Talk about your possessive heroes! If there were an award for such things as possessiveness, Lucifer would definitely win it hands down. Once he decides to make Lily his own, there is nothing to stop him. Not even her! The lengths he goes to is mind boggling and in a dark a twisted way, swoony. Lol! This story starts lightning fast and never slows down. It is dark and violent and a bit of dubious consent included. With the exception of a rather weird ending, I loved everything about it.
This story has everything I could possibly want in story. I could not stop reading! The desperation and the intensity was thick throughout this entire book. It was thrilling, and so, so dark. I was on the edge of my seat, biting my nails, and my chest was constantly tightened up. It was a fantastic experience reading this book! This book makes my top shelf reads list. I would recommend this book to anyone, regardless of their genre of choice. It’s just that good! Oh my God, this book will have you spinning!! <3
Such and amazing and wonderful book. Keeping Lily is the first book in the Disciples series. I picked this book up because someone at a book signing recommended it. So I took a chance and let me tell you, I fell in love with this story. It is such a unique story that is dirty and raunchy yet also has just enough sweet to balance it out. If you love hot alpha males and a sassy and sexy female, then this book is for you. I would recommend this book to others and already have done so.

Love love love this series! If you love a dark steamy read be sure to try this one. So in love with this book. The characters are original not just another typical romance novel!
I liked this book. Yes, it had a pretty dark tone to it. And it did kinda creep me out that the man’s name was Lucifer. But from the very beginning he was looking out for Lily and her children. Even claimed the her kids as his own.
The only down side was when he caught up to Marshall at the end. I get that he wanted to “send a message” not to mess with his family, but it was a little too much detail for me. Then the ending seemed pretty abrupt. I appreciated the epilogue, but the story just seemed to slam to a halt for the ending.
Other than that I thought it was a great book.
“I’ll never let you go. Never. They’ll have to pry you from my cold, dead hands.”
Keeping Lily was a great start to the Disciples series. I loved Lilith and Lucifer’s twisted story.
Lucifer is protective, possessive, and obsessed with Lilith the moment he sees her. He forces Lily and her two children into his life. Despite resisting at every turn, Lily realizes that it’s possible Lucifer is exactly what she wants and needs. Even her children fit right in to his world.
“He’s offering me everything I could ever want. Protection, security. Passion. Everything but a choice.”
I really loved how Lucifer adopted this family. He may have been after Lily to begin with, but he understood her kids were a part of the deal and he became the father they never had. Lucifer may be a criminal and live a violent life, but he showered Lily and the kids with adoration. I loved how he could be savage one minute and gentle the next.
Keeping Lily was sexy and intense and I didn’t want it to end. The way things finished definitely have me excited to continue this series. I want more Lily and Lucifer. I’m interested in seeing the other Disciples’ stories. Hell, I’m even interested in the kids!
Keeping Lizzy by Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty is a dark romance. It’s the first book from the series Disciples and it’s about the leader,
Lucifer and his new wife.
Lilith Merriweather aka Lily had grown up poor and married Marshall Dawson for a better future. This marriage wasn’t the one she had
imagined, the only good thing out if it were her two precious children. She had decided to get a divorce and start a new life but the
plans changed because Marshall owed to a powerful and feared mobster, Lucifer. He came to collect his money but he got her and the kids.
Lily felt a sudden attraction towards him that was messing with her head and her body. Lucifer was dangerous and she had to find a way to
escape but that was proven impossible, he had eyes everywhere. The minute she eventually succumbed to him was when she found happiness.
The plot is interesting and easy to follow. It’s a mild mafia romance, there are dark scenes with killing and torturing. There is no
abuse or forced sexual acts. There are a lot of happy family moments and some intense erotic scenes. The characters had good chemistry
and they had a tiny change throughout the story. There weren’t many truly romantic moments, it was all based on his sexual obsession towards
her and her submission in the end. What surprised me the most was the kids’ reaction to everything, especially the boy.
All in all, Keeping Lizzy is a sinful dark mafia book, it contains everything you would expect. I enjoyed it and I will rate it with 4 stars.
For some reason this is actually the last disciples book I read even though it’s the first. Admittedly it took a minute for Lucifer to grow on me. But they are all so fiercely protective over what is theirs. I love that.
I stumbled on this book one night while looking for something to read and I ended up reading the entire series I loved it so much. Lucifer and Lily were amazing what a crazy ride, loved every minute of this book.
I loved Keeping Lily. I wasn’t quite sure what to expect this is the first time reading this autho duo. BUT.. let me tell you that you will not be disappointed if you love it dark, steamy, keep you flipping page after page! Lucifer and Lily is a story you won’t soon forget. I’m so glad this is a series and jumping into book 2 next!
