t want his BFF/cousin anywhere near playboy Brice.
So, those are the two main characters in Keeping Quinn. Now the story…it’s a tad off from Riley’s usual books but not in a bad way. From the very beginning of the book, the tone is different. Think of when you walk in your house and smell your favorite meal cooking but there’s something “different” about the smell you can’t put your finger on. You still get your romance. You still get your steamy scenes (and BOY HOWDY Riley does these WELL). But what you don’t get is suspense. Riley makes up for it with lots of angst and tears (dang you Riley) and the sweetest storyline. We get to catch up with the guys from 707 and their families. Meaning this story has ALL the feels. So by the end of the book, you feel like you just had the best well-rounded meal EVER. The flavors were a little different but the food was JUST as good!
So that’s my review. I loved Keeping Quinn. I loved the characters, the storyline, the whole shebang. Am I gushing? Forgive me (NOT). Riley Edwards continues to deliver outstanding books to her readers time after time. Each book is new and fresh with fabulous characters and well-developed stories. How she is able to turn these out such greatness and keep the quality and depth to each book is a wonder to me. BRAVO Riley Edwards. BRAVO.