Crime lord Lucifer is looking over the file of Marshall Dawson, who refuses to pay back the $5 million he owes him, when he sees a photo of Marshall’s wife Lilith Merriweather. Everything about the beautiful Lily calls out to Lucifer, so when Marshall offers Lily and his children as payment, Lucifer accepts. The feisty and defiant Lily quickly becomes Lucifer’s obsession but will he be able to keep her?
Dark, action-packed, suspenseful, funny and steamy!
Wow .
I didn’t know what to expect from this book so I went in with an open mind and by chapter two I couldn’t put the book down. This book is dark has triggers and this author is now on my favorites list.
Lucifer is a force unto himself and just like the name he is a handsome devil. He takes what he wants by any means necessary , he makes a way for it to happen and your just left standing there mouth open shaking your head thinking did that just happen.
But when he loves he loves with 100% all in . Like I said I couldn’t put this book down and sat up most of the night reading it I liked it so much I one clicked the next book in the series to read straight away. Izzy Sweet and Sean Moriarty the authors of this series really know how to put a story together and keep the reader so invested in the story line you don’t even realise your halfway through the book until next thing you know the sun’s coming up and you have the painful urge to pee lol . Five stars from me although I do have a question that wasn’t answered in the book so I’m hoping it will be answered in book two stealing Amy. Izzy Sweet
Love this story
Prepare yourself for a visceral story of power, possession, and love!
This book starts right off showing the violence inherent in Lucifer’s profession. The author pulls no punches, sugar-coats nothing about his little corner of the mafia world where his word is law and nothing is denied to the man who has the means to take whatever he wants.
And when he decides he wants Lily, it’s all she can do to hang on for the ride. Foremost on her mind, always, is the safety and well-being of her children, and I really appreciated the way the author used this hierarchy of needs to propel her into a romance that she couldn’t even begin to be prepared for.
At first one would think this is more of a Stockholm-syndrome captivity tale, until Matthew’s attraction turns into a deep love that transforms him and allows Lily to regain a bit of leverage in the relationship. Even though he takes away all her choices, she still retains the only one that matters most to him. And throughout, the intensity and violence of his world seeps into every part of their lives, accelerating their hearts to the inevitable HEA.
I bought this book via Amazon and am leaving my review voluntarily. I’m actually doing a re-read of this series because A. I really liked it the first time around and B. as I’m reading the Royal Bastards MC series, I was reminded how much I liked this author duo’s writing.
Triggers: murder, kidnapping, torture, extreme OTT/jp alpha
**spoilers**
Lucifer, top of the food chain bad guy in town.
Lily, mom of 2 and wife of a lowlife cheating creep.
When Lily’s husband fails to pay back Lucifer, he offers Lily as collateral. Lucifer has other ideas and takes Lily and the two children for himself.
Lucifer is determined to keep Lily and the children for himself forever. Lily is drawn to Lucifer but tries to find ways to defy and escape him. Eventually after some things happen, HEA.
The story is chock full of sexy times, violence and Lucifer’s OTT/jp where Lily is concerned and might be more than some can deal with.
Overall I liked both m/c. Who doesn’t like an overprotective alpha willing to do whatever it takes to protect his family?
The circumstances to which Lucifer and Lily started out were sinister; Lucifer took what he wanted and made no apologies for it. Lily soon realized that Lucifer would protect her with his life and fell hard for him. This book had a lot of dark elements but it is one worth reading
Why have I had this paperback in my possession for 1 1/2 years and am just now picking it up? The story grabbed me on the first (half) page and something about the written stature of Lucifer had me liking him. What the heck is wrong with me? According to the blurb, he’s a bad guy. Bad guy or not, I was glued to the book and finished it in one evening. The story line is not for the weak of heart or stomach, but the ferocity was contagious and had me devouring chapter after chapter. Interesting characters, children involved and enough description to knock your socks off. Little did I know that there’s another story. Look out Kindle, here I come for the download! NOTE: with that being said, Keeping Lily can be read as a standalone.
Wow this was an intense book. I couldn’t put it down. Matthew is a very bad man, but protects the ones he loves and his family. Lily was lucky to get away from that sick husband of hers, he was trash. Those 2 sweet kids, they sound so precious. Well this story kept me on the edge of my seat and I loved it. Thank you for the wonderful story, I really enjoyed it
The Devil is coming!
Lucifer and Lily were so incredibly hot and cold at the same time. After taking “possession” of Lily and her two kids, Lucifer seemed to take pleasure with convincing Lily that belonging to him was the best choice. I’m sensing a pattern with these authors that the alphas in their books have no problem accepting children who aren’t their own which is always super sweet and makes the happily ever after that much better.
Love the characters and how they build there love and trust of one another
